Question. Can you get a bonus on both Disney cards in less than 24 months? Dd got the regular card in 5/17. I am looking at an offer for a $250 statement credit on the Premier and it says “if you do not have this card and have not recieved a new cardmember bonus on this card in the past 24 months”. I know it’s not the greatest card but she and her friend are planning a fairly last minute trip to Disney and this would help.

We feel the exact same about eating. We just got home from wdw today and Dh and I feel like we ate so much junk. We did 3 dah so had lots of ice cream, pop, and popcorn. We also ate in the lounge at YC CL a lot and snacked. It’s gonna be hard to get back to eating less and eating healthier but I have to do something

I know I picked up 5 pounds, no exaggeration. I've felt perpetually bloated for 5 days now, lol. Of course we just continued to eat horrible today because why not I guess. But I feel super sluggish. No bueno.

I wonder if there is a weight loss thread on the Dis? I'd like to commiserate with some like minded people.

Not a recent DP but I got a bonus on the Premier in 09/16 and regular in 09/17 with no issues. I believe they are treated as completely separate cards for bonus eligibility.

Yeah I’m positive I gained weight. I haven’t weighed myself and don’t want to. I mostly have just been losing tons of muscle and it’s all turning into fat. We ate bad today too.

1) why?
2) what do they mean?
3) do you regret any of them?

It specifically says “on this card”. She has the regular now, not the premier.

I just chatted with a Hilton honors staff member about adding points to our reservation for Tokyo. I didn’t realize it was so easy. She took care of it in like 5 minutes or less. I was worried we would have to cancel and rebook a new reservation to apply more points. We earned points from our hotel before wdw and those points essentially took off $66 of our reservation which is cool.

Correct - no referrals on premier. That’s why I always decline those “awesome” upgrade offers they send me lol.

I'm always fascinated by people's ink as well...I have none and probably never will as I am not into pain nor anything too permanent in my body lol...but why people get inked what they get inked is so interesting!

However my teen dd's are very uncomfortable with a man without a shirt. I saw their faces and how they looked away and immediately changed the channel. It doesn't phase me as I grew up in south TX and men walked around shirtless all the time. Here in CO, it's rare to see a man without a shirt as it's not as much of the culture as it is in TX so I respect that my dd's are weirded out.

Me too. I've been telling myself I will get a tattoo "some day". I was going to get a tramp stamp for my 40th birthday. 10 years later I can't decide on what exactly I'd want. I think the idea of getting a tattoo seems to be in the same category of getting a horse for me now. As long as we don't say it will never happen and keep saying that "some day" it might ... everybody is happy. In the meantime, I will enjoy the ink on others and dream about my own "some day".

Same! I'm fascinated by others ink but I can never come up with anything i'm willing to permanently put on my body. My neighbor got a 'fishing lure' tattoo on her wrist when her dad passed away. He loved fishing. As lovely as I think that is, I'm still not sure I'd even be willing to do that. I'm pretty chicken when it comes to this kind of thing.

Just made a points advance reservation for the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay in anticipation of the SUBs I'll hopefully be getting from the AmEx SPG cards after the elevated bonuses come out. Would not have known about that feature if not for reading it here. I've been eyeing the Ritz for a couple anniversaries, but could never bring myself to pay the cash rate. 60,000 points, lowest cash rate is $860.

When I logged into my SPG account, saw that I had over 13,000 points I had forgotten about! It's from our Sheraton Tokyo Bay stay in June 2016. Although I'm confused how I got that many points from a stay that cost $650 USD (must have been some promotion). And why didn't the points expire after 12 or even 24 months? Does it have anything to do with the merger? In any case, it's almost like finding $100 in the couch, lol.

Questions: does the Lux $300 credit cover room charges at the Ritz? And is there anyway to see when points expire online?

I have no interest in pain either (maybe why I have only one child—never forgot that experience!) so I won’t have ink ever. If I were a different person I’d have Prov 3:5-6 in my wrist and an anklet around my ankle (duh) with symbols representing the races I’ve done- so a Mickey head with a 20; a crown; DL castle; Tink; Chip and Dale, etc . I had a lot of time (obviously) to consider it when I was running! It won’t happen because needles-ankle-pain but it kept my mind occupied during long runs

One of my DB’s four or five tatoos is my avatar- it was done so well it really is like art.

I have to spend several hundred dollars at Best Buy very soon. Other than buying B.B. gift cards at Staples using my CIC for the 5x bonus, is there any other obvious strategy I am missing? We also have CSR, CSP, CIP, and SPG biz. I have never used any of the rebate apps but I am willing if it’s worth it.

Use Swagbucks it will give you some more savings. $100 increments each day seems to be the best.

Ok finally caught up thanks to a boring game!

Flew swa mon and Friday. Friday’s flight at 8 am showed a delay for our 925 pm flight. Ended up changing flight to a 400 pm. Never had such an experience at the airport or from the pilot. Good thing I’m not afraid of flying but they didn’t give a good feeling.

I miss the FL weather even though it wasn’t shorts weather it beat coming home to 2” of walking through snow in flip flops to get to the car.

Key West Sheraton was nice. Physically could use some updating but staff was friendly.

Fairfield Inn downtown Fort Lauderdale isn’t worth it. Location is nice and free airport transportation but being that the hotel has only be open 7 months. Outlet in bathroom didn’t work and staff were far from being pleasant.

Didn’t take any pics of the hotels realized I should have after we left.
