I am currently using P2's CIP to pay our car loan. The loan is also through Chase. Attached is how it coded on P2's CIP.

What’s the max for Serve?
That screen capture is straight off of the CIP statement. Not sure where to look to see if it is 3x or not, just started playing this game last month.Thank you!
Is that category really showing as Office and Shipping? Are you getting 3x on it??
My dd is maximizing that Paypal category too with P2P![]()

I have been given a TON of great advise by @SouthFayetteFan, and have been reading almost every post since I found this thread. Got my first CIP approved on 6/13 and P2 got hers on 7/5. She also get her first Citi AA Biz on 6/14. Met my CIP MSR really quickly thanks to some large bills, and met her AA Biz MSR with 2 mortgage payments using Plastiq. Need to start looking for our next cards!A month and you already know about serve? That’s awesome!
5k a month but you can have 2 cards so 10k. I load my SOs cards though too so I really have 20k with serve every month.
From what I remember, it's always stayed the office and shipping category, Chase just turned off the 3x earning for that merchant (and whoever else got nerfed around that time, Venmo, Google?, etc)Thank you!

I just checked my dd's link, it was time to update it anyways, and it does still have the $50 statement credit as the bonus. I know I saw Amazon higher recently but I can't remember what or whenI believe the $50 statement credit is only for support links, or possibly affiliate links. The public app only mentions the cashback match and 0% interest, both of which you also get with a support/affiliate link. (I mention affiliate links because at one point if you applied through Amazon you got a $75 credit instead. Not sure what it might be now, might be Amazon credit or something. Who knows what they have out there now. But always have to weigh the odds of fulfillment, I decided to go support for the certainty)
Yep, same card, just that one added perk that's only good while you're a student (capped at 5 years I think)
I think they don't give you as long for the intro 0% interest period. I thought I saw 6 months when I looked briefly this morning; a regular card goes for 14 months.
Thanks for the tutorial. It looks like it only codes 1x.Ok, no problem, I can show you how. First, login to your Chase account. Click through under your Ultimate Rewards:

Finally, you should be able to scroll down and see what you've spent and if it earned bonus points, like this:

Don't feel you have to do this of course! I'm just curious. Plus, now you know how to check.![]()
That's a win-win!! Learned good from their Mama!DD18 is paying for a school trip to Ecuador in the fall. She is letting older DD put it on her CIP for MSR and she is paying her back through PayPal with her discover. Older DD is not as keen on the spending money to make money right now, but I think she will come around before the quarter is up.

If you mean on DISchurners, there are several of us who have kids with the student cards. IIRC, when my dd applied, we used a link from DISchurners and it gave NO indication it was a student card until she got into the app and it asked about where she went to school, what year, etc.Seems the only links are for the Discover IT and not the Discover IT Student Card? Is that right.
I've paid so many mortgage payments, dance tuitions, car loans, and more with plastiq and never, ever had a problem. I understand the worry but try not to. I think the problems are more rare. Now that I've publicly put that out there, I'm sure I'm jinxed lol.My first plaatiq mortgage payment posted to my acct so now I can stop worrying about it not working for some odd reason. Now to set up my student loan.
Right... at least our 'security' is more for checking truckers in and out of our lotThat is crazy! I would definitely not trust "security" like that. What else could the guard be lying about?
That's what I do, all fees or points cashed out goes into the travel budgetI really need to set a travel budget though and have the MS fees and extras come out of that budget. We don't currently budget for travel, we just do what we want and miles helps offset the cost. This is leading to problems though. I think I need to set a travel budget for 2020 and stick to it. Only take these last minute trips and stuff if it fits in the budget. I can also add to it by cashing out points when I MS for cash. So maybe I can MS the BBP first to get some extra cash to help offset these expenses.
Oooh, will have to remember to do this! Is it the same process as way back when the Freedom had a paypal quarter? My dd is maximizing that Paypal category too with P2P![]()
I use the ones I get from Giftcardmall to get money orders. They have my name on them and cute designs so it’s not obvious that it’s a giftcard. I do this because I max four serves a month with GCs that are obviously GCs from either staples or the grocery store. I’m hoping to get BlueBirds soon so I can MS 40k a month between Serve and BlueBird.
