There may be another Hyatt without availability for our nights. I just plugged in the dates without looking.
Thanks for the info about uptown. We might go do something on Sunday. No kids with us and no interest in nascar lol
The restaurant is near the South Park Mall (??). Our friends live way north of that in Mooresville. We need to stay near the airport on Sunday night, at least, because our flight leaves CLT at 5:40am![]()
I saw this and thought it related to some of our germaphobe and food delivery conversations

I haven’t seen near the amount of chatter on the budget forum about ordering bottled water for resort delivery. We’ve always ordered a couple of cases but it’s frequently changed as to the best, current method. Anyone know what that is right now? Do they still sell gallons of water in the markets?
I added a new fast pass site to the strategies section on dischurners. It should help with planning your fast pass day at 30/60/90 days out. It's not really meant for day of. I watched it for a few days and @DisneyMandC was able to use it for her fp day.
While I found the site somewhere on the dis, I think, I can't actually rememberIt's not something I've seen talked about much which is why it's on dischurners. It seems to be a fairly robust site from their menu's but I haven't taken the time to look at the rest to see if it's useful.
As for the other tips in the fp section, I haven't seen anything about them changing and I have notes for my trip next week. I'll be able to utilize them at least once, though it'll be my last day but that's better than nothing. So I'll report more on that part on dischurners once I've tried it. I have one I desperately want to modify my last day![]()
I don't think the study version has the 5% rotating categories. I believe it is 2% on gas and restaurants and 1% everything else. They also give a $20 bonus for good grades (once a year and you have to request it.)The Discover IT has a student version and I recommend starting with that, especially if your dc has no credit history. My dd19 got that card about a week after turning 18yo and it's a fantastic starter card. Chase also has a student Freedom card but the Discover is a better card, with 5% rotating categories and a cash back match for the first year.
I always buy water when we stay at Disney . Great idea to use one of these instead.Just curious, why are you buying water instead of buying a filtration system to take with you? I have a few different types to choose from depending on where we go.

Oh man, I was just hearing a story the other day at work.... someone in our department on 2nd shift put in an order with one of the delivery companies for her and another person. At night they have to go through the guard station... people do this all the time during the day, it either ends up at the guard station or the receptionist desk and they call whoever's to come get it. This time around, THE GUARD ATE MOST OF THE ORDER! What is wrong with people? He said he thought it was for himI saw this and thought it related to some of our germaphobe and food delivery conversations

Both my college-age children easily got approved for the Discover It student card. Very small limit which has slowly increased each year.

Agree with the Discover It card. I also had my kids get Visa cards from their school credit union. Just another early line on their own credit reports. Adding him as an AU is also a good idea. When he is approved for his own card, it will most likely be a low limit. Having an AU card with a higher limit might give him flexibility for paying for more expensive items (ie. text books, flights home etc.).
Good luck with getting him off to school. It’s an exciting and stressful time!
Something is up. I ordered four items yesterday from Uber eats and I got two of them. Uber refunded me for the whole order. But this happens all the time
So I can see I PIF on MSR on 7/12- payment due 24th, so closed by 27th (unless I forgot and counting wrong) page still shows due date of 7/24, and promised points for next statement...this seems kind of crazy slooooooow...unless that's how the biz cards work normally?Do you see them on your statement? Two weeks does seem like it should have been plenty of time. That stinks if you have to wait another month.

can I still buy grocery store gc that way? I had thought it was all 100% gone! I would love to knock out some spend this way since that's where most of my money goes anyway...No, you are fine to buy groceries and pay off bills. Just stay away from any gc sites, gc at Staples, and if you buy a gc at the grocery store, add something to the purchase.
Operation Liquidate my AA miles is underway...I booked my sister & brother-in-law's flight to Universal in first class! She was going to pay $526.60 for 2 tickets in main cabin. I made a deal with her to use 50k of our miles and she'd pay me $450 (0.9cpp which is what I was hoping for in value out of Disney). Then my dad said he'll probably pay for their flights anyways so he'll probably just pay me the $450. Everybody wins and if Disney doesn't make a triumphant return to AAvacations with the right resorts, at least I extracted decent value on a portion of my tickets!
I'm impressed you got a refund from Uber. Anytime I have an issue and contact them, they tell me "Too bad, we're not doing anything for you since you have so many credits and adjustments on your account." I assume this is in reference to the Amex Plat credits, but the implication is I'm always getting adjustments due to complaining - which is of course not true.
I continue to be impressed by just how awful Uber and their customer service are, but I use it and UberEats because of the Plat credits, so I'm part of the problem. We don't use it once the credits are gone for the month, though. Don't even price compare to Lyft.
