This is pretty funny, and it will work instead of isopropyl. But it's worth noting ethanol-based alcohol (as Everclear and vodka are) will dry out your skin much faster than isopropyl alcohols. So if you go the Everclear route, keep a moisturizer handy.

I have a reservation for WDW for May and today is my 60 days and I haven’t bought our tickets yet. This uncertainty is killing me especially since both my parents have health conditions that would probably kill them if they got Covid19 and we are living with them right now. The cost of 6 tickets, even FL residents ones, is a lot to lose if the situation gets worse and we don’t go. I am the opposite of a germaphobe but this one is getting to me.

FP are not worth the stress.

About freaking darn time. I’m sorry in that I try not to have opinions on what people should and shouldn’t do because we make our own darn decisions but... a cruise ship is a stupidly easy environment to transfer disease, crew members stick around for the next voyage and this thing is apparently rather dangerous to old people.

I hope airlines, hotels and rental agencies will work with our older population but as this gets worse and worse they will get harder and harder to deal with

If anyone’s still looking for hand sanitizer, check gas stations. My daughter got car sick on the way back from seeing the grandparents and the gas station we stopped had plenty of Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer. Which we gladly overpaid for at the time

Do we need to carry our cards with us when we travel?

I was told last Friday at my GE interview I did not have to carry my card when I travel, but can use it as additional ID if I like. He made it seem like the card was just kind of a formality.

in person? I tried online once and it wouldn't go through because it wanted the 4 digit AMEX code, but on these dumb Amex gift cards the code is a 3 digit code.

Yep. It's a warning for everyone, really. This is essentially the US government shooting a torpedo through the cruise industry for the next two quarters.

This should have happened after Diamond Princess probably. The cruise industry is about 60 billion I think. Airlines 250 billion. If we (taxpayers) have to save them, I hope we give a little thought to all the regular folks about to lose jobs because of this nightmare.

I'm not sure where they are registered matters. They are publicly traded companies headquartered in the U.S.

I'm sure they will. Unfortunately in economic shocks like this, there are always losers--even when the government tries to help. Like restaurant servers in tourist destinations who will likely have their hours cut. They won't necessarily lose their jobs, but may see a reduction in income.

Waiting foe Mom to pick me up, got in super early but I think we left early yoo and I think they pad these flights with too much time.

Some observations -

SNA was really quiet at 1110am but maybe that's normal. No one in any security line.

Seatac is also quiet, I'm on departures level and not many getting dropped off but that may be normal for sunday at almost 4.

DLR/DCA I'd say 95% of people were washing their hands longer. Which brings me to a gripe, they don't have anywhere near enough sinks to toilets and paper towels need to dispense longer than 5 inches.

Saw a few masks here and there but not a lot. Saw lots more hand sanitizer getting used all over.

I just heard from a friend back in Iowa that they have 3 confirmed cases and all three people were on the same cruise in Egypt. Iowa has a huge elderly population so this isn’t great to hear since my 93 yo grandma and my grandpa both live 30 minutes away. My aunt works in a mall in the county that has confirmed cases and lives with my grandma

I actually did find some spray in the baby aisle LOL, apparently no one looks there for hand sanitizer. It's Honest brand and smells exactly like a fresh juicy grapefruit!

I buy that type of sanitizer and that is my favorite scent. They are a bit hidden in the baby aisle at Target.

This is correct. It is about where the HQ are and where companies trade. Carnival gets it from both sides because they trade both in the US and UK.
