I know we often only have eyes for Chase around here BUT American Express still has some decent offers circulating out there right now with some expiring in the next month or so:
  • Blue Cash Preferred - $300 Offer - There is an increased offer on the BCP card available via support link giving you a $300 Statement Credit after spending $3,000 within 6 months. This includes a WAIVED 1st year Annual Fee (which is somewhat rare on this card. Apply by 12/10/20 to take advantage of this. This card offers 6% back on groceries too so if you hit the full MSR in the grocery category you could actually get $480 back on $3k in purchases. If you don't see this offer then try in incognito browser or try again later.
  • Blue Cash Everyday - $200 Offer - There is an increased offer on the BCE card available via support link giving you a $200 Statement Credit after spending $1,000 within 6 months. This includes a Intro 0% APR - although carrying a balance isn't advised in this game. No specific "apply by" date is referenced on this one. This card offers 3% back on groceries so it can be a good card to have to put ongoing spend with Amex each month.
  • Amex Gold Card - Increased Bonus - The Amex Gold is also offering an ongoing increased bonus of 60k MRs for $4k spend in 6 months available via support link. YMMV but you could also find a 75k offer via incognito browser. DoC writes a little bit more about the various potential Amex Gold offers here. No specific "apply by" date is referenced on this one but Amex is known to switch up their offers frequently.
  • Amex Green Card - Increased Bonus - The Amex Green is showing an increased offer via support link of 50k or 60k MRs after spending $2,000 in 6 months. DoC writes about this one here. This card also offers a $10 monthly cell phone credit through the end of the year but at this point in the year that's only worth $30 now.
  • Blue Business Card Offers are changing again - It seems they are doing away with the old offer (random statement credits that didn't seem to help anybody) and the Blue Biz Cash is $250 and the Blue Biz Plus is 10,000 MRs.
  • Other Business Cards - Amex is still approving business cards. Chase pulled back for awhile (although they have since relaxed that again) but Amex never stopped approving. Used properly, Amex biz cards are a way to keep your earnings going while resetting your pacing with Chase and/or protecting your 5/24 status. Just keep in mind that the RAT is out there and you need to be a good customer to Amex to keep getting approvals and avoid that nasty popup message!
If anybody knows of any other good Amex bonuses out there please chime in! It's especially hard to keep up with Hilton, Delta, and Marriott as they can change frequently!

One more random comment while I'm at it tonight. These new 75k / $7,500 CIC/CIU offers do not say limited time. They say "NEW OFFER!" which likely means they are the new normal.

If you recall, when the new CIP offer came out, we were still able to find working links for the old offers for a little while, but eventually they disappeared. That will likely happen here as well, so if this increased MSR is not for you, then I'd act fast to try and find the old offer before they disappear. Personally, I like the new offer as it provides a chance to earn additional URs and the higher MSR will help with that all important pacing!

That said, I was able to find a working link for the CIU 50k/$3k offer on nerdwallet and I'd imagine there are other sources out there too.

I am sorry if you all already knew/saw this but I just now saw it over on reddit in the awardtravel sub and so I went to look at mine. I don't know whether it's news or even helpful to anyone but just in case!

This is on my UR "use points with travel partners" area:

It did take me a bit of searching to find an old working link, most either came up with the new offer or were dead. The new offer is too high a spend for us in 3 months with everything going on, I could have tried to MS the offer but didn’t want to take a chance.

I have a question for all of you experts. I have an unexpected last minute trip the week of Thanksgiving. The best flight times are on Delta, and I don't have any Skymiles. I do have MRs which transfer 1:1. I also have a CSR. Which of these options would you go with? 48500 MR, 33146 UR, or $497.20 cash. Or is there another partner I'm not aware of that would provide better value?
I would use UR. 48500 is a horrible price in sky pesos unless it's a transcon in a lie flat. 8 months ago you could get c+ to Europe for around that. Nice part about having the bonus on the CSR. Where you are flying from and to will determine if any other transfer partner might have a better deal.

Last night at midnight I was able to use my Microsoft credits and secure an Xbox Series X completely with those credits...should arrive Thursday. Now just need to get lucky for the PS5 tomorrow night.
Tell me more...BBY and Walmart for PS5? Not sure if DS needs it or not since he is happy with his PS4 but Just in case.

My wife and I are at 5/24 for another 3 months or so. How long do these old offer links usually hang around?

My DH (aka me) applied for a SW business performance card and got the we need more time message. First app for him in 2020. Fingers crossed. Hoping to start working towards a CP for him.
I don't remember them asking for estimated spend on the card before. I did log in under his business profile.

Direct went live slightly after midnight I just kept refreshing and got it in cart. Microsoft balance was already there and ready to go.

The plan for PS5 is Target for store pickup. Last night it went live at 1:25AM and they lasted for about 3-4 minutes. I would expect it to go even quicker. Apparently Best Buy was bricked the entire time. Last chance will be Walmart at noon/3/6/9 on the 12th.

Thanks! This is great info! I have been considering another amex biz card (or even a personal) but I already have the old SPG biz and the Hilton biz. What is the limit for Amex?

I'm not an aspirational traveler (Maldives, sky suites, etc) so I value UR's over MR's so would sacrifice the MR's and hoard the UR's. If I were to want to travel first to exotic destinations I'd be holding onto my MR's.

So for you, if you want to do something exciting with your MR's, maybe hold them? Otherwise, they become Delta Skymiles. Cash is cash and UR's can become cash if not used for travel. So, cash goes into the bank, UR's become cash (and can be banked) and MR's get made into other currency or even Home Depot gift cards.
Thanks for the thoughts. I don't have any concrete plans for the MRs, maybe Japan in 2025? We are a family of 5 so it takes a lot of points. I've only been collecting and not redeeming so far.

Agree, it's a horrible price. This is for main cabin from CA (Bay Area) to Minneapolis. I'm leaning towards using cash for the 3x on my CSR and PYB from groceries. I was hoping there's a partner redemption I've overlooked for 25k.
