I had heard at the time that it was going to continue into 2024. Not that it matters. We couldn't go any other time. Stupid college, lol.

Disney 100 pretty much ended in 2023.

And really it was like half the year. I felt vindicated that I pushed to get us to go to DL for a weekend in Spring of 2023. I was worried that the D100 stuff would dwindle in summer and especially during Halloween/Christmas, and then that it wouldn't return the following year. DH kept saying no way , but I was basically right!

This isn’t exactly news, but finally saw Tapestry of Happiness last weekend and I really loved it. Like “will make it a priority to get back regularly” loved it— it’s total fan service for those of us who fondly remember and love Disneyland in the 80s (and probably before, but I only date back to the 80s) and it’s only 5 minutes.

You do need to be cool with the Jonas brothers Celebrate Happy theme though (which I also love).

I was wondering, too, but I think they don't celebrate the birthdays unless it's a milestone one. Iger has said he doesn't want people thinking Mickey is old

Interesting. I was there one year on Mickeys Bday and they had a special cavalcade with rare characters, I cant remember how old Mickey was turning though. I had planned to be there when he turns 100 but will they ignore it so he doesnt come off as old

There is a special birthday cavalcade.

Regarding the 70th, today's cavalcade was basically the 70th cavalcade (including Duffy & ShellieMae) with balloons added. I believe they redecorated the float for Halloween so it is nice to see that is back to being decorated for the 70th.

Edit to add that it looks like they have a new banner for the front of the cavalcade. And I believe the cake float is the same one they used on July 17.

I saw that Mickey and Minnie dug out their 90th birthday costumes at the Magic Kingdom today. No idea if they did the same at DL.

I bet they will do something pretty special when Mickey and Minnie turn 100. For the 90th, beside the special Mickey birthday song and all the merchandising, they devoted all of Destination D23 to the big birthday. But I'm glad that they still do a little something in the parks for other birthdays, as folks stated above!

I’ll get a few. Won’t go crazy getting multiple happy meals a day. The promotion is about 30 days. So someone would have to get 2-3 a day to even have a chance of getting all 70

I'm surprised but pleased to see that the 70th anniversary is still being actively celebrated and didn't peter out after July. I know they said it would go for a year, but I kind of expected it to get half-hearted by now. This bodes well for an even bigger 75th anniversary!
