Okay, so I got this....And then see my post below....when I logged in the CSR is showing in my account, LOL.

Thank you for your request.

We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible.

Thank you for choosing the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Does this mean I need to call them? When I hit submit it asked if I wanted to include other sources of income like SS, or Child Support. I'm on my mom's account, so it "shows" I get SS, but I don't, LOL.

Just tried for a retention offer via chat for my amex plat. The first rep handed me off to someone else who seemed to want to debate how the perks pay for the card. When I didn't agree, I was asked if I wanted to close it. I replied that I was inquiring about a retention offer. There was no offer. I began to type thanks and close the chat when the rep replied with a disclosure about agreeing to keep the card open, and requested that I confirm it. I replied that I didn't ask to close the card. To which the rep replied that he understood but wanted me to agree to the statement about keeping the card open anyway. Um, no. I ended the chat. I don't like to end chats abruptly without a kind word, but I was afraid if I typed anything I'd be agreeing to something! I've never been asked to agree to a disclosure when there's been no offer, but I usually call. Is this normal behavior for Amex chat?

I just chatted with them too, on my Delta Plat. For the third time. I didn't have that experience, but I got no offer either and they just kept typing me more benefits of the Plat.
So I downgraded to gold.

DH and I just joined Costco this past weekend (first time one has been within an hour of hour house). Just wondered if anyone has booked cruises through their travel department. If so, I have a couple of questions:

1. Can you somehow book through costco and also use your CSR at the 1.5x rate? I seem to recall someone talking about booking through one of them and then doing an agent transfer (or something like that) to take advantage of both offers, but I could be dreaming that too lol!

2. Can you use Carnival gift cards to pay through costco if booking a carnival cruise? If we sail carnival, I always buy the gift cards at a 10% discount through AARP or AllState rewards to pay through Carnival.

Thanks for any opinions/advice on booking through Costco.

Would recommend trying Cruise Compete to see if they can beat the Costco price. I've only done Disney cruises through Costco because you can't find discounts elsewhere.

The Costco perk is usually a GC that you get after the cruise. So I would think transferring to the Chase TA wouldn't work since Costco would no longer own the reservation by then.

Got another CIC in the mail today. I applied on 11/3, had it expedited and received the card on 11/7. So exactly one week after I got the first card, I got another. What is going on, lol. Last week I also got a Congrats email for my "new Chase Ink Cash", but that was for the one I received in January!

I've gotten that before. As far as I know, it's fine. I always say I'll keep it open "for now". The disclosure says you're keeping it open, doesn't say anything about how long you're keeping it open.

DP: Apped Thursday for CIC, requested expedited card, received it this morning. So about two business days.

Applied for a p2 CIC with referral. P2 credit is very high but dot a message it is under review. How long do reviews take? There was not a number posted on the message nor a followup email (checked spam too)

I don't have any advice on Costco as I'm going on my first cruise next year, but I used Cruise Compete at @wanderlust7 mentioned, and they matched the NCL offer and gave me some onboard credit. Have you ever noticed NCL gift cards? I wonder if I can get them at at discount somewhere and if cruise compete will accept them. The cruise payments have all coded as NCL so it's possible it would work.

A question for the board: I want to open a new Citi Premier card but don't have a way to hit the $4,000 spend for the bonus unless I buy visa gift cards at Simon Mall or at my local supermarket. I know Chase allows you to buy gift cards to get to the pend bonus, does Citibank allow you to do that too? And do they charge a cash advance for visa gift card purchases?

My AF posted 11/1 for my Bonoy Boundless. I'm thinking of canceling my card. I got it back in 2020 w/ the 5 FNC offer. I'm not a huge Marriott fan. How many days do I have to cancel it? Also I see the FNC in my Marriott acct. Will that be pulled when I canceled or do I get to keep it? My BF got the card in August when they ran the 5 FNC offer, so we have his free nights to use, LOL.

This happened to me recently and I was so annoyed with their reps that I canceled the card.
