That's good to know. I think both offers are good to the end of the year and I'm not sure I want to do both, though I'm sure I just need to sign up for it before the offer is gone.

@ep1229 suggested the conrad Osaka and since I can use my fnc there for a weekday I'm trying to get more mr so I can transfer. I have enough but this is a splurge over the reg Hilton Osaka that I could cover with the Hilton points I have now. Just all mental that I even have an issue with using them I think it's just cause it takes so much more Hilton for stuff than it does hyatt.
I totally know what you mean about Hilton points. It’s so depressing looking at how many points it takes for one stay. If it weren’t for the fnc’s I’d dump Hilton by now. The Osaka Conrad is beautiful to though, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Now that the increased Ink offer is available via referral, I'd like my husband to get one. He currently has 3 Ink cards, should he cancel one before applying? His current business CL is at just over $20,000.

We need a new MSR so the timing is perfect.

You could lower the limits but it isn’t necessary to close any.

Hello peeps! We are in Dubai now. Flew in business on lie flat seats over. I opted not to position somewhere else and do the A380 and shower on the plane again. We used 100k Emirates miles and $180 in taxes per person. Originally they were Amex MR points that we transferred to EK pre Covid for a different trip that wound up getting canceled.

Upon arrival we checked into the LXR Habtoor Palace Resort. This is a Hilton property and we are here for 3 nights. We used 3 FN certs for the stay that we get each year for having the Aspire cards. We each have two of those.Today the hotel upgraded us to a suite! It’s bigger than our first apartment lol Initially we were in a gorgeous room that was huge and the hotel said they had been trying to get us into a suite all day but they were booked. We never asked about an upgrade and said that it was fine and no worries. Well they insisted they’d upgrade us to a suite since we were Diamond members. So I said as long as it’s no trouble we would be delighted to accept the upgrade.

Elite Hilton Honor members get to enjoy happy hour at the champagne lounge from 5 pm to 7 pm. We tried that out today and it was a lovely space with tasty canapés.

Are you heading to Al Maha after Dubai? Could you please 'hi' to Lorrain, Michelle and Michael for me? Lorrain is the BEST -- such an asset to the Al Maha.

Thank you 😊

Yes! We head over to the Al Maha in 2 nights. Yes, I will if I see them 😊 We are there for 5 nights, so I imagine I should.

I purchase two $499.54 Money orders. The money orders are $0.46. Then I swipe five cards.
Jealous! The only grocery store chain here that even allows cards as payment (as opposed to requiring cash for money orders) is also not supposed to allow gift cards. There are certain particular stores that care more than others--I have a few where the cashiers are okay with swiping one card (cashiers at the others immediately ask to see the card). Asking to use two cards, though, gets their attention.

@Minnie368 I would check out your particular local stores before planning to invest a lot in gift cards if you don't have an alternate way to use them.

Ugh. Booked SW flights to Costa Rica for Spring break. Terrible choices, either 5 am or 7 am. Somehow even though I was refreshing constantly by the time the flights loaded there were no Wanna get away left for the 7 am. Ended up transferring URs and paying 51k points pp for Anytime. 😭
I thought of you when I saw some price drops on certain dates for this route. Maybe double check; the Saturday rates for our spring break look a lot better than they had been.

Has anyone flown SW in Oct on points? Did your flights count towards A list status? I know they gave us credit for Jan-Sept. Trying to decide if I need to switch to $ flights to maintain A list status for next year.

I'm flying on points 11/6-11/13. Can let you know after, if that's not too late for your needs.

That whole "congrats, your past flights count towards A list" was really weird anyway. Normally, you'd do that to incentivize people to book the trip, but it was all retroactive. Bizarre. Now, if they had announced it as "through 2022 so book your flights now" that would have made more sense to me.

Update: I flew 11/6 and 11/13 on points. My flight count for A list has in fact gone up by one flight, I'm guessing the outbound. Return was just yesterday, so there's probably delay. I can verify again in a couple of days if I get credited the 11/13 flight as well, but it appears that points flights are counting towards A list status right now. That's or it's a fluke?

I got an amex offer on my Everyday (no AF) cc today... spend 2k,get 40k points..... opinions? is it worth the spend for 40k points? I usually transfer MR to a hotel program when it's a bonus time.....

Wow, thats an incredible offer if its no strings attached. Usually offers like that are reserved for upgrading to the AF card. 20 MRs/$ bonus is very nice.

Today's the day I apply for the CSR....AHHHHH and attempt the MDD too! So step one, is apply for the CSR. I lowered CLs and closed a card I wasn't really using. So I'm hoping I'm good to go on getting approved for that. Just got the referral link from my ex. So finger's crossed, let's do this!!! I'm not sure why I always get so scared before I sign up for a new card, LOL.

Are 3 days needed at DL Paris or are 2 days sufficient? We went to DL many, many moons ago and I think we were able to complete easily in a few hours ( we had taken the train from Paris).
