Not a burden! If you don't hear back from us within a couple days or need quicker access feel free to tag us here or ask others too, message alerts can slip through the cracks. I promise we are a kind and understanding bunch like the folks who make up this wonderful thread here and will not be annoyed AT ALL :)
Thanks it’s awesome here so far, any hope getting into DISchurners?

I've been slipping and not here. I have an actual WDW trip coming up at the end of next month. And I totally missed that AMEX is raising the fee on my Gold card by $75 in October. I'll easily get value out of it with the additional Dunkin' credits.

Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap electric scooter? My 11 year old wants one to go to school since we aren't going to drive him anymore, but he needs an adult one since he's 5'7" and 140lbs.

What are the best options for hotel stays at or very near Disney/Universal using card points? All I can find are the Hyatts just outside Universal. Swan and Dolphin hotels do not seem to be a good value when using Marriott points. Any others?

Do you have any Chase URs….if so they can be used to book a lot of different hotels through the Chase travel portal

Candlewood Suites with IHG. I still have the $49 a year AF card and the FN cert always covers it. I think the IHg point cost is pretty low if you already have IHG points.

There are a few Hilton properties nearby, like the Conrad and WA. We have stayed at both with FN certs and HH points.

As for Marriott, the Swan Reserve is nice with a FN cert that covers it. Otherwise, I would not use Marriott points for any of the nearby properties. If you have the 35k FN cert it sometimes will cover the ones in Marriott Village like Fairfield Springhill suites. I believe Chase is offering. 70% UR bonus on Marriott transfers that ends today if memory serves. So that may make a Marriott point stay worthwhile with the bonus if you have URs to transfer.

I’m still waiting for support points from a June 22nd approval. I sent a SM a few weeks ago, and they told me to contact them after a full 8 weeks. I’m actually happy to hear others are having this issue as well. I was wracking my brain trying to remember if I used the link. Which I know I did.

If you contact before the 8 weeks, they'll just tell you to reach back out if they still haven't hit by then. I'd set an 8 week calendar reminder rather than bothering with it this week.
It didn’t post yesterday. Got 1-1/2 weeks until it’ll have been 8 weeks so I’ll wait a bit longer. Had hoped to use the points on the Marriott bonus transfer to use with fnc’s, but that’s how it works sometimes.

Chase made us sweat a little - DH's CIC app went pending, but was approved an hour later with $5000 CL.

Reference - he has an open CIP (9/23) with zero balance, and CIC (12/23) and CIU (5/24), both with substantial balances on them at 0% interest. I didn't reduce any CL on the cards with balances - one has a $20,000 CL and the other $14,000.

Chase and AmEx are my points sources as long as the bookings are at least equivalent to 1cpp.
With those limitations, you're pretty much stuck with Hyatt or booking through the Chase Travel Portal. Depending on what card you have that gets you UR, it's either 1cpp, 1.25cpp or 1.5cpp. Hilton is generally 2.5 points per cent and Marriot can easily be worse, especially for Swan and Dolphin.

Just applied for my second CIP (120,000 points with 3 month $8k spend) and received instant approval. First application was April 3rd of this year. It has a zero balance.

I was hesitant to apply so soon, but I think that I'm going to have to have a fairly costly medical procedure soon (testing my gall bladder - however they do that) and I figured that I could meet the minimum spend on a new card fairly quickly (instead of using my HSA, right!!??) so why not!

I thank you all for the continued support on this board. You give me biz cc bravery when I'd normally not have any!! :tinker:

Can you reimburse yourself for the medical expenses from your HSA even though you pay with a CC?

I can yes; however, I plan to cash flow this expense by earning points with paying with my new cc and not withdrawing from my HSA. I'm getting a nice interest on that HSA money and I don't want to touch it unless I absolutely have to (and I don't have to).

Just here to vent an annoyance LOL. I have Rakuten for me and p2. I use Edge for my main browser, and I cannot log out of P2 Rakuten account. I have been trying for weeks. So my Disneystore shopping trip didn't credit, because it was my email LOL. Wasnt' a big amount but it's so annoying. Why won't it let me logout LOL?
