Yeah, he's got like 150k I thinkThat seems plausible and yes, still the 1000 point increments. I guess DH has more than 100k you want to transfer? Otherwise, you could just go from IL's right into yours. The bummer is you have to call to do it. Wonder if you could get a cool rep that'd do it all at once on a group phone call![]()
So no spouse/household restriction... so theoretically we could send some of DHs into each of the ILs accounts to pick up their now orphaned Bonvoy points and then send them on again to pool everything in my account? Going with the assumption you must transfer in even 1000 increments. ILs have like 3k and 5k points currently.

Just be aware that there's supposed to be a $10 fee for transferring points unless you're a Bonbon Gold Elite member or higher.
I also looked recently to see what the transfer fee was and never could find anything on marriott’s site.Do you know where that's listed now? It's not with the Share your Points section, where I thought it was shown clearly before, and I couldn't find it elsewhere on the Marriott site when I was looking today. (but the site sucks for trying to get actual information so I'd not be surprised if I missed it) No fees in general are mentioned in the T&C either.

When I did a bing/Google search I came across a comment or two from 2019 on blog posts that mentioned people were told there's no fee now. Otherwise all the results were blog posts from various times last year discussing the change and the fee... but the search results didn't pull up anywhere on the current Marriott site that shows a fee. Was this the quietest positive change ever on Bonblah? Or is it so buried that even phone reps don't know/don't care about it now?![]()

My Mom had her first CIP sit at 30 days for over 2 weeks, patience grasshopperBah my CIP2 has been waiting at 30 days since 6/3. The suspense is killing me. Approve it or deny it, just please make a decision.
You could get the SPG Lux (AmEx Brilliant) card but otherwise, yes, you're locked out of the Chase cards until 2020. But if you get the Brilliant then you'd push out the Chase date again.I want to make sure I have this right. I got an SPG Biz in January 2018, so I am locked out of ANY Bonvoy bonus until January 2020?

@WVMomof3 I'm going to add that if the flight is cancelled or there is a major schedule change and you want a refund if you book with UA miles you'll get your refund back as UA miles giving another very small edge to URs if the comparison price is close. Not sure if you got an answer, but yes, I always compare the points required for a United flight on the UR portal vs. an award flight directly with United. If I have to transfer UR to UA, then it becomes a 1:1 comparison. And if booking through the UR portal costs about the same or fewer points, I'll book with UR points because, as you already know, it's treated as a revenue flight and you'll earn miles on it. Transferring UR>UA, then redeeming UA miles for award flights won't earn you any more miles, and you'll be on the hook for the $5.60 security fee and any close in booking fees.
And yes, you can let your DD use your passes.
So I used aavacations for 2 nights at RPR. The rate was $494/night. I paid 98k aa miles. Useaamiles dot com was almost twice as high.I haven't jumped on the grAAvy train yet because we aren't planning any Disney trips for awhile, but all of this chatter about redeeming AA for universal has gotten my attention. I am hoping to do a quick (long weekend) trip in December or January depending on the kids' school schedules and we'd definitely want to stay onsite for the great benefit of the line passes.
I'd been looking at using my UR points for the hotels, but are the AA rates similar? I'm not having much luck searching because I don't have an account with any points, but if point for point they are similar, it might be worth getting a couple of those cards to save my UR points for other things.
This plan is a few months out though because i just got the Barclay Arrival + for P1 and P2 so will have those MSRs after I get done with my CIP2 spend.
