I'm still trying to understand how the FF has the 5x already, and then the 5x for this quarter..... does it give you10x on greocery?

No. It gives you 9X, from what I understand. 1X for each $1 and then 4X UR's for each bonus category.

Still an outstanding haul of UR's for each $1 spent.

Been outside and it's starting to boil at almost 90 with 70% humidity.

So taking a break to check out what's new in the churning world.
It’s so gross here. Running errands and then inside to read. Did get $1000 in visa gift cards, converted $1000 to money orders and paid my mortgage (with money orders).
And sil texted asking how my dad was since he fell down the stairs and broke his collarbone? But my mom hadn’t told any of us this happened. I’m really worried about his health:(

Looking at my upcoming card plans. Since I think I probably won't get lucky on the CSP while the offer is high. I'm currently 3/24. I would like to try for the MDD at some point. And I want to churn the IHG premier. Does it make sense if the CSP offer drops, to perhaps do the IHG and then do another INK card? I had the CIP, which I PCd to the CIC in Jan. I just got the CIU in June. So I could possibly do the CIC for a SUB right? Is it 24 mos between Ink bonuses, I know I can get the CIC since I've never gotten a SUB. Or do they not care at all?

I'm trying to calm my FOMO right now. So I guess I could feel better about missing out, if doing the CIC, LOL. Because if I did the MDD right now, I wouldn't be able to do the IHG card until 4/2022, or any other Ink cards.

If you want another CIC for a SUB, the better plan is to get an EIN for your sole proprietorship and apply as a different "business" using the EIN instead of your SSN. It's a way to double up Ink bonuses within the same 24 month period and they are treated as separate applicants. If you're 3/24, grab the CSP while its at 100k and then MDD from 4 --> 6/24 when you're done with business cards (or they won't give you anymore and you start seeing multiple rejections).

Awe, sorry your Dad took such a dangerous fall. Hopefully he recovers well and gets back to whatever normal is for him.

I just got news that ex brother in law, my kids uncle may be going into hospice due to a fast moving skin cancer. I'm totally shocked as we are about a year apart in age. Sometimes life just isn't fair.

And I had some stuff I had to buy at Lowes, and was ready to use my CIC for the 5% UR.

Lowes must have heard me thinking because they emailed me a 10% coupon that didn't exclude my purchase and that didn't appear to have an upper limit. My materials cost over $700 so the discount was nice.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry. And no, it isn't. This year one SIL lost her dad, the other's dad has cancer that's spread to his bones, and the kids' paternal grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It all sucks.

And I was just at Lowe's buying more mouse traps. Ugh. Caught one but then realized there was another when I came down to a chocolate easter bunny unwrapped in my pantry. Got another one but there are still more. And they're spiteful. They have been in my oven drawer and last night they shredded one of my silpat mats. I think I need to call someone to figure out where they are coming in.

Orkin comes to my house and they spray the perimeter against intruding pests. I have an older home and they are particularly vulnerable I think. I started with Orkin when we got fleas years ago. Dogs would go outside and cats inside so it was a recipe for disaster. Yes, I treated my animals but not year round and tried to minimize it. Because I can't believe that it's healthy for them to be poisoned.

Anyway, Orkin to the rescue and we were okay. We also had a few mice in winter so I addressed that and they said that the outdoor perimeter spray would take care of them.

Anyway they are gone and now I get 4 visits a year to keep things clear and no treatments are done inside. Only exterior and we are good so far. However my guy questions me every visit to make sure I haven't seen anything.

Oh, they also went around the perimeter outside and checked for any entry points. I had an old hose bib that was no longer connected to water so they sealed around that, plus a quarter sized hole that was an older exit for an outside lamp post that I no longer have. They put a copper colored metal mesh in these holes. Some of the workers are better than others. But mostly I get the same guy and he's great.

Edit: I've since changed out my stove but the mice really got into the stove insulation and pulled it apart when I had them. Nasty things.

Thank you! I will give them a call Monday. Dealing with mice (both dead and alive) is getting old).

How long should I wait before applying for a personal card? I just got my barclay biz in the mail and my last personal card was approved on 1/1/21.

What is the 24 month between Ink Bonuses rule? Is that to get the same Ink card or any/all Ink cards? I don't remember hearing this rule. Is it new?

They haven’t been enforcing the 24 month rule on any of the ink cards, speed is what’s important, 3 months in between each of your Chase cards.

It wasn’t too bad at 7 am when Puggles requested to go out but it is brutal now when I just took him out.

I was over in Virginia at Lowe's in Alexandria at 7am. I should have gone at 6am when they opened as by the time I got out of the garden center and through the checkout I was a sweaty mess. I was across the Wilson Bridge before I got cooled down.

My dog has gone out about 4 times so far today. He's 11 and I think he needs to go fairly often as he gets older. But, he runs out, squirts a bush and runs right back in. Takes him a minute or so, lol.

Disgustingly hot here too, in SC. However my dogs love being outside, even in this weather. My younger will play fetch in 95 degree weather for hours. He'll go jump in the pool every 5 minutes, and then get right back to it, lol. And if I don't take him out to blow off energy, he cries and whines at me inside all day. The dogs truly are like their humans I believe... we spend so much time hanging outside (more than inside) that our dogs expect it now, even on this disgustingly hot week haha.

Just booked the HR Chesapeake Bay for 2 nights (Sun-Tues). They only had an ADA room available that I felt bad booking but it was my only option. It would have been almost $1000 for the 2 nights, instead I used 2 FNC. I think that’s a pretty good value. We will take Puggles with us so it will be a true family vacation. Now to find dog friendly restaurants.

OMG, not Puggles. And he is particularly bad now that he is on the leash full-time. It takes him at least 30 min or more. I wish we had a fenced section for him to play in.

If you can make both MSRs, NOW. Assuming that personal card was Chase, recommended spacing is 3 months. It's been 6. If it is a Barclay's personal, I don't know the Barclay's rule but I would stick with 3 months to be safe.

While I was at Lowes I saw their no dig fencing. There are sections that are 4.7 ft long and 40 inches high which should be high enough to keep Puggles in. If you are not ready to fence a huge yard - I don't really know what size yard you have - you may be able to create a play space for him with this product. A nice installed fence is thousands. A 'run' maybe 15 to 20 feet long and 4 ft wide - if you have the yard space that will work, could be done easily for about $500 and it is movable and eventually disposable if you decide to put up a permanent fence enclosure.

I bought a small version to put around some flowers about 10 years ago and it is still in great condition. I use about 4 sections to keep my dog from doing the nasty on my walled patio. It blocks the entrance to the patio and he can't jump high enough to scale the wall. I don't mind cleaning after him but not right when I'm ready to have coffee a few feet away.

You use metal posts that come with a piece that gets hammered into the ground to connect the fence.

Editing to say I have a Yorkie and he can jump but not really high. If you have a jumper, this might not work for you.
