A question for the SW folks: is there any way to get points back (rather than a travel credit) for canceling when SW changes the schedule (a lot)?

Odd. I rarely use the app, just online login- trackers on all accounts this past month
I rarely do either unless I happen to want to check when I'm not home, and I just happened to notice the tracker on the BA card. I'm just glad it's somewhere where I can see it!

If the flight is booked with points they automatically go back into the RR account when you cancel the flight …for the $5.60 fee you pick if you would like it refunded to the original form of payment or a travel credit

Fares booked with points
When you cancel a fare booked with points, the remaining point balance will be refunded to the account from which they were booked. Any taxes and fees will be eligible for a refund.

Does the chase status line still work? I applied on Friday for a CIC and have no idea of my status.????
I think the status line is hit or miss. I applied for a CIU Saturday evening and the card was showing in my account on Sunday. Got the we need more time message on the application.

I am going to assume that you paid in cash, and are wondering if there is anyway to get points in lieu of the travel credit. The answer is no as far as I am aware, but you may be able to get a cash refund.

Under DoT regulations, a significant schedule change entitles you to claim a full refund (although i'm not sure that 'significant' is clearly defined). I can tell you that I have successfully obtained a refund for a flight that was removed from the schedule and I was rebooked onto a flight which left over 4 hours earlier. I contacted SW by DM Twitter, told them I would be unable to make the earlier departure and was issued a refund. It took about 10 days to hit my card.

You stated the schedule was changed by a lot, so it might be worth pushing for a full refund if the new flights don't work for you.

RIP SW Change Window 😢 Notice the new language. I tried booking this same flight to change and no dice.

I just got this too on a modified flight. It was spelled out one time change :worried:. Odd thing is they changed me to something that doesn’t even show as an option if I tried to book. Anyway the newly modified flights are 10 hours of travel and I changed to 6 hours. BOZ->CMH. This is backup to Glacier NP.

Dh and I just got our first citi cards. So you’re able to book Disney with the TYP?
Yes but only by calling and only through Cruise department which I always have trouble getting to. Every time, I press like 3 or 4 buttons and still get the wrong person who says they can help but can't. Must be Cruise Department.
Which cards? Citi Premier?

Ok, a WWYD question. I'm flying to Atlanta on a Saturday (my 16 year old is probably joining me) for one night. My daughter's birthday is the following day. I was originally flying in early Saturday and out Sunday around 2 PM but the 2 PM nonstop now leaves at 11:30 AM which basically means I need to head to the airport by 9AM. I have a room at the Ritz Carlton using my $200 Amex Fine Hotels credit. So I may be able to check in at noon on Saturday and check out Sunday at 4 PM. Just trying to figure out if I take the 6 AM flight on Saturday or the 4 PM flight. So options are arrive at 8 AM or 6 PM. Departing flight won't be until 10 PM the following day. The 6 PM honestly sounds fine since I could take her to a late dinner then do brunch the next day and probably hang out with ds Sunday afternoon.

Ok, I am a newbie here...I read through the rules, hopefully this question is ok...
I'll be booking tickets for my family of 9 and possibly also booking a VIP tour....Wondering if anyone has recs for a new card with an intro 0% interest period of at least 6 months that would offer additional perks for spending > 5k for Disney tickets/services... though it does not have to be a Disney related credit card. My credit rating is "very good", sometimes "excellent". My current credit cards are Bof A Signature visa, Chase Freedom Unlimited Card, Taget red card. Thank you!!

I have the citi rewards+ card. I never thought to use TYP for Disney. We ended up getting gift cards I think

I'd take the 4PM flight, with the airport being on the southside of ATL and you being on the northside. To me, the 6AM flight would mean that you have to get up at o'dark thirty to make sure you make it across town in time. In addition to the fact that who knows what TSA lines at ATL are right now and will be then. Are you going to have a car or Uber it? You might try Marta, I think there is a station in Buckhead that will take you right to the airport.

Sorry, the 6 am flight is leaving Richmond going to ATL. And yes on Marta (although DS will gripe as public transportation isn't his thing). Last time we were in ATL in April, Uber was insanely expensive (as in $35 to go two miles). And thankfully we both have TSA precheck and I have Clear. And this is the other Ritz--the one downtown. But I do want to get to Buckhead:)

I do think arriving at 6 PM Saturday makes more sense since DS is coming. Otherwise I'm in for a long day. And this way DD doesn't feel obligated to spend too much time with us (my only expectation is hopefully dinner on Saturday and breakfast/brunch on her birthday. Plus less time away from the nutso puppy who is velcroed to me.

I'm not sure if all cards earning TYP have access to the same rewards. Until earlier this year, the Citi Premier could book travel etc at 1.25 but they recently changed to 1x. I also have a Sears card that gets TYP and earns a ton of points because they send bonus offers. I had to transfer those points to Citi Rewards card (and transferring is limited to 50k points per year IIRC)in the past and did so in April this year and got 3 five day WDW tix. I logged into to my Sears TYP portal last week to see access to stuff I could only access on Premier before so maybe I could book Disney etc with my Sears TYP now but I haven't tried. I did use 8k points to book a private car from ORD to the Hilton we will be staying at in 2 weeks.
ETA the SUB on Citi Premier is 80k, which is $800 of Disney hotels if that's what you're interested in.

I just called to cancel the Biz version of the AMEX platinum card. I was offered a $300 Statement credit which I considered since I would receive another $200 Airline Credit next year and another $100 Microsoft (DELL) credit however since I am already sitting on $341 in Microsoft credits I just decided to let it cancel. I am sure since I did that there will be amazing AMEX offers that I will start missing out on but that is ok.

I think you've got a good plan then. Marta is one of the cleaner mass transit's that I've been on (I have one DD who hates public transportation too - suck it up buttercup). If you're at the Ritz downtown, you should be close to the Five Points station and with Clear and pre-check TSA shouldn't be a problem. I had Clear for a time and loved it but unless we all have it it does me no good. We all have pre-check so that works for now.
