I had to go look this up because I was curious. It's just a hair smaller than what I got but it's like a black hole! At least those bags like that are for me lol. But I am wishing I'd gotten either 2 smalls or a small and medium Dakine bag for ours, because one medium seems to be not quite enough. I'd rather have one for myself and one shared (because let's be honest, the only unshared toiletry item DH brings is his deodorant. Otherwise shared is like toothpaste, qtips, bandaids…) But my very favorite thing is that they open completely up and are two sided vs one big bag.

Yep - as long as the total charge is over the threshold, Amex doesn't seem to care how you got there (tax, shipping charges, its all just one big total).

DW has definitely gotten women's crew socks from Costco - some Adidas, and some Kirkland brand merino wool socks that she loves.

I must have terrible luck. Anytime I think to check online, none available. And same in store, even yesterday, all they had were ankle.

I can only fit shampoo, conditioner and body wash in my bag. My brush, hair ties and deodorant goes in the backpack. I had to pack my razor and toothbrush/toothpaste separate, but I like packing full bottles. I coupon and get them cheap so we will just throw them out after. I never really pack any makeup or lotions so Idk how people find this sufficient. I’ll probably just throw my stuff in a plastic bag again.

No need to buy a mailer for your first Citi Biz card. Just find the public offer that you like best and you’re good to go. Most (all?) Citi AA Biz offers waive the AF in yr 1.

Hyatt is a Chase card so based on your comment, that’s probably not an option for you.

ooooh… yesterday I turned in my time card for the past two weeks. I decided that even with Mon being a holiday and me having Tues off, and I was still physically working 41 hours... I didn't put in any PTO for Tues

No one has said anything yet. Fingers crossed! It means that I will only be paid the OT rate vs double time for my Sunday hours, but I decided that'd I'd rather keep that 8 hours in my PTO bank...

Chase is supposed to announce next quarter's CF bonus categories by the 15th of the preceding month, so 9/15; but it usually "leaks" a few days early, so by 9/13 or 9/14.

Here's what the Q4 bonus categories were in past years.

Q4 2018: Chase Pay, wholesale clubs, department stores
Q4 2017: Walmart, department stores
Q4 2016: Department stores, wholesale clubs
Q4 2015: Amazon.com (and some of its affiliates)
Q4 2014: Amazon.com, Zappos.com, select department stores

Based on that, I'm going to guess... DEPARTMENT STORES will be at least one of the categories.

Also - I need to give a big shout out to those of you on the AA/BA miles vs UR redemption discussion a couple of days ago. I was investigating something similar when I noticed that our LHR connection was dropped to 45 minutes!!! After a brief panic, I remembered another discussion here about altering itineraries fee free when the MCT was unacceptable. I did my homework, armed myself with two options, called AA & it worked! This community is awesome!

What is the latest on AMEX rules? How many AMEX cards can I hold? What is the timing? What is the reporting on the AMEX business cards these days? I currently have the spg and the spg biz being transferred to Marriotts and an old delta. I’ve never had any of the Amex branded cards and want to jump in to get MR in the portfolio. Any good deals out there? Are support links a thing right now? I’ve got a few big purchases coming up.

I agree! I have a Discover and keep flirting with the idea of burning a personal spot and finally getting DH one. Amazon and Target at Christmas time...we haven't even started and I feel my $1500 is already spent.

Thanks for the reminder! I need to book our MCO flights for DS's birthday trip/cruise/Spring Break.

I was able to book a couple of Southwest flights yesterday $69/3968 points from MCO to DCA (Reagan). Flights are Nov 7, but that price/nonstop was available all week. Just a day or two earlier there was nothing decently priced into DCA - most wanna getaways were over $200. It is a fare sale for a couple of days that I got an email about and I had just made plans with a couple of friends to drive to Disney with me and fly back. Flight time was 8:55 to 10:55 which works well for getting picked up or catching the Metro from DCA. I did not see anything good/cheap for BWI. This is the best I've seen since the $35 flights from 2 years ago, where we flew my daughter and 2 babies home for $105 total (in points).

Also guys I really just want to buy socks at Costco for work because it would be easy but they don't ever carry crew socks for women, just no show/ankle socks... which is what I prefer but I have to wear steel toe boots at work so I want crew socks for that! Maybe that won't be for much longer...?

\With 3 sons, here's a little thing I learned--boys' size socks are like women's sizes. My sons did some high adventure trips with boy scouts and acquired some fancy hiking socks, which of course they outgrew long before the socks wore out. They are mine now.
