I have AP's on MDE. They were purchased directly from Disney on the Disney website while logged into MDE which allowed me to purchase them at the DVC price, so they auto loaded to MDE.

My non expiry tickets were all purchased from Undercover tourist and are hard tickets. I also have single day hard tickets that were from older ticket media that Guest Services converted for me to the newer style media. Like when you had 1 or 2 remaining days on a ticket.
And they also did this for leftover pluses - I have half a bunch of single day water parks, golf or mini golf, and a couple of tickets with 4 plus options on them. And, my 10 day tickets also have plus options attached. The tickets with 4 pluses will have to be used by the same person though. The guest services person was very nice about doing this - I had a handful of tickets and really had lost track of what was left on them. I had notes on those old paper tickets but did not keep an accurate running log, plus we went pretty often in the early years.
Sounds similar to me, I have hard tix purchased from UT. And I have some left over tix with days and pluses as well. It is overwhelming to keep track of and I’ve brought some with me on different trips and converted to the new ticket media as well. I am not buying any more tix ahead of time anymore of course since they all have expiration dates now too, but also my kids aren’t going as often with us either.

I am trying to setup Plastiq to use Masterpass and all of these newly acquired MCGCs to pay my mortgage but I receive an error saying something went error, we are not accepting new users at this time. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
I think masterpass is no longer. Can you just enter the cards?

Chromebook or the Kindle. My mother still won't use her Fire for anything besides reading and playing card games, but she has a macbook that she will do everything on. You can usually find Chromebooks for as little as $100 or so.
Thanks! I forgot that DS had an old chrome book he no longer needs since he got his school laptop. I’ll give that to my mom.

Another SW question for all of you SW experts. If I'm booking 7 tickets how many should I add early bird check in to? It's 4 adults 3 kids. Plus I have the SW Performance Biz with the 4 upgraded boardings (which I think is the most ridiculous system since you can't count on actually being able to use it.)

Anyway, I don't want to chance a low number, so should I get the early bird for maybe DH and the 3 kids and I could do the upgrade if available?
And let my mother and sister take their chances with 24 hour check in, since we'd already be on the plane holding middle seats for them? I know saving seats is frowned upon by many - but it would be middle seats... between my kids - no one is going to want those seats!

If I can't get the upgraded boarding day of, I could probably still have DH and the 3 kids save a row across and when my mother, sister and I board, he can find another seat???

Maybe I should just buy 5 Early Birds....

Ugh, I wish you could use the upgrade in advance!
If your youngest looks young then you could probably use family boarding. I’ve never seen them check birth certificates at the gate.

Altogether they will be infant, 3, 8, 10, 12, 14. I would be fine with the older two boarding alone but not the younger four. I guess we should probably just split up.

That's a thought, I'll need to think if that's the better strategy or not. Thanks for the info!
you are a family you could all board together.

our flight last was sold out. I had b31 with checking in at 4pm right on time.

So I tried a Shack Shack burger for the first time this week, and I have to say I'm not a fan. Everything was very fresh. The leafy lettuce looked picture perfect. The sliced tomato were very juicy. The potato bun felt moist and warm. But the hamburger patty, which I always consider the whole point of a cheese/hamburger, was way too mushy. I prefer patties with a bit more substance and structure. Whatever meat they use for the patty was just too soft – juicy and fresh, but again too mushy.

I also tried their chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was thick, well battered and crispy, perfectly cooked, and juicy. Loved the taste of the pickles and the buttermilk herb mayo together. It felt very cool and fresh and was a nice balance to the fried chicken. It was messy though! The chicken and lettuce were sliding around between the bun and the sauce got all over the wrapper and my fingers. I'd say Shake Shack's chicken sandwich is better than Popeyes which I tried recently, but not better Bakesale Betty's in Oakland.

To bring it back on topic, I did use my Amex Gold $
I had Shake Shack yesterday and I don’t have an Amex Gold. I love Shake Shack!

Which tickets are you trying to keep from being used? I don’t have my 10 day no expiry on my MDE either, I try to keep as few on MDE as possible. Last time I was on property in March I bought extra AP vouchers. I just had a feeling prices were going to go up with Star Wars opening. The CM strongly advised me to put them on my MDE right then and there so I didn’t lose them. But I didn’t want to do that. I have them tucked away in a safe place with receipt. And will load them when I want to use them.
This is my concern, I'm somewhat in a ongoing transition :crazy2: and am worried I would misplace the voucher, but not crazy about loading them on MDE either. I expect at some point Disney is going to scrutinize the DVC gold AP deal compared to regular AP and reduce the gap. I'm going to get some stockpiled this year. It's also a great strategy for meeting MSR and taking advantage of the various cc offers for discounted Dgc's for more than just my dues. Thanks to you and @Judique

You can also create a second MDE with a new email and store your tickets there. Or snap a picture of the codes on the back as a back-up method. I do that with giftcards too.
Ah, both excellent ideas, never thought about opening a 2nd MDE. You can transfer them to your main MDE when you want to use them correct.? - thank you!

@Judique We have our "other family" in my MDE account. I created profiles with each of our middle names and keep extra tickets attached to those names. Our tickets are stored in MDE, but we don't risk using them before needed.

These tickets come in handy for many purposes. Recently, we were planning to go to MNSSHP but I wasn't ready to buy the tickets. I transferred one set of park tickets from our "other family" to us to make FPs in advance. Once our dates were confirmed and I bought the the MNSSHP tickets, I transferred the tickets back to our "other family" for safe keeping.
Those were non AP tickets correct?

There have been quite a few reports that some WN GAs are cracking down on family boarding, and occasionally they eliminate it all together. The actual policy is two adults with a child six or younger. This is one of the reasons I'm hesitant to book WN for my family of four since my oldest ages out of family boarding next week.

Exactly! I know what you mean. I do have then in a safe place, but I think I’m going to write down the numbers just Incase and store in another place as well. It’s one of the only tickets I know of that can be stockpiled. Locking today’s price with the DVC discount because you know prices are going to go up, plus like you said the discount could go down. I also used some of my MYW tickets towards the purchase, but you can only do that in person.

I don’t know how transferring from one MDE to another would work. But I do have extra people on mine that I can shift tickets too. I just rather not load them all on there because I have so many. 😝

Question, I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around this. Is it better ( discount wise) to use my CIP to pay my bill that is charged to my room ( at Disney world) or better to use discounted Disney gift cards? I usually bring Disney gift cards to pay for my meals, but if it’s better to earn points on the CIP I can use it instead.

I was happy with my switchover to the new media a few years back,I had a handful of passes with a day or 2 attached to them, they let me create a new ticket under just my name for future use,b/c our fam of 4 had used them over the years and I couldn;t reliably know which was which,or who would need them in future trips. This works well for a short visit,I just use one of my days up.(since I know for sure I'll want to go back) And I still have 1 5 day pass left that's completely untouched.... and not in MDE either. I'm saving that for a future trip when we go back at some point. (I'll call it the last hurrah of savings lol when I use it) When NE tix were taken away, everything changed for me.

This “eliminating family boarding” story is one of those “old wives tales” or maybe more on topic is a Disney bus-driver type of rumor. I hear it often on the DIS from people trying to gaslight conversations but nobody ever can provide a concrete example of a flight where it happened. Family boarding is part of SW’s official boarding process and is spelled out clearly on their website in the FAQs: https://www.southwest.com/html/generated/help/faqs/boarding_the_plane_faq.html

(enforcing the age is a different story and may actually occur)

I did the same thing a year or two ago and still have those tickets now in usable form. Ours had been attached to old room key cards! The last 4 or 5 years DH and I go twice a year so APs work well for us. And when our kids do go with us, it’s been for more than a day or two, so I’ll probably be keeping those left over tickets for some time to come. Eventually, I’m sure I will have a use for them.
