MDE question that I’m hoping some of you can help me with:

I currently have all three separate reservations on my MDE for in laws, my mom, and DH and I. I will be the one booking all ADRs and 60 day FPs. However, I know that my mom and BIL would like to have the app on their phone to look up wait times and order food, and they will also branch out to some different parks some days and may want to make some FPs. Can they have their own MDE account with their reservation number plugged in and it not mess up me making FPs for them for the days I know we’ll be together? I just don’t want them to create their own account and suddenly I can’t book FPs for all 6 of us at once.

They need to have their own account and then you need to be friends with them so you can book their stuff. It's how my friend and I have it set up since we don't always travel together. Whenever I make an fp or an adr she pops up as an option even if she's not on the the hotel rez.

Next day air saver is next business day. I got a UPS my choice notification when the card finally shipped.

I expected it to happen yesterday since I got approved and asked to expedite it before 10am est yesterday but nothing yet. So Tuesday I guess. Only have online stuff to spend with it at the moment though I have to figure plastiq out tomorrow so I can pay my mortgage and student loan. At least with chase I only need the MC for my mortgage right? I can pay the student loan with the card through plastiq?

I was told mine would be expedited Thursday morning and it’s not yet either. Not a big deal but would have been nice to have before Prime Day

Just an FYI to anyone watching for WDW Fall/Holiday discounts. The rumor is strong we'll see them next week according to the Resort Discounts forum. (strong = Someone briefly saw "FL Resident Fall and Holiday Discounts" pop up under offers on a Disney webpage but the link didn't work and it was quickly pulled, apparently that's something IT does when they're prepping to release something.)

I have a good Southwest story today.... I booked our fall travel the day the latest booking section opened about a month ago. My outbound and inbound flights totaled 21,913 points. Occasionally I would remember to check prices but certainly not on a regular basis and when I did check it was still climbing. The past few days I have checked 2-3 times per day, with lots of fluctuating prices. I have managed to shave 8272 points off my flights, enough to book another one way! (Keeping my fingers crossed for no more travel headaches for anyone here.)

I feel like maybe this was talked about a couple weeks back or I am just dreaming it up...have you guys tried the metal straws yet? I have seen them in places and with the diminishing of plastic straws not only in WDW, but in general, I was curious how they were.

Yes I use silicone and metal straws at home. I'm not hauling around straws that need to be cleaned on vacation though. I draw the line there.

From a mod on the tech board -

You actually can have 30 posts within an hour. If you reach that limit, the system maxes you out and you have to wait the specified time before continuing to post.

I believe it’s a Spammer safeguard.


So to me that means there are some people across the entire board that should multi quote to help avoid this. Also maybe stop posting so much in that amount of time

Anyone ever stay at the Marco Island (fl) Hilton beach resort? Thinking about it for a beach trip with dd in Jan/Feb sometime. Would fly SW to Ft Myers and rent a car.

I considered transferring all of P2’s MRs out of his plat account to Hilton, but I don’t think we’ll need that many more Hilton points for this winter and we’re not done with Amex MR cards yet (hopefully). We’re only possibly going to lose 15k MR in the clawback (hasn’t happened yet!) so I guess we’ll just sit tight and see what happens.

I have stayed there, pre renovation. It was nice then, and the reno was supposed to be even nicer, I think to compete with the JW a few doors down. We were supposed to stay right after the reno for Thanksgiving but they put us at the JW because construction was behind schedule. The whole place was shut down for the renovation, (not just sections) so it was a pretty big undertaking. But when they finished the reno, and hadn't even opened back up yet (if I recall) the hurricane came through and ruined everything. So awful. So it was then closed forever again. Seems like there was a fire thrown in there too. Anyways, it was closed for probably 2 years but it should be really nice and fresh now, after all that!

Just had the same thing happen. Got locked out for 45 minutes. This is basically the only board I post on so definitely didn't make 30 comments in the last hour lol

Do Chase expedited cards get delivered on Saturday? Today would have been 48 hours and I just want to make sure it didn’t get lost. I usually get emails from UPS whenever anything is coming to our address.

I can get UPS home and business delivered on Saturdays but have never received a Chase card on a Saturday. I believe they have their shipping set to M-F only with UPS

forgot to post yesterday went the the bed bath and beyond thats 2 hours away and they had gift cards. I was able to use the happy card I had for 2 $50 disney gc. now if only amex would do another 15% off happy cards that would make it worth it again. would be even better if there was a happy that had lowes on it as thats only 35 min away. home depot is 2 hours away so that wouldn't be worth it to me.

The gift cards were the last items I looked at, so I’m assuming the fraudster checked my viewing history & thought they had a good chance of getting away with purchasing something I was already interested in.

I'm probably going to get a timeout from the spam filter for this cause it'll be my 2nd post this hour but I really don't enjoy the angry reaction. I get that people are angry at the subject and not what I actually said but when you have multiple of them in your alerts it's disheartening until you realize what it's from. Actually makes me happy facebook hasn't put on a thumbs down. I also generally don't see people use angry reaction on there when it's a friend posting but do on news, companies etc.

Haha. It was months before my Mom drove with me when I was learning! My Dad took the reigns and I practically gave him a heart attack on multiple occasions- including the first time I drove out of the neighborhood and he FREAKED about how I was holding the steering wheel making me immediately pull over and I had to tell him about the “new” way the Driver’s Ed teacher had taught me to drive. Oy, those days were rough on us all but that must be a TERRIFYING time as a parent!
