I'm sure it will be fine. Once we had to r/s flights d/t weather and went from comfort + to regular economy on DL and I was completely freaked out about it ...and it was just fine. You'll probably be so ready for home and your own bed it won't bother you. And- you can provide a review for us!

No hard pull on the debit. I already have a redcard but I'm getting DH one. Going to use the $50 on a big ticket toy for DD for Christmas. She wants that Juno My Baby Elephant.

We are not fans of Rouge, but I still fly them regularly (that's all they have between FLL and YYZ). We are also stuck on a Rouge plane from Toronto to Lima in December. Small price to pay for seeing a new destination I suppose. Dh thinks they should just get rid of the entire Rouge fleet -- he flat out refuses to fly on a Rouge plane. He's expressed his view to Air Canada many, many times (he has an Account Manager that looks after his flights as well as a concierge).

P.S. iOS 13 is so buggy! It’s made Safari on my iPhone impossible to type on. Can’t wait to update to 13.1.

Well, you lasted longer than DH. He had a blog about his experience using Apple products, but a couple of years ago it went from being positive with some critique for Apple and advice for users to being pretty negative - so negative that he stopped writing it since he felt like he wasn't putting anything positive out into the world. It's been 3 years since we upgraded our phones. We're still all Apple here (laptops, TV, phones, etc.) but I don't think you could call us fans.

I'd love to do a quick takeaway, but DoC's already done a great job outlining the Good and the Bad. Worth reading to see which cards and benefits will be affected.

Amex will start notifying customers on 10/1/19. Changes go into effect 1/1/20.

I did it in store and I think I asked her 3 times are you sure you are doing the Debit and not the Credit card, right? lol I got nervous when it asked my SSN and birthdate and such. But I didn't get a credit karma alert, so I guess it is all good.

Can this be done online, or does it have to be in store? If I have the credit card version, can I still app for this? I need diapers!

If you bought through the CSR portal would it be cheaper than transferring miles? That is how I ended up buying DDs ticket to Australia. It was less points booking through the portal than transferring to United. In her case it was very close because I did miss a great sale by a few days. I looked and saw $900, waited a day to ask her and went back to book and it went back to $1200. boohoo So 80,000 CSR points. I think it would have been also 80,000 united points, but this way she got the miles for traveling.

I really wouldn't stress about it. It's on the way home, and isn't that long of a flight, right? My issue is that I'm on the plane for 12+ hours and at that point I get picky. Plus when the trip is over I just want to get home asap.
