I found that using Facebook Messenger to contact Hyatt works awesome. I’ve used it to add names to a reservation (we used our free anniversary night for friends of ours), confirm a reservation made through a third party website (Expedia, etc.) and also to get points refunded on a cancelled points booking (normally they return automatically but a glitch prevented this one time).

awesome thanks!

I didn't know where to ask...possible it was a mistake b/c it's gone now....(?) just wondering what it was....

I was curious about report so I hit report button on the credit clean up spammer - you hit report and a box comes up asking for details of what report you are making, so I put that the new screen name was advertising. So, whoever reported you would have had to fill out a reason for their report. That doesn't sound accidental unless they were mistaken in who they wanted to report.

OMG! I I legit crack up I cry every time I see the country bear show. Especially the "all the guys that turn me on turn me down" part. Im so immature lol

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea they did this. I was also looking to move Ale and Compass breakfast to the Bon Voyage and that wasn't available either. I was worried it was going to be a busy week.
LOL!! Well you aren't the only one. Everyone was cracking up and I was just like I clearly must be missing something. Maybe it was the heat but I just wasn't feeling it :P

Well that sucks, royally! Why should I PIF when it’s not due until beginning of Jan. Do other travel agencies make sure do that when you transfer?

I agree. I can kinda maybe see using your points at time of transfer, if that's a policy I could probably live with that; but paying for the whole booking including cash ? That's too far.

This is the only time I've encountered it, but this was my first time using a points currency. I previously used Discover's agency but because that's cashback it was different. Never had just a regular TA with a cash booking ask, they follow whatever the cruise policy is. Worst you might have a slightly earlier PIF, like a week or so, to account for any unexpected payment delays. It sounded like it wasn't this way before with Chase either, so that's why I'm wondering if it's a change around how Chase changed up their travel portal.

Hitting the MSR on the Arrival+ tonight! Now I can finally switch our main spend over to Hilton. (Hopefully can hit it without moving bills from Arrival too because lazy).

Question- when do you personally pause before a new loan app like a car loan?

That really became a YMMV situation. When I booked mine about this time last year I had to call a few times to get a rep that would do that. There were more reps that insisted that it had to be paid in full at transfer. I actually haven't even spoken to the rep who did my reservation again, I got lucky. I tried emailing him to make a payment and got no response and every time I tried his extension I got dumped into the general queue. He's still listed as the TA on my reservation but I have no idea if he's even there any more. It's not like I needed him for anything, I just made my payments with whoever answered without any problem, but it would have been nice to have a consistent option for future cruises.

Don't know if the change has to do with the split duties of Expedia for online, Connexions for Cruise and not knowing if Connexions is going to be replaced? Or just a more general change of procedures? Or just bad reps? It's kind of inconsistent.
Thanks to you and the other cruise replies....next biggie for me is how do you calculate the cost? So If I find a cruise I like on NCL,lets call it $1000- how much would I be spending in UR for that cruise if I called in to transfer it? Like a way to figure out cost with the UR.... (I've got this, right? book at cruise site, make deposit, call chase to transfer it,pay in full using UR?)

just did it- super easy!

Speaking of Hyatt...it’s Hyatt day on Daily Getaways. Trying to decide if I try for any or not. 3 hours to decide...

I was hovering over it at 1pm but didn't click it because I decided I wouldn't use the points before next year so no need to tie up bucks in points I could get next year. At 1:03 I clicked to see what the status was (no intention to buy) and ALL 4 offers were in process mode and a few minutes later, all sold out. So these deals are no longer a hidden secret - I bought from the first sale 10 years ago and had no problem catching anything except Universal Tickets which I did get back then but only because we had more than 1 computer trying.

:scared: hmmmmmm I guess I should be watching my virtual reality back:bitelip:

so..... is there usually a cutoff date to transfer? and Chase now requires PIF when doing so?

Divide the cost by how much your URs are worth. CSR 1.5cpp = .015
If you're transferring, make sure to subtract your cash deposit first.
$1000/0.015 = 66,667 URs

Delta credit card caution: I realized today when DoC wrote up the new DL offers different people are generating different support link offers even through the special link. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure the link you’re using is for the offer you want (I’ve seen differences in points, MQMs and spends)

I do- (100000/1.5)*100 = 66667 URs for the CSR

If you have the CSP, change the 1.5 to 1.25

Got all the offers on the wrong card. Want them on my Lux card so I can put some spend. Got 2 MGM offers now on my old Optima. Probably because that's where my spend has been going, that and the Gold.
Did you try the amex connect site where you can choose to add an offer to a specific card? One of the mgm offer is on there.

Did anyone try for the Daily Getaways Hyatt points? Did anyone successfully purchase points? I played with the idea, but I couldn't be at my computer at 1 pm ET. Besides, I figured they'd be snapped up in a second by bots.

All these CIP approvals has me feeling so antsy! T-H-R-E-E more days before I can apply for DH! The 3 months has felt like it's crawled, lol.
So, is the 3 month wait the typical recommendation for cip#2? One of the dp's on the cip write-up on dischurners is 63 days. Has anyone gone for cip#2 before 3 months?

I wouldn’t pause before something small like a car loan. The only loan I’ve seen people plan churning activities around was a mortgage.

No, but I got a $100 Marriot gc for $80 the other day which I'm hoping to erase with some remaining arrival points. I read on doc afterward that these sold out fast, so I was excited that I got one.

By the time I remembered, it was already 1:17 pm so I decided not to even look. I have been able to get the SeaWorld tickets the last 3 years. Plan to try Aquatica for the 1st time in a couple of weeks. Although I guess using it at Busch Gardens would have been a better value since the admission costs more than Aquatica.
