I need to get to JFK from the Baltimore area. Is flying to ISLIP and Ubering to JFK my best option? Or the Acela train to Penn and Uber to JFK? Make the 4+ hr drive? Is the TWA Hotel worth the stay?

That would be an absurd Uber from islip to jfk: it’s over an hour without any traffic which is basically impossible.

The least stressful would be Amtrak to penn and AirTrain to jfk.

I would probably drive. I drive Philly to Long Island and back on the same day on a regular basis.

I live 10 minutes from ISP….it’s at least an hour and probably more given traffic on LI to JFK….no idea how much an uber would be….sorry no experience with your other questions….are you flying out of JFK just to stay at the TWA hotel

I thought of you when I saw some price drops on certain dates for this route. Maybe double check; the Saturday rates for our spring break look a lot better than they had been.
Nope. Been checking daily. Still 53k points pp one way. I'm freaking out a bit that they flight will sell out before I pull the trigger.
Got another CIC in the mail today. I applied on 11/3, had it expedited and received the card on 11/7. So exactly one week after I got the first card, I got another. What is going on, lol. Last week I also got a Congrats email for my "new Chase Ink Cash", but that was for the one I received in January!
Whoever expedited your card didn't cancel the original one or it was already in process. It's the card you would have gotten if you hadn't SMd. So now you have a card for P2!

Thanks. I have only ever taken the train to NYC so this is all new. Our flight is at 5:30 pm so we have plenty of time to make it to JFK if we drive up in the am or the night before.

Are 3 days needed at DL Paris or are 2 days sufficient? We went to DL many, many moons ago and I think we were able to complete easily in a few hours ( we had taken the train from Paris).
Two days is enough if you are only doing DLP. If you are doing both parks, you will probably want 3 days.
My AF posted 11/1 for my Bonoy Boundless. I'm thinking of canceling my card. I got it back in 2020 w/ the 5 FNC offer. I'm not a huge Marriott fan. How many days do I have to cancel it? Also I see the FNC in my Marriott acct. Will that be pulled when I canceled or do I get to keep it? My BF got the card in August when they ran the 5 FNC offer, so we have his free nights to use, LOL.
I got mine at the same time and just closed it a couple of weeks ago when I didn't get a retention offer. They have not pulled my FNC.

If anybody is looking for good points redemption deals to/from Europe next summer, Virgin Atlantic has some really good deals right now. I found lie flat seats for 65,000 pts. There was availability on several different dates both to/from the U.S. in June and July. Of course my luck is this: I transferred my 165,000 pts from AmEx to Delta last week to book a decent rate to HI. Booked the trip and then our plans change the next day to Europe instead. So now I have 165K miles with Delta, which is barely enough for an economy ticket on most Delta flights.

I don't have any advice on Costco as I'm going on my first cruise next year, but I used Cruise Compete at @wanderlust7 mentioned, and they matched the NCL offer and gave me some onboard credit. Have you ever noticed NCL gift cards? I wonder if I can get them at at discount somewhere and if cruise compete will accept them. The cruise payments have all coded as NCL so it's possible it would work.

Thanks @wanderlust7 - also, I checked AARP and AllState and they neither one have NCL gift cards. AllState has Royal & Celebrity and AARP has Royal, Celebrity, Princess & Holland America, but I think the terms on all but the Carnival are more restrictive. I can check into them if anyone is interested.

We arrived today at the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. This is a Luxury collection resort by Marriott. We initially visited and fell in love with the peace, quiet, desert, wildlife and amazing staff. I had not planned on visiting again so soon but with Marriott’s determination to devalue BonBlah points, I was determined to visit again before the deval. We are here for 5 nights using 400k BonBlah points since the 5th night is free. Last I saw it was now 480k for a 5 night stay. The staff gave us a warm welcome back as did a gazelle when we got to our Bedouin. Partridges, gazelles and a variety of song birds will share the patio with you and visit your private pool. Kind of makes you feel like a desert version of Snow White lol

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included at the on site restaurant. You also get to choose 2 activities per day at no charge. You can combine them as you like and do 3 on one day and 1 on another day etc. today we opted to just chill and have dinner. Tomorrow morning we will do the Falcon experience, archery and sunset camel ride. There are other activities available as well as the spa for an additional charge. I snapped a few pictures here for newer participants on this board that may be interested and weren’t with us here back in 2019. This time I also did a video room tour. Link below.

Next up on my MDD is the CSP today. AHHHHH! I guess the good news is, if I don't get it, I won't be too upset.

Also good luck to all the TSwift fans today! Out of all of us, my BF got a presale code. Of course he landed at like 2am from his flight and I don't have his account info. My sister is on the waitlist for presale. My friend has the Cap 1, so we'll try that presale too! She offered to buy my 17yo a ticket for her grad present.

Oh and I forgot, OD has the $15 back on VGC which is my fav offer, because I get the everywhere cards which only has the $4.95 fee bigger profit. And I can load those at WM w/ no issues! I doubt I'll use all my $11 back chase offers this week, so what other GCs are good to get at OD? I was hoping to score Target, but they don't have those! I could do food I guess. Any other good buys at OD to benefits from the 10 $11 back offers I have, LOL.

Last night I apped for the CiU from P2's CiC.... around 8 pm, got the 'we need to review' page, it was in my acct by 8 am today, I SM'd to expedite! Funny how something that I *didn't* want to happen ( broken stove, large tax payment upcoming) now means I get a shot at this deal! late last week I lowered all my CL's (it was 28k on a swa cc!) now to find another stove....

WOOOOO! I pulled off the MDD! Both times it asked me about including "other income" because I'm on my mom's bank acct and she gets SS. Both times it said it needed to review. Both times the card was in my Chase acct right after. So, how do I add the card to my apple wallet? I'd love to go hit up OD and start spending on some VCG! When I go to digital wallet and then apple in the app, I get an error.

Also are AUs free on the CSP? I know they are extra on the CSR. I'll order my 17yo a card and have her use it for gas if they are free, LOL.
