I thought much the same thing but signed up for a card online "just in case." When the last round of Safeway MCGC and VGCs hit, I gave it a tentative shot. My only regret is all of the gift card deals I've missed. It's super easy and painless.

(That said, I have a number of Family Dollar and Dollar General options in my area and as part of my normal commute. If you don't have one nearby that changes it a bit)

Basically buy a Gift card go to dollar general and say you want to load your card for the amount on the gift card. Swipe the serve then swipe the giftcard and enter your pin and it’s loaded. You can go home and then transfer the money to your bank. It doesn’t take much time if the lines aren’t long.

Lol. But I do have two new Dollar Generals within 10 minutes of my house in both directions. As I said earlier, I live kind of away from anything so this is big news here to have 2 stores so close.

Has anyone done PayPal through FB? I saw a post on Reddit last week and was going to save it, but then went on vacation and forgot about it and now I can’t find it. Something about tricking the CIP to code as 3% with Paypal because it thinks it was advertising or something since it went through Facebook.

I got my serve card in advance (online at Serve.com--you want the green on with no fee for reloading) and when the card arrived, linked it to my checking account.

Once you have money on the serve card, use the serve app or the website to transfer all of the money to the checking account. As long as you have a zero balance on the statement date (of your serve card) there is no monthly fee.

And Disneyland caves... Summer special for AP holders announced to anyone interested. AP holders can get a guest a one day park hopper for $99 through Aug 30. APs that are blocked can get in by paying $99/day and can then access the $99 deal for guests as well.

Disneyland SoCal/Deluxe AP blockouts working too well for Disney. Further proof Disney is not interested in improving the guest experience by reducing crowds. They want just the right amount of crowds for them to make money and not having too many guests complaining or standing in line and not dining or shopping. Those guests who were enjoying (or looking forward to) 5, 10, 15, 25 minute waits can shove it, or be shoved because the summer crowds are coming back!

For everyone trying to order magic bands.
...I ordered 2 of the upgraded bands....box came today and only mine was the band ordered...DHs was gray ...Checked my cc and was just charged for one

Called the number on the invoice to see what happened ...the CSR let me pick from any of the $24.99 bands on the regular Disney shopping site and just charged $10. She said that the site is so overwhelmed with orders right now it has a lot of glitches

I am not your lawyer but it is not illegal. lol Idk what the Dollar General or Walmart Policy is on loading serve but I have never even had anyone question me when using a gift card to load serve. It’s just a debit card and even says it on the card. I only usually get asked for the card with money orders.

Don't show it to the cashier and ask if it's ok to use. I never show the card to the cashier, and I hold a real bank debit card in my hand to use (like really use, not as a fake out) as back up in case things don't work right.

The WMs I've gone to have the card terminal facing the customer (and away from the cashier) so it's easy for them to pay no mind to what I'm doing. I act like it's no big deal too.

ETA: I figure if it's against the rules then it's up to them to code their registers appropriately.

Do you not have any recycling pickup on your neighborhood? When my son moved and had tons and tons, he called and they said they would pick up all the extras for free, since he had just moved.

Yeah, I don’t have one nearby, unfortunately. The closest one is 30 minutes away in an area I never go. We have Dollar Trees but that’s it.

I won’t do the money order thing. Someone on our local FB page talked about all the drug dealers that go to Walmart and get MOs every day. My luck I would get caught up in a drug bust from having my name or survelience of me getting them. Nope, not doing that. Have no idea why the drug dealers get them though.

We stopped renewing our Signature APs because of how much the AP keeps going up via-à-vis how crowded Disneyland has gotten.

Loads are free with a green serve card. There are other kinds that have a fee but the green card it’s free.

You can load serve at WM too. I get it though my WM is super sketchy like when the guy said he was going to shoot me?? It’s fine though lol
