For those of you who've been around for awhile, you may remember my dd18 has a chronic illness. She is sick again and it's a bad flare. I've spent the day on the phone with doctors trying to get meds called in and then running around to get meds (spending a small fortune...). Appreciate any prayers or thoughts for us both. She's in pain and I'm worn out.

I hope your daughter improves quickly and that this illness stays away in future.

Yes - that’s why the focus on multiple CIPs is so huge. It’s a 105k UR proposition for most people. If possible, I’d say better to do a refer between players vs self-refer but not everybody will have that option.

So sorry, that has to be so tough for her. I imagine it is also close to finals time for her too, as if that is not stressful enough by itself. Will this ever go away for her?

Also, on the resort view at Swan. Our room was called a resort view. I think that means the Swan/Dolphin resort. That is all I could figure. We could literally only see a big tree. Lol. Our room was where the red arrow is on the map.

USB Radisson Rewards Visa elevated 120k sign up bonus after $3k spend. $75 AF + 40k bonus points annually

I've been eyeballing the Radisson cards for some time due to the annual 40k bonus. The biz card is the best version because it typically has the same SUB as the premier personal but with a lower AF. I jumped on this offer but was insta-denied. Not hugely surprising given how sensitive USB is, I guess.

Since you posted it so nicely, I may try it. I have the personal card and it's been sock drawered for years, so that may be a bad thing. Maybe I should put some spend on the personal first?

Edit: Did you apply for personal or business? I was thinking business but see only the regular offers for business. Business has a $60 AF.

I’m trying not to get too excited until the owners sign the contract. Then I’ll be !!! They’re including all appliances (which look brand new), dining room table set, dining room hutch (just learned what this is lol), kitchen table set, all window fixtures, kitchen bar stools, large tool shelving unit in garage, ceiling shelves in garage, and pool equipment (yes a pool!). But you know.....not getting excited yet

Our resort views were usually 6th floor or higher at Swan and we would be above your tree (but maybe it has grown much taller!) and our view would be of the BWV side, Atlantic Dance, Jelly Rolls and the bridge area.

Under that tree area was a garden where they had special functions and at Easter had the egg hunt for the kids. I loved that when my kids were younger - they were extremely generous to the kids and it was a free event. They got everything from prizes, candy and free items in the quick serve such as cookies and ice cream for later in the week.

@wendow praying your daughter was able to get some rest over night and gets to feeling better quickly. I have family members with chronic illnesses. I don’t think there’s anything worse than seeing someone you dearly love in pain.

They still have to move. They’re building a new house that’s expected to be done at the end of May. Our closing date isn’t until June 18 anyway since we'll be in Japan. The house we’re signing wasn’t even listed for sale but the lady that lives there showed us new construction homes and hinted that she knew a house going for sale soon and it was her house!

So here's something interesting. I signed up for the Choice Hotels complete two separate stays and receive enough points for a free one night stay before a stay in March. It said the promotion was ending on April 26, and of course my second stay was scheduled for April 27! I just figured such was life, and it was no big deal. Well, I logged in this morning and was surprised to find 8000 points in my account, where I previously had 790! Apparently that second stay counted for some reason! I'm not going to argue with it... Choice Hotels are crappy but we stay at them frequently for horse shows, so it'll help me out for sure!

I applied for the personal, that's the only one with the elevated offer. I mentioned the biz version because typically biz and personal are the same offer (85k, annual 40k bonus), but the biz has a lower AF (and as such it's a better ongoing deal if you plan to keep it open).

I think it’s better to go to Universal Studios Hollywood first. Once you go to Orlando and see Diagon Alley Hollywood Studios is underwhelming. Did you check out Waterworld? That’s one of the coolest shows we’ve ever seen.

Thanks for the tip. Orlando is definitely on the agenda. And no... we didn’t check out Waterworld. Again, it’s not an IP we’re particularly interested in, and I adore Kevin Costner. As we were leaving, we were walking next to a family and overheard the wife say to her husband, “oh, there’s Waterworld here,” and her kid asked, “what’s Waterworld?” Lol. I’m old enough to remember it as the most expensive movie ever made at the time that turned out to be a gigantic flop. I was surprised they made an attraction of it after that.
