Popping out of mortgage-pre-approval-purgatory to say that DH's Amex plat bonus posted really fast! He hit MSR last week when my car battery unexpectedly died, thankfully right when he went to get the oil changed. Just a CIP bonus for him and we will be on our way to Japan, first class

Speaking of which, what's everyone's thoughts on earn-and-burn vs. saving up for a big redemption? I've got about 30k UR right now without a redemption home. I was thinking of using them for a cheap hotel in Vegas (or Chicago, or maybe New York?) over July 4th weekend this year. Or maybe I should save them for Tokyo 2021? Decisions...

My Citi AA Biz arrived yesterday and I got it activated and account setup. Woohoo!

Also realized I needed one more debit transaction on my Wells Fargo account to post yesterday in order to qualify for the bonus and thankfully my purchase with PIN posted yesterday (going to enjoy my Kinder Joy with Avengers toy inside while waiting for my bonus). My Amazon reload is still pending, but that will count towards the next 30 days transactions. Just so glad I didn't botch this bonus (yet). And my SunTrust bonus posted last week so that's one less thing to worry about!

Now off to buy an AA gift card to sell!

I've been eyeballing the Radisson cards for some time due to the annual 40k bonus. The biz card is the best version because it typically has the same SUB as the premier personal but with a lower AF. I jumped on this offer but was insta-denied. Not hugely surprising given how sensitive USB is, I guess.

@SouthFayetteFan I think I'm so tempted by the AA personal cards because I need twice as many points as you. Just a mod room for 5 nights is 150K (in Aug, when rates are cheaper!). So, if we open 4 biz cards each, every year, we can stay mod. I want *MORE*

I do hear you though. There is tremendous value in staying under 5/24.

ETA: Cheapest mods are 150k. POR and FQ are both 230k’ish.

It’s your call if you want to stay over/ go under but just from Citi alone I can get 700,000+ miles from the personal cards. Idk what ur Amex MR situation is like but if you hit them up too you could cash out with the Schwab Plat.

I used them for a checking account bonus last year, and I currently have a USB Cash 365 (opened October 2018 from the pre-approved page).

I had hopes that a co-branded hotel card would be easier to get than one of their regular products, but alas.

They’re including all appliances (which look brand new), dining room table set, dining room hutch (just learned what this is lol), kitchen table set, all window fixtures, kitchen bar stools, large tool shelving unit in garage, ceiling shelves in garage, and pool equipment (yes a pool!). I got a promo code to purchase $250 in Delta gift cards and get a $25 Nordstrom's gift card free. I will be booking flights for work in the next week so thought this might be a good deal. Why not get myself a little something from Nordstrom's? Question is, when I purchase the gift card from the Delta website, which credit card should I use? Would I get extra points by using a Delta card? It says the site is operated by CashStar, so I'm not sure the Delta credit card would give bonus points. Any other card or is it best to use my Chase Freedom Unlimited?
