Just saw the sign and escalators up to it yesterday. Sign still says opening 2019. But nothing else.I wish I could get more info on the Denver Centurion lounge...

Is today the last day for signing up without the fee for bonvoy or was it yesterday?
Me too!I hope it's coming along better than the JFK Centurion Lounge.
That's all I've seen so farJust saw the sign and escalators up to it yesterday. Sign still says opening 2019. But nothing else.
Another possible use for Hilton points... There is a Hilton Garden Inn opening up across the street from the Marriott my grandpa stayed in last time![]()
We are strongly considering this one but may go with something we can book through the Chase (CSR) portal instead. We had a few nights at the Hyatt Regency Aruba last March. It is beautiful!!! If you go... you might want to look into renting the palapas ahead of time. You can do this online.
He can come over and watch it at our house.
Down side of that show? Family birthday cake requests are getting more complicated - I mean, if these crazy brits can turn out these gorgeous desserts, Mom should be able to do it too, right?
Yep. I paid $40 to a reddiiter who was offering all 3 varieties of the business mailer codes. The seller was quick to reply and really easy to work with.
He started by asking if it was my first time using a mailer code (it wasn't). Then he politely suggested that the 65K/4K offer was probably better than the 75K/5K I had requested as it should be easy to match the additional 10K. I've got quarterly tax payments looming, and my recent CIP application was denied, so I stuck with the 75K/5K offer. (I was also influenced by recent comments here about the hassle of getting Citi to match.)
He then checked his code to make sure it was still working before sending me the code, name associated, and link to apply. My wife was instantly approved. Somewhere in our conversation I had mentioned that I will need another code in early May. He ended our conversation by offering me a future code for $20. It was a really easy transaction with a helpful seller. I would not hesitate to recommend him. Maybe I can get a referral bonus?
Nope he didn’t have a coding test. He’s actually never had to do that for an interview before. He said their questions were basically just over his resume and he was disappointed because he studied so hard about the technical stuffSorry he didn’t get the job. Did he have a coding test? SO frequently had those when he was looking for a job and he got so many rejections because of them. A big 4 software engineering company in Mountain View CA has been emailing him and calling him for the past month. He thinks he will fail the coding challenge. I think he may reach out tho. He interviewed with them when he was a new grad but after the coding challenge they called him to say the positions have been filled for his class. I think that was a nice way of saying you failed the coding challenge lol.
Yep he’s still interested in the other job. It’s the same company and location but might be slightly different. Dh keeps throwing in Dallas, Alabama, and Colorado into the mix now. It’s hard for me to switch my mindset from Orlando thoughI'm so sorry! Is he interested in the other job? If so, I will thinking happy thoughts for all of you!
I think if Dh got a promotion he still wouldn’t want to be at his current job. Hopefully something else comes up. It’s a bummer to have spent the time looking at houses but oh well.So sorry! This happened to DH a few years ago. He was very excited about a possible new job, went to interview, I believe there was only 2 that made it to the interview. I was looking for houses, kids had said OK to moving, I would not have done it otherwise, but then he ended up not getting it. He was pretty disappointed, but it ended up being a blessing. He got a better promotion at his old work soon after. He still interfaces with the other people frequently and every time he says I am so glad they did not hire me. Hopefully something better will come around for him!
Anyone ever done a points trip to go to Jamaica? I can't believe I'm even asking this question...
My nephew and his fiance, god love them, just sent us their save the date for their destination wedding in Jamaica for VALENTINE'S DAY 2020I love them to death, but the flights down there are astronomical, so I'm strongly seeing this as a no-go. Jetblue's calendar isn't online yet, but I've played around with it some. I could get down there on Jetblue for an ok number of points... and then have to pay $140 in taxes and fees for one person on top of it. Multiple Delta flights down there are already sold out and the next cheapest ones are $540 pp for basic economy. It's a laughable 80k AA miles to get down there or $700 pp. Southwest doesn't fly there.
Not to mention I have zero interest in ever going to Jamaica.
I think I'm going to have to look for a polite way to decline. Too expensive when I need to save for Japan, on top of the fact that that's another 2 days I'd have to take off work.
I hear the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall is nice. I want to go there one weekend. Southwest also goes to Jamaica.
Apparently not from RICIt doesn't matter what dates I put in, it says there are no scheduled flights available.
A couple of days ago, I applied for the Amex Bonvoy Biz card and was approved. Yesterday, I noticed that they had lowered the CL on my Amex Delta Blue from 10k to 6k. Is that a bad sign from Amex, when they lower your CL on a different card after approving you for a new one? The Delta Blue is an old card, and I only put around $50-$100 on it per month.
I'm getting boring Hilton CC. Think I'd rather get Post Ranch Inn and daydream, lol.
