As far as I know most of California doesn't start until the 2nd half of August at the earliest, with some school districts starting much later. Also I'm pretty sure that NY and that area goes back to school after Labor Day. It sure does mess with the trips though.

The NE definitely doesn't go back until after LD. But I thought most of the rest of the US was earlier. CA schools should just be going to DLR lol!

I think Most of Pittsburgh goes back one of the last 2 weeks of August. More importantly...the first South Fayette Football game is 8/23 - 3 weeks from tonight! Can't wait!!!

Maybe it is the Charlotte kids giving us trouble! If you look at historical data, this time in Aug isn't typically a crowd level 7. That's very high. Even if kids aren't quite back in yet, they are geared up for going. July was supposedly a ghost town at WDW so this seems odd. I just wonder if a lot of people decided to sneak trips in before SWGE opens, knowing they may wait awhile to go back...?

I do think it's odd but I also think it's odd that Mk is like a 6 one of my days while the others are 3 or 4 Part of why I don't give much to it. I know there's 1100 dis'ers coming but I don't know that everyone is going to the parks and people start getting there this weekend I think through like friday but that's not doing much anyway. If the switch over in CP programs affected things, I did read how lines were bad today and they were only run space at half at opening today or some morning this week, then I can see why they'd up it. It might not be more people per se just longer lines.

Rogue One was my favorite movie of the new ones by far. Hands down no question. I like the OG ones other than that.

Just throwing out another option. What about using Hyatt points or URs to stay at the Hyatt at MCO? It’s only 12K Hyatt points so not a bad redemption.

We have stayed there before when we have had an early morning flight. I threw it out as an option and DH said “the beds were uncomfortable.” I haven’t allowed him to become a plane princess but he is a bed princess no question.

@wendow maybe I will try to find a couple value rooms. I just wish they would sleep 5. I will keep checking. I know I should use one of my free nights for that but once I finally get to Disney I want to be in the bubble!

Our MK days are all 6-7 now vs the 4-5's they were I'll be ready to complain on Wed lol!

I wish there was a value option for 5, other than fam suites. I'm like you. Once I am there, I just want to rest knowing 'We're there' and tucked away nicely. I don't think school starts for that much of the country next week. West coast doesn't go back til around labor day. Up here it's generally after, especially this year with it being so early in the month. I think CA is around the same time as is OR. I also don't think all of the south goes back quite this early. But I did notice that the numbers changed but I'm not going to worry about it. It's all fiction as far as I'm concerned, they don't fully know what they're doing with it any more. Well I enjoyed that part lol the last Jedi was probably my least favorite out of the new films. I really liked Solo and Rouge one but the Force Awakens was great it was like the first one but updated with a better graphics/budget/acting so how can it not be better???



They are fine but I really cringe with like how bad the acting is in some of them. I think mark hamill is awful. Rey is a much better Jedi

I personally just love little anakin. He’s so darn cute lol. And I know I’m in the minority but jar jar is hilarious. I don’t mind Rey but Kylo ren is the biggest baby ever

This is when I was thinking most of the south was back in by. And are parents really taking vacations until a couple days before school starts?? Maybe, I guess...as a homeschooler, I am out-of-touch. I just feel like if my kids were back in school on Aug 12, I'd be done with vacations the weeks before. What is weird is that we are at WDW Aug 5-15. Our days at the beginning and at the end have all increased.

We went to wdw multiple times in July and never thought it was less busy like people were saying. Wdw has found a way to make the lines long no matter the crowd level anyway

The fall CP kids don't check in until a week or more from now so that could play a part. We're scheduled to meet several (like 10+ lol) of my dd's CP friends and they aren't arriving for another week or two. All our MK days went up but not sure any other parks did. Oh well, all we can do is go and make the best. We normally go LD weekend and the week after. We're used to crowd levels of 1's and 2's. I've had a lot of trouble accepting this is when we have to go but with SWGE opening this year when it is, our park days would have been much higher anyways.

I’m so jealous your DH will help. My SO is fine with me having the cards in his name, but will not load or buy a money order.

I'm pretty lucky with him. He tolerates my craziness and I let him do his cryptocurrency stuff.

My dh is pretty tolerant of all this cc stuff. I've never asked him to do anything more than call, which he doesn't like but he will do. I think much of that is that his days are so busy, and he has no free time, so calling these companies and being on for 30 mins is a huge deal. I'd never ask him to go to a store or anything else. It's just not gonna happen while he's this busy with his job - and new job is a billion times busier
