MEK, I'm signing on and trying to get caught up. I'm not even halfway through, but thought I should at least come out of lurkerdom! Your pictures are great! Enjoying the report.

Ok.....NOW I want a new camera AND I want to go to Disney!! Mary Ellen, your pictures are beautiful!! You got some spectacular shots on this vacation. :thumbsup2 I was scrapbooking some of mine today and they don't even compare to yours. Thanks for sharing them. :)

Thanks Ishaw! I am so glad that you like the pictures! I love scrapbooking. I have only made one scrapbook and now everything is digital. I'm sure your scrapbook is great!!!!!

Yes, MEK, I'm finally reading your trip report! I'm not very far, but hey, at least I'm trying!

Woot! Nilla's in the house! So glad you decided to stop by. I can't do the mega updates that you do, but I promise to keep this thing going. Plus - I don't have any cute kids to post pictures of.

No fair teasing about the baby without pics... :sad2:

I started to post the baby pics the other night and I accidently deleted them. Then I gave up and went to bed. :sad2:

Your safari pics are absolutely fabulous!!!!! WOW!!!!!! LOVE THEM!

Thanks Melissa. I really had a ton of fun taking them. :thumbsup2

BEAUTIFUL pictures!! WOW! I just don't know what to say. I've never seen that great of stuff on our safari rides! Thank you!

Thanks for the lovely compliment on the pics. I honestly think my pictures turned out better than what I remember seeing. Plus I had a lot of fun taking pics of the other safari jeeps, so it gave the pics a different perspective.

MEK, I'm signing on and trying to get caught up. I'm not even halfway through, but thought I should at least come out of lurkerdom! Your pictures are great! Enjoying the report.

:welcome: Glenbo! So excited to have you join in. I can't imagine that you have much time to read other TR's when you have what appears to be the start of a mega TR yourself.

This is a apology for not posting the Baby G pics. Can you believe that I started an update the other night and I had all the baby G pics in there and then I accidently deleted the whole darn thing. Uggggghhhhhhh! I couldn't bear it -so I went to bed.

Last night I worked on making a youtube video. I have soooooooooooooooo many pictures (as you well know) and I have been putting them together to make a slide show in imovie. Then I am adding my own original music from garage band. Yes - it is all religious music, because that's what I do. Last night I got totally sucked into this slide show with pictures of two of the local mission chapels near my home. I posted it to youtube. They are mostly outside pics, but I also had the honor of taking pictures inside one of the mission chapels. I am not entirely sure if that's considered public domain and I'm not sure if I should have posted those pics. There are some very old statues and artifacts.

Here's the thing - making a you tube video on the mac is so darn easy. I had NO idea. It is completely idiot proof. O got really sucked into it and I think I found a new hobby. Now I just need some music to go along with my Disney pictures!

Anyway - I do plan to post a link to my you tube videos, but I want to wait until I get to a certain part of my TR. You'll see soon how it ties together.

Be back soon!

Again - I apologize for the Baby G delay. So without further adieu I will post pictures of this marvelous little creature.

This next one is my absolute favorite. It's probably my favorite picture of the whole trip:

Aaaahhhhhhhh! He/She is soooooooooo cute!

Hundreds of thousands of visitors passing you everyday - oohing and aahing - and completely undisturbed. Great life!

I love how the mom carries her baby.....

I tried not to hog the whole window taking pictures. Sometimes I get a little overly enthusiastic about taking pictures and before I know it I am in someone's way. When I felt like I had taken enough pictures I moved on to take some pics of the grand daddy gorilla. He was certainly strutting his stuff......

My coworker had to go all the way to Africa to get pictures like this. Personally, I prefer the AK.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with this trail. I tend to omit the trails because I always think its going to be too hot. But the trail was pleasant and there was plenty of shade. It was a really enjoyable trek.

The waterfalls are so artfully constructed on this trail.....

After we had our fill of gorillas for one afternoon we decided to head back to the lodge. It was time for our afternoon break. We stop for a few more photos on the way out.......

The plan was a nap vs pool break and then we agreed that we would head back into the AK in time to see FOTLK. It was a late emh that evening and there was a 6pm show. There was also a show starting around the time we were leaving the party but no one wanted to stick around and see it. That ended up being a poor choice, as you will see.

Back at the villa I decided to chill at the quiet pool. Chuck and Cathy napped and I'm not sure what Denny did. I was still pretty bummed that I had started the Flagyl because that meant NO POOL DRINK! Uggghhhhh! But the Evil D had completely been eradicated with only 2 doses of Flagyl and it was time for dose # 3.

OffTopic Update - In case you are wondering what happened with the Evil D after i got home. Well....I thought I had started to relapse once again while I was still on the Flagyl so I called me GI doctor and he really thought the problem was that my intestinal flora was all screwed up. He recommended that I take a probiotic by the name of Align. It's the same probiotic as that in Activia yougurt, but its stronger. It's the only probiotic that had been shown in research studies to actually improve IBS symptoms.

The Result ------- Align is Amazing!!!!!!! I'll put my little plug in for it now. If you, or any one you know, suffers from IBS sx - gas, bloating, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, or any combination of the above, they would love this stuff. I swear by it. First of all, no Evil D relapses and 2nd - No IBS symptoms. Seriously, this stuff is great!!!!!! I can eat whatever I want and I never get gas or bloat anymore. It's got to be better than any IBS drug on the market because its all about intestinal flora balance. It anyone tries it and has good results, let me know. It only takes a couple days to notice the difference.

Ok - infomercial over. Back at the pool I really don't remember how much time I stayed there. Denny eventually came out to join me and then we headed back to the villa to shower and get ready. Our plan was to be IN the car by 5:30pm and on our way back to AK.

We actually got there in record time. Just one small, minor problem. Someone left their room key (for emh) in the room. Who might that someone be? You probably only need one guess.....Yup, you got it - the Denster.

Here's how we roll. I always carry that yellow thing- a- ma- jig around my neck. I keep our AP's, room tickets, and DVC card in there. Well, Denny's roomkey never made it back after the pool.

So you do you think was to blame for the missing room key - Yup, you guessed it - ME! Suddenly, it was totally my fault that HIS card was in the room. This ticked me off and I had a bit of a minnie meltdown. I told Denny he had to go back and get his card, but since he technically couldn't drive the car (the whole no license thing) he needed Chuck. I was really hoping Chuck would just say, "you and Cathy go to FOLTK and Denny and I will go back".

But that didn't happen. After being the FP runner for 3 days I guess I was expecting too much. What EV.....so Denny and i trekked back to the car to head back to the WL. I was pretty irritated because I wanted to be in the park AND I wanted to see FOLTK. Chuck called us as we were leaving and told us that guest services would replace the card. I guess I knew all along I should have gone to GS, but I wasn't thinking completely clearly. So we turned around and went back to the park and straight to GS. We missed FOTLK, but we were in the park by 610pm.

And just as we starting walking into the park which Diser do you think I got a text from???????

Up next.... A Dis meet, evening EE, and a lovely dinner at Saana!

Oh the baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The baby, the baby!

Seriously, those pictures made my night. Jeff's too! We oohed and aahed!

How is it possible that when someone else forgets something, WE are to blame?

:confused3

I was so disappointed in March that we missed seeing the baby! Thanks to you beautiful pictures I feel like I've seen her up close :goodvibes

Those baby pictures are amazing!!! What luck that you saw her just fast asleep in the straw!!! You know, I wasn't really planning on doing the walking trails when we are there, but you just changed my mind!

Looking forward to the youtube videos!

The baby is SO sweet :lovestruc I'm sorry you missed FOTLK...Denny, Denny, Denny :sad2:

Hmm...a Dismeet  That must be exciting!

What breathtaking pictures of the baby!!!! I did get a glimpse of her in May but not up close...she is just so beautiful!!

Like the pictures in front of Mt. Everest

Ughh to Denny losing the room key...I would have had a small meltdown too!!!

YAY a DISMEET!! Can't wait!!!

What wonderful baby pics!!!

Oh the forgotten key, we have gone to GS a couple of times due to this! They are simply wonderful!

Those are precious pictures of the Baby G! How cute. :cutie:

I'm glad you have found a medication that works for you. :thumbsup2

Denny, Denny, DENNY! What are we going to do with him? :scared:

Awwww, such sweet pictures of the baby gorilla! :goodvibes

Sorry you missed out of FOTLK, it's such a great show. :sad2:

Even before I read her post above, I was going to guess that your DIS meet was with Katie - I knew she was going to EMHs that night, assuming that she didn't drink too many margaritas earlier in the day that is........

Oh my...that baby gorialla is just too adorable for words. Dennis, Dennis, Dennis--what are we going to do with you? ;) I'm sorry you missed FOTLK; we've never seen it and I keep saying one of these trips we're going to make it there before it disappears.

I have a Canon Rebel too and am a little nervous about taking pics at Disney after seeing some that people have put on here that are absolutely amazing! I've never done night shots before and don't know how well that will go :goodvibes

My 13 y/o son has ADD. It took years of counseling and erratic behavior patterns to finally get a diagnosis. My DH and I had to "persuade" his teachers and doctor that something was wrong and it was not just normal defiant behavior that he was exhibiting. When he was finally put on Straterra for the ADD and Lexapro for the anxiety and depression, he totally turned around. I can honestly say, I could not remember seeing him laugh before. He turned from an angry kid whose mind was constantly "clouded" into a happy kid who can actually remember things now and enjoy life. I never wanted my child on medication either but there are some kids who need it. Good luck with your child. I hope you see as much improvement as I did with mine.
