For anyone worried about the Cap One hack, the women lived in Seattle and it seems so far that she didn't do anything with the information she got, she just wanted to get it. They found out cause she was bragging on some geek IT site. So at least for now, until the FBI finds out for sure, if your info got stolen it shouldn't be an issue. And one of her roomates was a felon illegally owning lots of guns, so the FBI went in wearing full gear. It wasn't fully clear from the news story but it seems like all the roommates were arrested or at least had to put hands up while they got the one lady. So much crazy.

There are 6 Hyatt Places and Hyatt Houses in/around Charlotte, with 2 uptown and 4 clustered near the airport. And they're 5000-8000 points, which is awesome! I don't want to pay $28 valet-only parking for the non-airport options. Is there decent parking uptown?

Not the one I was thinking of then since it's places and houses. Where is the party you are going to? That will direct me more to how I answer, because aside from eating and nightlife there's not really anything to do in uptown unless you are at work. I think the children's museum and the nascar hall of fame are the only things and obviously both have their target demo. Also not sure about overnight parking in uptown outside of the hotels, never paid to park for more than a few hours if I paid, validation and stuff.

(I think I'm more frustrated with the lack of warning on this...what If I was buying these tickets as a gift for a friend!! I never would've thought of this being an issue)

@PolyRob I also have 9 open Chase cards. Other than the CSR they are either no AF (Freedom/FU) or original Hyatt, IHG where with the lower fee you get the free night every year. And Disney naturally...

Status was instant denial and notification in writing 7-10 days. Here is the letter I got.

That’s the letter DH got and he called because he doesn’t have a card currently. They told him it’s the card he closed over a year ago and it’s delinquent. Umm zero balance and he requested closure. Crazy!

Had my first experience today of the wal mart cashier having no clue about Serve lol. She didn’t know what it was and told me I could try customer service. I just left instead lol

I’ve been lucky at DG, no problems and same cashier each time.

It’s been like 2 years and I still can’t quite remember that ensure enlive is now basically ensure plus, not ensure clear like it used to be. They couldn’t have come up with a totally different name instead of reusing enlive?

Off topic but boy it's been a tough day. My ex and I just sat through the findings of our son's pyschoeducational evaluation and we both think he really needs to attend a private high school which costs $31,000/year. Then the plumber came and to replace my garbage disposal and fix a leaking tub faucet he quoted $1,000. I give up!

We use nestle products, but have peptamen af. A new grad icu nurse told my boss she laughed every time she hung a bag. Turns out my boss, who had teenage children, had no idea why af was funny. We had to explain over lunch in the office.

On a churning note, DD got her first Amex of her own today, the Delta Blue. It's only 10k miles for $500 purchase but they never expire and she has almost 9000 miles already. And even better, it's another 15000 for me! My Delta stash is in a very happy state these days.

I'm 20 pages behind because I spent yesterday on the beach (under an umbrella - no burns) and today at Assateague and Chincoteague.

More Assateague ponies:
The first is my favorite. The second is them swarming me when I was trying to go to the water from the parking lot. They were hoping I had treats (I didn't) but so many people feed them (you can get ticketed) they look for it. The third is in the Bayside Campground, the National Park, and again they are hanging with the campers hoping for stray food and treats. Feeding them encourages them to get closer to humans. They are wild and will kick and bite. They look docile but I've seen their more aggressive behavior. Also in the winter they have to fend for natural food. No apples then.

Hi are you trying to earn points for a trip to Japan? Can you explain to me what you decided was the best method for this? I am tryng to earn ANA miles for flights to Japan and need a big sign up! thanks!

If you are set on flying ANA then your best bet is to book for the least amount of miles is to earn Amex MR to transfer to Virgin Atlantic. You will need to search for partner availability on United since VS will not show ANA availability. If you find it, you will need to call VS to book. You can also transfer Amex MR directly to ANA but first class will cost 150k-165k RT per person, business is 75k-90k pp. VS with a partner award is significantly less.

Personally I prefer booking one ways so JAL using AA miles is my go to. However I did take advantage of an amex MR transfer bonus to VS and booked a partner award flight in first on ANA for this fall.

Again, if you are set on ANA then I’d recommend seeing if you can pull up an Amex Plat 100k offer on cardmatch dot com while in incognito mode. If you do pull up what we affectionately call “the Platicorn” do not close your browser or think about it. Apply immediately or you Amy never see it again.

Disney will always be my first Chase card. Funny to think I opened it for room discounts, the 10% off merchandise, and to take the special PhotoPass photos in WDW. I never actually used a Disney Visa room discount and ended up with an AP so it is clearly the Chase card with my lowest return

When we went a few months ago, picking up the tickets was the worst part of our day because the kiosk did not work at all. The tickets were booked in my name & it would not accept my own CC. You know, the one tied to the account that I used the URs to book from.

So, we had to go stand in an unshaded line for 10 minutes & finally produce an ID. The woman was not very nice. Tell your sister to avoid a very short woman named Rhonda or Rhoda, something like that. I feel like she would not give an inch.

Wow - the woman at the desk at RPR was very nice. I might or might not have had to present an ID (I can't recall) but it was a very quick process and I am quite certain that no one else had to show an ID because they were all off in line to store our bags so we could go to the park while we waited for our rooms.

There may be another Hyatt without availability for our nights. I just plugged in the dates without looking.

The restaurant is near the South Park Mall (??). Our friends live way north of that in Mooresville. We need to stay near the airport on Sunday night, at least, because our flight leaves CLT at 5:40am
