Quoting myself to report back that my lowly Silver was good enough

I received a very quick response back from SWA congratulating me on the status match. Now, I need to find three RT flights to keep it going for a year
Yay!! This is how I ended up with my A-List status. I was offered temporary A-List earlier this year on a promo, and then had to complete 3 flights by May 31. I did that and got my status extended through the rest of this year. It has been super nice. The guaranteed A boarding group is great, and even better is SW checking you in to that boarding group automatically if you forget or want to sleep in

The 25% multiplier on points earning is also really nice.
Congratulations to your dd!
Congratulations on your dd getting offers and having the AA miles!
I was wondering how job prospects are for overseas graduates in the US. Or is she planning on staying in Europe post-graduation? I would like dd to apply (she's a senior) to either London or Scotland -- is it too late? I am worried about job prospects afterwards (I haven't done any research on this.
Congratulations to your DD! And WTG on finding a use for those AA miles. It's not always easy.
I am also curious on this. DD did a college semester in the UK, but is contemplating grad school over there.
I think overseas colleges are regarded quite well in the US as far as job prospects. But, my niece who went to Trinity in Dublin has chosen to work in London. She has the advantage of EU citizenship because my mom was born in Ireland, not sure how Brexit will affect her. Just like my DD went to college in CA and stayed there, don't be surprised if overseas graduates choose not to come back!
Thanks, all, for the congratulations. We are really excited for her.
@CaliforniaGirl09 might want to chime in as well regarding job prospects, etc. because her DD is in her last year at university in England, although she is planning on graduate school, also in the U.K. For my DD, she applied to study History so almost certainly will go on to grad school, most likely in the U.K. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if she stayed there, assuming she likes it as much as she thinks she does after four years + grad school, lol. While on the one hand it would be hard to have her so far away permanently, we would definitely plan to visit multiple times a year, so I'm not sure if would be all that different than her going to college in another state and not returning to Idaho. It would still take a trip to see her. In terms of job prospects if she does come back, I don't really know, TBH. I think DD wants to teach at the college level, so I would hope a History degree plus grad degree at a relatively prestigious U.K. university would stand her in good stead, even to teach in the U.S. Edinburgh's world ranking is #20, and Glasgow's is #59 I think.
@*WDW*Groupie*, in terms of timing, the UCAS application opened up in early September, and DD had heard back from all of her schools by the end of last week. But the deadline for submitting the application isn't until January 15 for schools other than Oxford and Cambridge, so I assume schools hold some spots for later applicants. There is definitely still time, but your DD would need to write a personal statement (not overly long) and get a reference from a teacher. The application can't be submitted without both of those pieces. Here is a link to the UCAS site with the deadlines:

Hope that helps. Happy to answer any questions via PM.
