All right, my friendly enablers. Apparently I have no willpower. Anyone have any experience with the ebags anti-theft small crossbody bag? I need a travel purse (ok, maybe need is a strong word, but whatever) and if I get this along with the junior motherlode I'm over $100 and it will trigger the amex offer and ebates, so really, it would more than pay for itself (just demonstrating my rationalization skills). Anyway - anyone have any feedback on this one?

I'm used to shopping Costco which makes Sam's seem completely tame. If you felt you could get overwhelmed in Sam's, don't ever step foot in a Costco. That place is a an all out zoo!

Sam's and Costco are tame compared to navigating Ikea.

I have a very quiet Costco. It's busy on weekends but not nearly as busy as others in the area. We even have a half dozen self checkouts which I haven't seen at the other local options.

Makes me worry that it will disappear.

I really wish our Costco had self check outs or a lane for under so many items...sometimes I just want to run in and grab a rotisserie chicken for dinner and the lines are crazy

The ebates and the Amex offer have me feeling like I need to buy something at Ebags. To Mother Lode or not to Mother Lode? And if so, to Junior or regular? Or should I get a rolling carryon to replace my cheapy Target bag, that I still love, just worry about its longevity. Too many decisions. How long is the ebates offer? I am not sure I have time to stare at suitcases all day today.

I love ebags! My DH has a motherload. He really likes it. It is very large. We can pack for both of us for a weekend in it. I wanted to get Jr's for my kids for international trips but I am afraid they might be too big for them still.

I found an interesting electronics organizer on Amazon I think I might get. Adding on to my efforts to simplify my packing by having some duplicate stuff ready to go, and the fact that I forgot my darn phone cord last week and had to buy one for $20... What I am really liking/intrigued by is the fact that you don't actually have to remove the cords to charge things if you don't want to. How nice to just unfold it and be able to line up phone/camera/external battery and just plug them into the wall or into an adapter (I've got a 6 usb port adapter for traveling... somewhere). Thought I'd throw it up here in case it interested anyone else.

I'll be interested in your review I've been looking at the ebags Cord Cube (the small onehttps://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/cord-cube-small/350942?productid=10599453) ahead of our international trips in November and December.

I bought the cord cube for our last Disneyworld trip. We got the large. I like keeping my luggage organized and compartmentalized. I was happy with it.

grAAvy train friends...How many citi pers cards can you get in 65 days? My dh got his first one 3/18/19. I thought he could get another after 8 days (according to the reddit guide) so app'ed again on 4/13 - auto denied. App'ed again yesterday - auto denied. What am I doing wrong?? He is almost at 65 days (5/23). Is it just one personal card in 65 days?

Isn’t it one application in 65 days? If you apply before that, you’ll get denied, then you’ll have to wait another 65 days? (Same with the biz’s 90-95 days?)

Well I was just on the phone with Chase and redirected to 5 different people. I called because I was trying to confirm one of our hotel reservations for Japan and I'm not seeing it on our account. Thank god I saved the email! They kept redirecting me to someone new who was supposed to help me and finally the last person said she could see the reservation and confirmed it. She also told me the hotel won't see our reservation until a couple days out. That doesn't seem legit and I'm worried our reservation might not even exist with the actual hotel. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Sam's and Costco are tame compared to navigating Ikea.

Our Ikea was crazy when it first opened but it's pretty quiet now unless you go on the weekend. Our Sam's is nice and quiet too. I actually love shopping there even though I prefer Costco's food.

Not according to the grAAvy train guide from reddit. You should be able to get 2/60 (65 to be safe) and can go for the 2nd 8 days after the first.

Yes, it appears he's gotten hit by 1/60 which happens randomly. You might be resetting with the continued apps. I would try calling after it's been 60 days from the last approved one (3/18 if I'm understanding correctly) and trying to recon latest application then. You can point out the previous applications didn't result in anything being processed.

My dh isn't going to want to call and now I really have no idea when he can apply again

I totally forgot to mention that while we were in Florida I saw tons of Wawa gas stations for the first time ever. The town we’re moving to is almost all 7-11 and wawa. We never did get inside one though

You reminded me for all of the Pennsylvanians, are they adding wine and beer sales to all of the convenience stores? I was in total shock when I rode by Royal Farms in Hanover, PA yesterday and saw the sign for beer and wine. It's so nice that Weis now carries it so I can get 4x or 5x on the adult beverage purchases. (yeah, I know some of you like AZ have it much easier with everything being sold in the grocery store and Targets.)

This is me too. One of the cashiers calls me the chicken lady. When one of my dogs was old, I was trying to keep weight on her so I bought a rotisserie chicken from Costco a few times a week. That dog is no longer with us but in the process, the younger dog decided rotisserie chicken was life-sustaining for her too. So I go one or two times a week and often I'm only buying a chicken and the lines are 5+ deep. I have such a love hate relationship with Costco. I swear the customers are unbelievably oblivious. The pharmacy hours stink. And on Sunday the cart guy ran an entire column of carts into my van But I still strongly prefer it to our rarely busy Sam's. If we could get self checkout, I would be so happy.

I am 99% sure all of Citi's rules go by application date, so your best bet to be safe is simply wait 60-65 days after the last denial before applying again. That's what AK meant by "You might be resetting with the continued apps." He was denied because he's stuck in 1/60, but every new application reset the timer despite the denials.

In NYS....even if your number isn’t called to report it counts and you can’t get called for another I think it’s 7 years...not sure how other states work

So, I just redeemed some AA miles and used my latest card's $250 travel credit for actual flight and car through the AAvacations site. I didn't want to do it because I need all that for WDW but it's a situation where better to do it than pay cash and actually better flight options on AA portal.

Long story short - my MIL went for a shot in her back about 6 weeks ago. To help with back pain. Doctor nicked a nerve and she immediately lost all feeling below the waist. Had to have emergency surgery to relieve a hematoma in her spine. Hasn't been able to move her legs or any feeling below waist since. Was in ICU for 3 weeks, then moved to a rehab facility and in a few days is moving to a different one. They are going to have to sell their 4000sqft 2-story and get a small ranch. My dh needs to go back to help his dad in about 10 days.

Was super thankful to have the miles and travel credit. SOOOO much cheaper than cash for flight and car!
