Is the mailed offer to add an AU to your plat? If so, I don't see why not. But if it's an offer to add it to your DH's plat (assuming he only has 1 plat), then I think it's just the same offer sent a different way.

Thanks! It was mailed to add an AU to my plat. Interestingly enough, DH had gotten the offer through email about a month or so ago and I set up the AU for DS from that. The same day that I got the mailer, DH also got a mailer. I didn't figure I'd try getting another bonus with his card, but I'd rather add DS again for my offer if I can rather than add one of my DDs. They are now establishing all of their own credit at this point and I'd rather not add to their information if I don't have to.

Thank you for the links! I'll study them! Those are only one way flights. I'll have to see if the plane has the shower experience! lol!

You're welcome! It was quite the experience. We positioned just to do the shower expereince. Booked a flight and flew from MIA-IAH in the morning because that was the only plane that had a shower and award availability for the day I was looking to travel. Our flight on the plane with the shower to DXB wasn't until the evening. Fortunately, we'd made friends with a couple on the DCL cruise that sailed to Iceland for the first time a few years before that live in Texas. When they saw what we were up to, they decided to pick us up at the airport and we had a day trip before our flight and got to hang out with good friends instead of spending all day at the Centurion lounge.

I used to get on this board a lot, you all helped me start traveling on CC points a handful of years ago. I'm still quietly at it :) Have a questions for the experts, I know I've seen discussion on here in the past about children having TSA pre-check. DD is newly 13. We just booked a last minute trip for Halloween. I have AA points that I need to use, so planning to fly. DH and I have TSA precheck. I know 13 yo's can't go through on the parents. Looking into it and it seems she would need some form of ID, which she doesn't have. I started looking into getting a state ID but it appears to be a whole thing and I don't know that we have time to do that and time for the precheck process. Hmmm :( Any suggestions? I mean kids don't have to show any paperwork to fly, how do they know she's 13 and not 12? :rolleyes1
The only other option that might be doable is if you're an enrolled member of an Indian tribe. I know I can go to my tribal office and get a new ID in ten minutes, same for my kids once they turn 10.

I doubt the ID checker is going to grill your daughter about whether she is 13 or 12, unless she looks 19. It's certainly possible that she gets Pre just for being on your PNR if both you and your husband have it. It's not guaranteed, but she would fit the profile of those that would get any extra slots the TSA has given your airline.

I’ll have to say I know nothing about any of these chicken places, Zaxby’s, Cane’s, etc whatever else. CFA is the only place I actually go for a chicken sandwich. Oh, and Sonic. They have a good chicken sandwich.
You need to expand!!!

My uncle sat down with the owner when it was only two locations in WI where he was pitching the ideas of opening more locations... He already owned two other businesses and several other things so declined...

I was living in IL at the time, I remember each time we went to WI we would stop there, the tray paper would have the locations, each time we went up they added one or two more... Then they jumped to TX. Took some years before they started moving to other states.
MI has quite a few now. And apparently once you're approved for a franchise, they'll let you open multiples anywhere. He's looking in MI.

My 16yo still gets TSA precheck on my ressies booked w/ her on it. I'm working on getting her GE now that she travels a lot on her own. As for ID, she has a driver's license now, and they still rarely ask to see it. Prior to having her license, we used a school ID and had her birth cert. So I think at 13, you'll be safe. (my 16yo was on my precheck for our Aug trip. And TBH, I don't think they'd even look if not since it's clear they are my children and all together).

I'm full of questions today - I've always paid our cell phone bill with the CIC to get the 5x points. I'm thinking about switching to AmEx plat. For the coverage to be in active, does it matter if the phone bill is in DH's name and I use my Plat to pay the bill?
My phone bill is in the ex's name. And I use my IHG premier to pay it and it's covered (I've filled a claim). We have the same last name still, LOL.

I booked a room using the Amex portal for 2 nights at a HC , I only prepaid the deposit but the charge hasn't shown up on my card. Do I need to prepay the entire thing to receive the $200 credit?

Just stumbled onto this thread and looking for advice! I hope it's appropriate to this conversation!

Is the Disney Visa worth it JUST to use for discounts? I'm thinking of a solo trip either at the beginning of December 2021 or January 2022 and no general public promos have been made available! I'm wondering if it would be worth opening just for that. And any discounts while I'm at WDW. I wouldn't consider it a day-to-day credit card as I have others I'd rather use for that. Thoughts?

I was just approved for Sapphire 100,000 offer in my name with my husband as an AU.

We already have other Chase cards in his name with me as the AU.

When I set up my online account for the new card, can I use the same dashboard as 'his' cards? I'd love to see all of our Chase cards on one dashboard rather than having to manage two portals. Is this possible?

I’m pretty sure you have to set up your own log in…both DH and I have cards and both have our own log in…which I manage..lol…

Amex supports have changed (for the supporter). I'm seeing additional 4x for 3 months on MR earning cards. Biz plat has 15k plus the 4x. I had elevated ones at 20k, so that went down. The offers with only 4x would probably be a negative change if you weren't planning to spend on the card. On the plus side, it wouldn't be subject to the 55k support max. I would think wouldn't be subject to tax either since it should count as a rebate.

I think it's going to work out for me since I'm working on the 15k MSR for the BBP. Great offer if anyone is working on MSR for the biz plat!

DH got the offer on his Chase Southwest Priority card - earn 2000 RR points per month when you spend $2000 per month on the card. It's for October, November and December, so up to 6000 points for $6k in spend, spread over 3 months.

Am I missing something that I'm not even remotely tempted by this offer? The SW card is a sock drawer card for us, other than paying taxes on SW flights and paying for priority boarding. We've got the CFF, CFU, CSP, CSR and CIP (among others), so any purchase is going to get us at least 1.5 URs per dollar, which seems way better than the extra 1 RR (so a total of 2 RR per dollar) that we'd get by using the Southwest card. Again, just want to make sure I'm not missing something, especially since we never seem to get these targeted offers!

I got the 1000 points offer on my Hyatt card. Agree it's not tempting. I try to never be without MSR anyways. But I added it just in case there's something I can stack it with. If I have Hyatt spend, I'll put it on my Hyatt card anyways. No plans before the end of the year that will get to the $1000 level though. Or on the small chance a high value Chase Offer I can use comes up.

I didn't even realize that was per month! I was trying to figure out the math on how they got double rewards. There's no way I'm doing $2k/mo. I only got it for IHG. So I don't think it's worth it. Esp since I just got another 150k for the new card.

I am disappointed with this new support offer; both of our Golds had 30K support before with no spending requirement. On my existing Biz Plat I'm seeing a 15K support, and I have an offer expiring today for 150K/$15K MSR for another Biz Plat (looks like NLL). I would take it if I thought it would pull the 4x additional MR support instead of the 15K support I see on the one I have.

Does anyone with a Biz Plat see the 4x additional support offer on their card?

NVM, I found the LL on it. Moot point!
