I have wanted to try Supergoop for a long time, but when I look at it in the stores there are too many products to choose from. I get confused and walk away. Is there a particular one (or a few) that you would recommend?

Sorry I'm late to the party but I love SuperGoop City Sunscreen Serum, my SIL thanked me for referring her to the brand and prefers the daily dose vit C + sunscreen and sitting near the dogs' leashes is the Everyday spf 50 18 oz pump. I've used my saks $50 credit and/or buy it from Sephora when that's 10X MR on Rakuten.

Just dipping in after my 10 day vacation-Hyatt girl gone wild, lol.

I flew Delta, thanks to Skymiles/amex credits from PNS-AUS, spent the night at the Hyatt Place Austin Airport -cat 1 so 5K Hyatt points. I've stayed overnight before and the shuttle is easy, the people friendly and Grubhub delivers Taco Cabana so I'm happy.

The next am flew AUS-LAX-TUS and was picked up by a contracted private driver since the shuttles were otherwise engaged and began my 5 nights at Miraval, AZ (225K Hyatt points). Miravals are all inclusive, food and nonalcoholic beverage wise as well as including $175 fee/night if you book on points per person so some of my classes and spa treatments were covered. (Note-if you have another adult in the room the points price is 65K/night.) The service was quite good and I was given a several level upgrade with my Globalist status.

I then flew back to Austin (TUS-LAX-AUS) and used my 60 night Globalist FNC at the Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin for 1 night. It was a very nice, historic hotel (Cat 5 property) and I really want to return in the fall and really explore it more thoroughly.

Then I Lyft'd to Miraval Austin and spent 3 glorious nights there (135K Hyatt points). I was also upgraded there due to Globalist status. Sadly, all good things must come to an end so flew home AUS-ATL-PNS and eventually (after multiple delays) made it home to the dogs, DD, and DH. My bags took longer than 20 minutes so used Delta's Bags on Time claim as I was waiting and received 2500 skymiles for my wait.

A couple take homes- Delta has partnered with Lyft so I received double skymiles for trips to/from the airport (as well as 10X URs so double dipped!). Austin's SkyClub is my new favorite, although LAX had the best food of ATL, AUS, LAX. I am not a desert person so although it was very nice, I don't expect a repeat of my AZ Miraval trip.

So 365K Hyatt points spent, multiple classes, several spa treatments, 10 nights in Hyatt properties and a wonderful birthday all due to this fun points and miles game😃

Has anyone done the Chase business checking bank bonus? I made the mistake of going late Friday, and it took over an hour. The banker didn't seem to know what he was doing, and said there's no place for him to enter the promo code. He wrote it down on a post-it and said he'll have his manager submit an exception request. Also because I was running late to pick up my kids, I neglected to ask for my account info. Now looking through the packet of documents, there's no account information for me to push the deposit through and I don't see it automatically added to my card's login. Do I just have to call?

Uggh. Looking at my Glacier NP trip and the wildfires started early. I don't know if I should just suck it up and go regardless or cancel again! The food options in the park are take out only and one place we are staying has no food at all so we need to either drive outside the park or eat all meals from the cooler for 3 days. Now the wildfires in the NW are causing the air quality to be unhealthy. I am reading with the limited tickets for the GTTSR that it is getting crowded earlier in the day like 6:30AM. And they are in the middle of that heat wave in the NW. It is so much money (offsetting with PYB to cover all costs). I am just feeling so blah about it. I feel like I will compare it to what a perfect trip would be and feel disappointed. This trip is my white whale. It is determined to vex me forever.

Just looked at options.
I have accommodations, rental car and flights for Yellowstone in September we could do that instead.
Just quickly booked hotels for New England (VT/NH) same week as GNP if we decided to bail and DS can't move his vacation to September. We would drive so no flights or rental car needed or to be found at this late date.

Have to ask DS what he wants to do.

I'm sorry, I was hoping things would be better for you this year for this trip. I've wanted to do this trip for literally 25 years. I started to plan it one year when I realized that combined with my kids be eh about it and not really wanting to be constrained to go during school breaks, I pushed it off and now its one of my "when they're out of the house trips". Between the wildfires and the heat, the window of going to Glacier before winter sets in is getting shorter and shorter.

Did you prefer one of the Miraval over the other? I've wanted to go to one but didn't know if one would be better than the other.

We were at Glacier over the 4th, had a wonderful time! I have a mini trip report in the pre-trip report.
https://www.disboards.com/threads/set-to-fail.3828259/post-63167182We had an amazing time, for food we had sandwiches for lunch on the trails, Costco pizza the first night, drove to Babb on the second night (only about 25 minute drive from Risingsun), and Whitefish on our last night. We didn’t have any trouble with food. happy to answer questions.

Thanks for linking. Sounds like it was a great time. It is so hard to get in after GTTSR opens and before wildfires/smoke. The window is very short. I read another trip report on TA today that made it sound ok so I am back to leaning on going. We probably won’t have picture perfect skies like you did but it will still be Glacier! I’ll probably make the call next weekend.

We’re fine with breakfast And lunch from the cooler. And we can be with dinner, I just hoped we’d get cooked dinner!

A few questions if you have time. Where did you eat in Babb? I’m still looking at different places.
I’m staying at Rising Sun and Swiftcurrent in motel rooms. Did they have coffee pots? If we can make hot water, I’ll take instant oatmeal for breakfast.

Does the chase status line still work? I applied on Friday for a CIC and have no idea of my status.????

The wildfires and poor air quality aren't early this year, this is the new normal. So if they are a concern, not looking at any of the other issues you would face due to covid restrictions, my suggestion would be to go earlier in the summer or late spring. I would consider fire season to be from July 1 on with the possibility of June fires, though most of the one's that are taking days/weeks to put out started after the 4th. We haven't had rain in like 35 days, I forget what the actual is could be more, isn't less. And that's for our side of the mountains, which now has to consider we're in wildfire danger the way our summers have started going. The east side also isn't getting rain and for all I know it's been longer, they don't mention it on the news. But they have been getting dry lighting.

Did you prefer one of the Miraval over the other? I've wanted to go to one but didn't know if one would be better than the other.

I did, with a couple of disclaimers:
1) I’m a cancer and a total water baby so the desert is not my ideal environment.
2) I ate something that made me ill and so I was pretty uncomfortable for 2 days in AZ
3) I spent 10 days last year at Austin (and attended school about 90 miles away) so it felt more like “home.”

So while I cannot praise the staff and the programs and spa enough in AZ, the Austin is still my favorite 😍

I took a class with two ladies who were there for their 6th trip and the other lady in the class was on her 8th so I suspect I’m in the minority, though!

In Babb we are at Two Sisters Cafe, nothing special but it was a good meal, the huckleberry pie a la mode was delicious.
We stayed in the hotel rooms (not the cabins) and they both had these coffee makers in the room (the double version) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010XECW...abc_70PZF5X6MGRTACW4H13P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1. will work for oatmeal. I did overhear that the cabins at Swiftcurrent didn’t have coffee makers.

Thanks. Two Sisters is on our list. We’re in the motel rooms not the cabins so it looks like making oatmeal will work.

I suppose I should think about whether there is a retention offer that would make me keep the biz plat. I did get a retention offer last year so I was assuming I wouldn't get one this year (AF posts next month). The airline and Dell credits are not very appealing. Does anyone find this card worth keeping after the first year?

I chatted last week on my biz plat and they waived the entire AF so I ended up keeping it. I had already used the Dell credit and was ready to cancel it. Now my CS Plat I was keeping but still tried to get something especially since P2 got 50k MR’s. But many chats and no offer. It really is so random.
