I am disappointed with this new support offer; both of our Golds had 30K support before with no spending requirement. On my existing Biz Plat I'm seeing a 15K support, and I have an offer expiring today for 150K/$15K MSR for another Biz Plat (looks like NLL). I would take it if I thought it would pull the 4x additional MR support instead of the 15K support I see on the one I have.

Does anyone with a Biz Plat see the 4x additional support offer on their card?

Did you click into the biz plat support offer? It only shows 15k, but I see the 4x in addition when I click in.

Thanks! You're so quick!! I did see that when I clicked through, after you suggested it. I had edited my previous post because I do see lifetime language on the offer. I forget, if I do try to apply and get approved anyway, would Amex award points? Or would I just get a pop up? It's so weird to get an emailed offer since Amex obviously knows I have a Biz Plat right now.

Do you see LL in the e-mail or in the actual application terms? I thought all those were NLL.

I think you're supposed to get the pop up if you've had the card before and don't qualify, but I don't know if there are exceptions.

I saw the LL in the email, but not in the actual application terms, so I guess it's NLL because I just got instant approval!

I am looking for some advice regarding SW and their CP. We will probably be flying a combination of SW and another airline for our 2024 Hawaii trip so I was planning on DH and myself getting SW cards and earning CP's. I know it is better to earn the CP at the beginning of the year so you can use it for almost two years but we will not be flying SW in 2023 and have not thought about 2025 vacations yet.

Looking at the prior information when SW has released their schedules for August it has varied from year to year but early December seems to be when they open up flights for the first part of August. If the flight schedule is released in December and I want to book flights right away and use the RR points earned from the cc's I would be earning the CP's in the end of 2023. If I want to wait to earn the CP's in the beginning of 2024 and I transfer some UR's to SW to book DH's and my tickets would I have a problem using the CP later to add flights for our children or do I need to reserve their seats at the same time as we book ours? I do not want to transfer more UR's than I would need since we do not fly very often.

Since we probably will not be flying on SW in 2023 or 2025 I just need to figure out the best timing for getting the cards and CP's to use for Hawaii. Thanks for any thoughts.

New PYB categories on CSR and CSP are Airbnb, Away and dining purchases. 🙁

See comments in DoC:

ETA: confirmed with link in comments.

ETA2: Looks like dining isn't available with CSP. 😞
Happy to see dining remains for CSR. I use it exclusively for dining out, book all travel via CSR and then erase the equivalent amount in dining charges. I was hurrying to offset last week's Virginia trip charges before the end of the month just in case.

I agree Away is an odd option, so limited.

Anyone want to give me opinions on bathroom fixture finishes? Can’t decide between champagne bronze and chrome. Tile is a porcelain that looks like calacatta gold marble. FEF5D0EE-EAF4-48F6-9642-3EB577A8E97F.pngF76BF7CD-9B7D-4100-88B0-B6538717A94B.png4C5AD0D0-9DA1-4452-9940-1FD1BFBE5847.png

I kind of prefer it too. I'm just thinking the chrome is timeless so you can't go wrong.

Not a fan of gold finishes for anything including jewelry so probably not the right person to ask 😁 I've even got a badge for my sorority that is silver instead of the normal gold since it's also offered. But being fair skin and blonde I just find gold blends so I think that's part of it.

I think you can't go wrong with chrome or brushed nickel. I do think gold is having its moment again but it can age a room quick when it's not in style, thinking of rooms from the 80s.

But also don't feel like you can't mix things too. My kitchen had a brushed nickle faucet and a brushed look black cabinet/drawer knobs so nothing shiny. And if done right you can mix metals do could always go gold with pulls.

But I'd also consider what you want in the shower for the faucet and head as they should match the sink. And to me gold would get old much faster there than the sink faucet.

I do love the gold but I'm worried that it will be out in 10 years. I think the cheap builder grade brass chandeliers of the 80s and early 90s did so much damage to anything resembling brass!

The tile is beautiful my vote is for the champagne bronze
I liked it too. I was going to do a porcelain that looks like carrara marble, but I do have more warms in my house so pulling in a little warmth appealed to me. And I think it would look great with the champagne bronze. Shower will have a pretty 6” border with this mosaic.A26AB4E8-D0B6-484F-B8DA-C21C8A6DB099.jpeg

Now that's some advance planning! 😀 Love it.

I often book flights without adding my CP at that moment, so that I can easily change my plans around (harder to do when there's a CP attached to your ticket). The risk, of course, is that a seat will disappear while you're waiting. That has happened to me before, where the seats were sold out on a particular flight. But I obsessively checked the SW website, fully prepared to cancel my plans (since I couldn't leave DD home by herself) and when I saw a spot open, I snagged it.

Part of the decision, I think depends on how many flights are available on that route on that given day. If there are 20, that's different than if there are only 4, since with a limited supply the chance is greater that seats will be sold out.

Since 2024 is a ways away, you could look at getting as many URs as possible in the meantime so that you have enough URs to transfer to SW and book for everyone. Then after you've gotten your CP, cancel the children's flights and get those RRs back. Yes, you'd be left with RRs instead of URs, but I personally see RRs and Hyatt points as the best value for URs anyway. Especially if you have a CP.

Two sink faucets and shower faucet, two single sconces and pulls/knobs.

To me that's too much esp with the sconces and pulls. If you tire of it you'll hate it all not just a faucet.

Are there any other options in silver you like that aren't chrome or is it the faucet etc you like and those are the two color options you like?

Picking that stuff out can be so hard. Like this style but it's not the right finish etc.
