I'm in the wrong profession

Having talked to some high up Life Coaches and done some research into it as a career, it's not unheard of that high end Life Coaches can earn in excess of £100,000 per year! I'm sort of qualified, just don't feel it. Counselling? I can understand that. But Life Coaching? Even after doing the footwork, I'm not sure I can make the connection between it and every day life.

With that kind of profession you have to have the confidence in yourself before you can give the advice to others to become confident in themselves.
You also need to be willing to put in the work that it takes to build clients and become successful.
It's like being an influencer it takes more than you think to actually start bringing in money and can take years.

The top end salary comes from just a few well off clients who keep on coming back to you for advice, Life Coaching wise. Sadly, Hypnotherapists can't realistically hope to earn that much, even when established and charging decent amounts. And as a new practitioner, I'm even further down the salary ladder. But I do enjoy it as work.

I'm not sure I'd consider 100K GPS as a high end salary.
IF you are going to start a career, I think you should do what you enjoy & are good at, and what will pay the bills.
I would. That is more than my wife and I every made, combined. About $134,000 U.S.

I guess though, in the end, it's all about job satisfaction. Assuming you generate enough cash to comfortably live on, that is. I'm not greedy.

Sorry but I really don’t understand Life Coaches - unless you are someone who has absolutely attained the top of your field then why do you think you are skilled enough to teach anyone else how to succeed? We have a multimillion dollar company - I’m not going to listen to someone who has a piece of paper saying they’re a Life Coach over someone who has run a business, gone through the highs and lows then actually become a success.

What’s the old George Bernard Shaw saying “Those that can, do. Those that can’t, teach”.

Having studied Life Coaching to death, I don't get it either, really. It's kinda like a specialised form of Counselling, but to me it feels a little preachy? As I have said, the best life coaches earn six figures, so maybe I'm missing something?
