Not overly impressed with Pei at the moment. Totally glad there's a lot of places to use it but I'd rather enter the cards I want to use than to log in to each bank so it can suck the cards from there. Plus it wants me to disable my extra security on BofA to get in, umm no not going to do it even if it is just for a few minutes. It shows Target as an option but I can't figure out if any of them work for the debit card. I don't have a different login for it and it doesn't seem to work with any of them. I did a little googling and didn't find anything. If anyone figures it out please let me know because it'd be nice to combine them.

Did you link it by target or by your bank debit card? I can't get it to work with any of the target options and I didn't want to link my debit since I never use it to buy stuff. My target debit is the only non cc I use to buy stuff.

I honestly don't remember. I'm pretty sure I just linked the acct that it pulls from and it pulled in my Target card. When I did it, if I recall, it showed the last 4 of the card and you chose MC/V/A for the card. Well the last 4 of my Target card are identical to the last 4 of one my Visa cards, I think a Visa debit card so I tagged it as Visa. After shopping at Target I was completely confused. It took a few trips for me to realize what was going on, that card was actually my Target card and it was also crediting those purchases against my checking acct. I've had the Pei acct since Nov, I rarely pay attention to it other than to log in about once a week to check my balance. I've had no issues with it at all. Compared to other accts where you link cards, this one has been my favorite because I don't have to think about it ahead of time, my cards are all linked already. I use it to just earn in the background. RMN you have to activate the offer, Dosh you have to follow up and make sure you get credit. Pei, at least in the beginning when I was monitoring it, never failed.

Key Valentines Day Test scheduled for tomorrow.

We expect tomorrow’s flight to be on the same route as last week, Oakland to Honolulu. We are also still hopeful that flights could be announced tomorrow, Valentines Day, following that flight, but no one will know until it happens. One rumor is that SWA executives could even be on board tomorrow, and that plays into a potential announcement on arrival in Hawaii tomorrow afternoon. We are standing by.

The first Southwest Hawaii flight to Honolulu took place on February 5, 2019, from Oakland. It returned to the mainland on Wednesday February 6. We don’t know whether or not there will be additional tests to Maui. We’re also awaiting the first inter-island test, which will be an extension between Honolulu and Maui. More tests including emergency diversion simulations are likely.

At present the airline’s almost singular new focus is completing what they recently called Southwest’s “top new market.” We believe that Southwest Hawaii flights should be in the air by next month at the latest. The company hopes to sell tickets this month. As you know, flights were to be cleared for takeoff in January, prior to the federal government shutdown that prevented their obtaining final approval.

OMG yes! We were so tired after the 12 hour flight home that we kept messing up the photo thing. DH would set it up, tell DD to get in the "photo zone" and she kept going the other way. We took an embarrassingly long time at the kiosk.

I'm only 5'4" too, but I'd be willing to team up with you both and take him down. Or maybe we could just take Summer's lounge passes away from her and then we could watch her cry on the floor again. I'm really annoyed that they killed this for everyone so they could personally profit.

I want one close to the United center but we decided we will take a lyft no matter what because we won’t feel safe walking at night. I see a Hampton about 1.6 miles away that looks decent for $161/night. Didn’t know if you guys have stayed somewhere you really liked

I wouldn't recommend staying close to the United Center. It's pretty far out from the main city (not that it's far, but there is nothing out there). We have stayed at the Drake, Allegro, Hyatt Regency, W in the Loop, Hotel Rafaello, Omni Suites, Hotel Godfrey, Hampton Inn on Illinois St., and the Embassy Suites on State St in River North. All were really great!

The only place I've stayed at there is the Westin on Michigan Ave. It was nice and I loved the location, but nothing special. DH was there for work so I have no idea what it cost though. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Great city. My BFF lives in Hyde Park so I'm looking for hotels near her home (last time we stayed with them for a while, but she's sick and I'd like to visit and help but not take up space this time).

Not sure if this will affect anybody here but if you had any large purchases on 1/31 with AMEX you’ll want to familiarize yourself with this issue. Your points may be delayed...and you may have to follow up with AMEX on things.

Agree with this. We have stayed at that Embassy Suites twice. Love it. The area by the United Center made me very uncomfortable after dark when we were trying to get a cab from there a few years back.

I like the Marriott near the stadium in the medical district, a mile away. I like a bar called the Westend for dinner pregame and they have a shuttle to and from. Otherwise if there are things you will want to do down town I’d suggest just staying there.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm missing my dining credit from Jan 20th and they keep saying it can take 4 weeks but I know something is wrong.

Have you tried to press x or cancel when the card reader defaults to debit? That may switch it to the credit card option. And have you tried the 4-digit number under the silver scratch strip? For these MCGCs, I believe the activation codes come in the mail, and the pin for each card is underneath the strip.

I feel like for the Staples MCGC, pins can be set at first use. So just enter whatever you want at the grocery store or wherever. @Alexle2007 might want to try that if all else fails.

Wife came home late today...I was resting as I have not been feeling well for the last 24 hours. I knew she was going to be late because she had a "meeting." I was half asleep.Told me to come outside and I assumed she had hit something with my car as it has been a bit slick in our neck of the woods after yesterdays storm. Come to find out, she bought me a new car! Pretty red 2019 Rav4. Thinking the typical flowers delivered to work/candy/card will be a bit underwhelming to what I got today.

Also quite surprised with the IRS turnaround. Filed this past Friday and when I logged into the bank account, it says I have a deposit coming on Friday. Not bad...5 business days.

Ok...back to bed.
