So they can post it on United even though it’s pending government approval? I didn’t realize that. That’s kind of strangeyes, pending government approval...
i cant seem to find that flight until after April 1st 2020.

Just had my AF post on my SW biz card. It’s over a year old now. I’ll probably cancel this card. I can’t really think of a good reason to keep it. I just need to cancel before my next statement closes right?
If you're up for another call here's an extension for a rep that's been helpful with transfers before -I’m about to just give up transferring my cruise to Chase. I thought third time was a charm. At first the girl said yes, I’d be able to use my Urs later for one payment to Chase. Then she asked if I had called Royal about transferring. I told her no bc I thought Chase handled it. She put me on hold for like 20 minutes. When she came back she said according to her supervisor they could handle the transfer but I would have to make a payment to Chase today using all my points.
I might try once more tomorrow but I’m about to just transfer to Costco. Might not be as good of a deal but I think I’m running off of Chase travel reps
Huh okay that’s something I need to keep in mind I guess. Seattle is low on our list to use as a positioning flight but it’s an option. Right now I think we’re hoping for either Chicago or JFK. The availability for 2 adults is terrible right now in December. I’m hoping it’s just the time of year and I’ll see a bunch open up when they get into January. Otherwise idk what our backup will bemost likely if it doesnt work out, u can get put on the other flights from LAX, SFO, etc to HND... im sure there wont be a problem though.
Hey - I have less than a million Marriott points (at least temporarily)...
I just booked a couple of placeholder Swan reservations for early November. We might want to go down to Sea World and I just love the BW area of Disney so much I thought it would be neat to stay there. Of course paying the stupid resort fee and parking charges don't sit well with me so I don't see this plan sticking...but I figured I'd at least lock the rooms in now while I can.
EDIT: And while I'm at it, I just booked Swan for our January dates for next year. Again, probably won't stay there, but at least I have it now, HAHA! I love having a crap-ton of Bonvoy points laying around!
Yes. SW had been booking flights to the Caribbean while they awaited approval. They had some flights at ridiculously low prices during this period. So they can post it on United even though it’s pending government approval? I didn’t realize that. That’s kind of strange
If we don't stay at Swan we'll just stay somewhere on I-Drive actually. I'm not looking for anything fancy as we barely spend any time in the room on this trip. Last year we actually only spent 65 hours on the ground in Orlando for this trip, HAHA! (That's from the moment the plane touched down to when we took off for home)If you aren’t going to Disney and will rent a car, maybe look into one of the Marriott vacation clubs...no resort or parking fees...we have stayed at a few booked with URs and highly recommend them
I really like the Renaissance if I am going to SeaWorld. I have always gotten updated to a theme park view and the breakfast is delicious!Hey - I have less than a million Marriott points (at least temporarily)...

We looked at that last time but then went back to the tried and true Homewood Suites on I-Drive. I just didn't like that there was nothing of substance walk-able from the Renaissance. I sort of enjoy all the walkable restaurants and touristy stuff on I-Drive and when we get back from the park in the evening it's nice to not have to get back in the car.I really like the Renaissance if I am going to SeaWorld. Wow I had no idea this was a thingYes. SW had been booking flights to the Caribbean while they awaited approval. They had some flights at ridiculously low prices during this period.
Thanks. I think I might sign DH up for this card and then me in a few months. Then I can go back to Chase again.I signed up for that card last fall. I had not seen it higher but I’ve not followed it for long. Yes, 60,000 points will get you $750 in Disney tix. In December I was able to pull up Disneyland tix on the TYP portal and the price was higher than retail (like $550 for tix on Disney’s website for $470) and it showed the points needed as 1:1 or 55,000 TYP in my example above. When I looked this past Saturday I couldn’t bring up any tickets on the TYP (not Universal either which I thought were there before.) When I called though, the Cruise and Tour Department was able to find them and the price was exactly the same as Disney’s price and TYP were worth 1.25 Long story short, don’t look on the TYP site and call the Cruise and Tour department.
ETA: I’m not sure if you can combine points from 2 people. I did transfer from one card to the other, but my name is on both cards. Once transferred the points expire after 90 days
