I almost had a GC fail. I used our $25 off $100 at Staples AMEX offers earlier this month to buy a $200 VGC when they were fee free, and then was going to use that on Sam's to get Disney GCs so it'd go a teeny bit farther than just getting a Disney GC (plus every month I have swagbucks GCs and a GC for a carpool incentive to use towards them). So I've been waiting all month... Finally RMN has Sam's again so I ordered some yesterday... totally forgot about the VGC 🤦‍♀️ Off to order more! lol

ETA: And of course Sam's isn't on RMN anymore argh
I was just going to order another one from Sam’s and was wondering where it went. I guess they pull the offers early sometimes.

I have the ap's on the MDE but not my 10 day no expiry tickets. I've got to figure out how to keep the originals from being used. maybe buying on property and using it before adding to MDE? I could care less about fast passes - usually I look at them the night before I go to a park, if I want to ride Buzz or Toy story or the safari.
Which tickets are you trying to keep from being used? I don’t have my 10 day no expiry on my MDE either, I try to keep as few on MDE as possible. Last time I was on property in March I bought extra AP vouchers. I just had a feeling prices were going to go up with Star Wars opening. The CM strongly advised me to put them on my MDE right then and there so I didn’t lose them. But I didn’t want to do that. I have them tucked away in a safe place with receipt. And will load them when I want to use them.

This is embarrassing, but I had already purchased the "Skymiles Select" offer right before I checked in here and saw your post. :guilty: I think I was wooed by the 8 free drinks and not knowing that my Delta Plat meant that I could board with Main 1 even if I only purchased a basic seat, (this is starting to feel like confession) (more because I purchase basic sometimes than that I didn't know about the cc benefit), and I have always wanted a luggage tag but was too frugal to spend money on something I thought had a good chance of being ripped off by merciless baggage handlers or stolen because it was so cool. But I just found out that it triggered the $50 gold airline credit I still had, so in my skewed calculation I'm getting 8 drinks for $9. ;)
The best mistakes are the ones that result in good things- like booze :)

@Haley R was it you that asked how to use Chase Pay at Sam's Club? DH talked me through it:

You need the chase pay app, link your Freedom card, at the store store open the app and it will take you to a Chase version of Samsung Pay and you tap and pay as with any contactless payment.
I don’t think that was me but thanks for explaining lol

that was me!
so it is Samsung pay? I don’t have that.

You can also create a second MDE with a new email and store your tickets there. Or snap a picture of the codes on the back as a back-up method. I do that with giftcards too.

Took my DD to the big city for a late lunch and shopping after she took the ACT today and I was so shopped out, I couldn’t even handle extra stops at Staples and Office Max for gc’s. :charac2:  Next promo, I guess.

In other better news, anybody who comes to Columbus, OH again on a trip, we had lunch at a new Cap City Diner. It’s near the Columbus Zoo and we really enjoyed it. And they have a nice gluten free menu if you need that (I do).

My mom is going to stay with my sister for a couple of months and needs something to do her bills while she is away. She typically uses a desktop at home and has an iPhone. I thinking I would just get her an 8” Kindle Fire since she doesn’t need it to do much besides get on the Internet and she could read books on it. The other thought was just a cheap laptop in case she wanted to use Office. Any other thoughts? Not looking to spend a lot since I doubt it will get much use.

I have AP's on MDE. They were purchased directly from Disney on the Disney website while logged into MDE which allowed me to purchase them at the DVC price, so they auto loaded to MDE.

My non expiry tickets were all purchased from Undercover tourist and are hard tickets. I also have single day hard tickets that were from older ticket media that Guest Services converted for me to the newer style media. Like when you had 1 or 2 remaining days on a ticket.
And they also did this for leftover pluses - I have a bunch of single day water parks, golf or mini golf, and a couple of tickets with 4 plus options on them. And, my 10 day tickets also have plus options attached. The tickets with 4 pluses will have to be used by the same person though. The guest services person was very nice about doing this - I had a handful of tickets and really had lost track of what was left on them. I had notes on those old paper tickets but did not keep an accurate running log, plus we went pretty often in the early years.

It's all in how you rationalize it. If it works for you that's all that matters. And even 8 water bottles for $9 is a deal depending on where you have to buy it.

I am trying to setup Plastiq to use Masterpass and all of these newly acquired MCGCs to pay my mortgage but I receive an error saying something went error, we are not accepting new users at this time. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

@Judique We have our "other family" in my MDE account. I created profiles with each of our middle names and keep extra tickets attached to those names. Our tickets are stored in MDE, but we don't risk using them before needed.

These tickets come in handy for many purposes. Recently, we were planning to go to MNSSHP but I wasn't ready to buy the tickets. I transferred one set of park tickets from our "other family" to us to make FPs in advance. Once our dates were confirmed and I bought the the MNSSHP tickets, I transferred the tickets back to our "other family" for safe keeping.

Chromebook or the Kindle. My mother still won't use her Fire for anything besides reading and playing card games, but she has a macbook that she will do everything on. You can usually find Chromebooks for as little as $100 or so.
