There is one relatively close to where I live now, they have very few gift cards out on display, but I have had them check in the back a couple of times to bring out more options.

I see it in my informed delivery email!
There's supposedly (according to the website) one in Prince Frederick and I've never been in the store. I have my grands today and really don't want to go but I've got all these offers! Plus a $300 statement credit on the Disney card I got back in June.

If I got there and no cards, I might be a slight bit miffed.

Route 1 is a possibility also but same story as above.

Looking at getting a second CIU. I was approved 4/29 so I think I’d be good for a second card. Are the credit limits on additional cards generally the same? Have a $5k college tuition bill I can pay.
Other option would be to try to get DH approved.
Any other good SUB’s right now? Don’t want anything with a large AF because school charges a fee for using a card. DH is 1/24 and I’m 4/24

Edit..looking at DH chase account he has a lot of cards he’s already pre-approved…including biz cards so I guess that wouldn’t be an issue. Just worried the credit limit won’t be high enough! I

You can always move credit from other business cards, I think the minimum they'll approve is $3K.

Good news everyone! Woke up to a new CIC in DH’s account. Yay! His call to recon yesterday worked! Just sent an SM to expedite. Hoping to be able to hit Staples later this week.

@570traveler
His last card was approved on 4/30 so about the same time as yours. He was given a $4k limit on this newest card. I usually end up moving credit from one of his other cards for more wiggle room.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I woke to an email from BA saying "Sean Doyle" aka the CEO asked me to handle this issue for you! So I guess my emails to CEOs worked!!! I have 200k in my Aer Lingus account! I went to avios.com to start the booking. There are seats on flights out, NONE on flights back. WAAAAAHHHH! The avios site errors out after a few searches. So I bought 24 hours of points.me again. But points.me is showing space on flights that show sold out??!?!? So now I'm on hold (phone) w/ Avios to have them book this for me. I hope they can find space!

OMG OMG OMG! I've booked our flights! I had the man on the phone searching anything possible for flights! I had to adjust to my "backup" days of 14-19. He was able to get us 3 business class on the way there and 2 on the way back! So my mom will have to fly economy back. She was fine flying it THERE! My sister happens to be visiting and started chiming in that it's unfair my mom has to fly economy! We likely won't get home until midnight and I have to teach the next day. My daughter will have school. My mom is retired! And if she wasn't doing this trip with me, she would have totally booked/paid for economy seats! I get it, but it's not even like we're promised to be together with our seats! I told her she can fly to ANY other airport (PHL, JFK, EWR, ORD, BOS, etc). She can also fly back on the 20th if she wants. This has been a nightmare of 2 weeks trying to get these points back, and I don't like my sister chiming in.

You should probably ask FT or /r/churning or /r/awardtravel
im sure someone there have experienced it before.
FT someone said this was the first time they'd heard of an error this big! Oh joy, LOL.

I was in popup jail for Schwab Plat for a year, maybe longer. I paid all of my AmEx balances to zero, waited a few days (maybe a week?), then was auto approved.
Hmmm, maybe I'll try that next elevated bonus. Sadly the Delta Plat Biz ended 8/3. Grrrr!

DH was approved for CIU! Got we are reviewing message but went and checked email and was approved.
How do I expedited the card? This is his first biz card so I’m not sure if he/I can SM through his personal chase account???

I SM'd from my personal account for my first biz card and it worked. It was 4 years ago though, not sure if anything's changed.

OMG OMG OMG! I've booked our flights!

Congrats! I was hoping to see a resolution each time I came back to this thread! I was sweating getting our Aer Lingus Biz seats and I was booking 11 months out! And we moved our travel dates up because the mid-June seats seemed to be less available and I could still see the early June ones.

The trip will be here before you know it! Glad you got it worked out!:shamrock:

Attention any cruisers! I really want to take advantage of Amex Celebrity NCL and maybe
Royal offers. Looking maybe late next year. However the fares next year compared to same
time this year are much higher. Any experiences of just booking something and if it price goes
lower getting money back or at least cruise credit. What about booking something but later
want a different location?

Sorry only experience with DCL before and Princess and I have never seen special offer with
DCL :D.

If another business class seat doesn’t open up…can the 3 of you rotate which 2 sit in business class…..I’ve never flown business so don’t know if that’s an option

How common is it to get emails from Chase that you are pre-approved for a card? These are not those silly “you are pre-approved to apply” things I get in the mail from various places, but actual pre approvals. Had a couple for the freedoms and two business cards. I probably should get a new card, but want to branch out a bit, I think. Besides, the $7500 spend on the biz is too much for me to handle.

The odd thing is I’ve only ever had one Chase business card before, which I closed after a year because the lack of consumer protections make me nervous. And my last Chase card was a “we need more time” with ultimately a stingy credit line. I think they may have even moved some credit around before approval, so to me that seemed to indicate that I was bumping up their max for me. But now they’re throwing cards at me.🤣 Is this something they do frequently?

Before final payment, you can get the price adjusted with a refare. After final payment, I think you can sometimes get onboard credit.

If you decide on a different sailing, usually you can get the money you've paid moved instead of refunded (and Amex Offer likely clawed back). Not familiar with Celebrity, but RCCL defaults to the nonrefundable deposit rate. You'd have to pay $100/person for changes. The refundable rate was $500 more for the cabin when I've looked into it.

Sometimes travel agencies will have a group rate that's better. Our recent RCCL Alaska cruise, my parents' cabin was a group rate that was refundable and was slightly cheaper than the nonrefundable deposit regular rate. But they only had it for cabins that fit 2, so we had to do the nonrefundable rate (lucky no changes needed).

Recommend getting a quote with Cruise Compete, that's how I found the group rate. Even without group rate, I've been able to consistently get at least 10% off as a discount or OBC.

Do you have to be in a group to get group rate. And the offer states you have to pay the cruise line
directly. How does that work with Cruise Compete or really any travel agent.
