Cost of LLMP vs crowds expected

Do you find that crowds are higher on the days that Disney has priced LLMP higher? I thought most tickets don't need park reservations so I'm curious how Disney is predicting.
I see $35 for MK on days when there are parties and days when there aren't in the same week - why aren't the LLMP priced lower for party days?
I've planned our days and I'm getting worried based on the price of LLMP.

No one knows for sure but Disney. They likely have an algorithm that factors in basic trends (June is going to be busier than January, etc.), historical data, ticketing data, and the number of LLMPs that have already been purchased. Maybe they are sophisticated enough to factor in other data sets, like data from the hotel side, ADRs, etc. At any rate, with those various data sets, they can make pretty good guesses as to demand (note: demand and crowd levels are not the same). They've been doing this for just a little while.

Generally, the higher the price for LLMP, the busier the parks will be. Just like room rates, the more demand, the higher the price. And on party days, if a person buys LLMP for that park, it can be used at other parks once the first MP attraction is tapped into. And a lot of people park hop on those party days.

Good point! I forgot about people who use it and hop.
