Finally got my daughter's college graduation information. I'm going to invite my mom. I have a Hilton FNC and my Amex FHR credit. Which one would be better to use for my mom? I'd like to book the Waldorf Buckhead.

I’m using both. One for me and one for her. I just wasn’t sure if one was easier to do in someone else’s name.

Both will have to be booked in your name, but I would add her as a guest to the FHR reservation. You'll be required to use an Amex (sometimes Plat, sometimes any) for the FHR benefits, and the room ressie will need to be in your name and match the Amex card. I would actually book two people per room. Here's why:
Technically, a FNC needs to be used by you only, per the T&Cs. But if you have Diamond status, you will get breakfast credit x2, I think at $15 credit. For the FHR, you should also get breakfast for two. So if your daughter or son join you for breakfast, the four of you should be set.

Hey CC gurus! Have a decent spend coming up October 1 that doesn't take AMEX. Want to open a Chase...probably another INK (should've done it back with the referral but oh well). Question is if I apply tonight will the card get to me in NY by October 1st? Is there any way to expedite after applying online. Or is it like AMEX where they give you the number to use right away...I forgot what they did last time it was a while ago.

Chase will expedite an Ink, just message them right after approval. I would think you could get it by the 1st if you get instant approval.
Editing to add, messaging has been slow with Chase the last couple of week, I would probably call.

They dont give an instant card number like Amex does. You can ask for it to be expedited by phone, once the card came quick the other time it did not, it still took 5-6 days (holiday and weekend in the mix)

I got the sub on the CIP even though I already have one from many years back thats still open and active.

Premium cards get auto expedited. My husband applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve on Saturday and he received the card on Tuesday.

Unlike Amex, Chase won't approve you if you're not eligible. If you're approved, you're good.

wow ok. For some reason I had thought chase might approve you but you wouldn't get the bonus...and find out after hitting msr

No Citi will do that but not Chase.

Ink cards many people have multiple, please read through at least the last few pages of this thread to see recent experiences applying with multiple biz cards. If you’re approved for a CIU, you’ll get the bonus.

Agree..a few weeks ago it took 5 days….but today I sent a SM at 7am….heard back at 10am

Thanks! I was just worried about the timing since I'm already cutting it close with early October and trying not to "officially" earn the SUB until January. I've never had to spend slow before

Thank you! Unfortunately I forgot to unfreeze one of the credit bureaus and now it's in manual review purgatory and I need it by the 2nd the latest! We'll see what happens.
