Has anyone who did a BB&T bank bonus closed their account? @striker1064 I feel like you did. Do you have to call or can I do it online with a message?
Just checked the Disney website and Tuesday to Friday next week for dd and I would be just shy of $1,700.00 (at YC garden view with park hoppers). Looks like most of the resorts have availability.
I won't be able to book anything until I know if dd's school will be open, which will likely be sometime on Monday.
Yep, just transfer everything out so it's $0, and send an SM to close. They had it done by the next day and I couldn't even log in anymore (which was slightly weird, haha). One of the easiest to deal with.
Do any of you have a pool and know how to drain some water out of it? Ours is pretty close to the top and I want to drain some before the storms this weekend
That was FL resident pricing. It was $334.00 / night + tax at YC, but I chose the wood view, which was a bit higher than the base rate. I didn't realize I could get 8% back on RMN. Thanks for the suggestion! If you aren't AP for AP rates, then check Priceline for those dates. Those are similar dates to mine (tues-sat) and the PL pricing was about the same as AP rates, just a couple buck higher. However, if you go thru RMN you can get another 8% off, thus beating the AP rate in most cases. I believe YC was hanging at $302 for my dates on PL and it was $296 on AP rate.
You may be able to 'backwash' the water out of the pool. Our pool has an auto valve that drains water when it gets to a certain level. Check with a pool company before you do this though -- I asked our pool guy before Irma and he recommended not draining water, though I can't recall the reason.Do any of you have a pool and know how to drain some water out of it? 1. SNA,Just wondering when ones who are coming from the East coast to Anaheim, what airport do you fly into? This is for DL of course.

Okay thanks I’ll call our pool company. They’re a cleaning company but I’m sure they would knowYou may be able to 'backwash' the water out of the pool. Okay thanks. I read online that it said you may want to drain 1-2 feet before a storm so that’s why I was asking. Our water is about 4-6 inches from the top of the pool which seems high to me and likely to overflowyour pool pump should have a backwash function that reverses the water out of the pool and down the drain.
Look for a switch on the pool pump(there should be 4 directions on it). turn it to that selection, turn the pool pump on. Watch the pool water drain to your desire but dont go too far below your skimmer.
edit:
good point about the draining part... Would suggest only doing so then when it actually goes OVER rather than dumping the pool water now.
Okay I’m getting nervous now for Dorian. They’re saying it could be a hurricane when it hits Florida and it looks like right now it’s coming straight for us. Since we have cats I don’t think we could just pick up and leave at the last second. We would need somewhere to stay that would allow cats

Omg that’s adorable lol. That actually was something it said to do: playing crying baby sounds. It also said to set up the nursery as early as possible so the cats can get their scent on things. Then put tin foil or double sided tape on the crib so they won’t try getting in
I haven't personally done it yet, but based on what others have reported your referral points should post on the PC'ed card. Cancelling it would be risky. I think you're safe to PC CIP1 to either CIU or CIC prior to 9/1 to get the fee back. THEN lower it's CL (I believe you need $5,000 to PC) and then apply for your own CIP2 when you see the CLs lowered in your Chase account online.
I am going to refer for a CSP and PC it before the referral URs posts so I get the AF back.
Luckily we don’t have to worry about the chemicals or cleaning the filter because we pay for a weekly pool person. We just didn’t want to fool with that right after we moved. We may eventually try it ourselves thoughwhat if for some miracle reason, its blue skies tomorrow, then u gotta fill it back up 1-2 feet...![]()
i did this at one point when it rained like crazy, i backwashed it. As long as it doesnt hit the very top you should be fine. I accidently let the water run too long but the water just evaporated within a week back down to its normal levels... just one day during the storm, run out, start the pump, run back in and watch it drain until u feel its good enough.
pool balancing is an art, its quite fun to balance and throw chemicals in... the filter cleaning though... that one sucks to do. takes me a good 2 hours to disassemble, clean and insert back in.
