As you probably recall, Denny left his room key IN the room and it was an EMH night, so we really needed that room key. While Denny was at guest services acquiring a new room key, I was taking a few pictures....... (for a change..lol)
And what's a light fixture without more editing........
While I was taking pictures I got a text from Katie that said she was getting ready to ride Dinosaur. I thought it might be fun to get over there in time to surprise her getting off the ride.
I took a few more pictures before I headed in that direction....
I actually don't remember if I took the TOL pictures before we left the park in the afternoon. If so, then they are out of order in photobucket.
Denny stopped to use the restroom over near dinosaur, but I kept walking in to the exit hoping I could get there in time to see Katie. I hung out for a bit and then realized I missed her. A picture from my trip over to dinosaur.....
Katie texted me again that she was out near Primevil whirl....on a bench.....I walked around in a big circle and I still couldn't find her.

OK - I was feeling like a dork now. I knew that Tracy was hear too, but where the heck where they.........
Oops.....I almost tripped over them. There they were, sitting on a bench.
Tracy still had her "slushy - lushy" tag. How I wanted one of those!!!! But I presently did not qualify!
Once we chatted for a minute or too I realized that Denny was missing. I tried to give him directions to find us, but he ended up over in Asia with Chuck and Cathy (who were now finished watching FOTLK).
Katie, Tracy and I rode the primevil whirl. I enjoy this ride, but I always think the line should mover MUCH FASTER!
Next up - EE. We headed in the direction of Asia. Here's where I had another DOH moment. I was really looking forward to riding EE at night. Seems that I miss most of AKs EMHs because I go on "short trips". It can be difficult to catch EE on a 4 or 5 night trip. I was so happy that I finally was in the world for a late EMH. (I did manage to hit one last June, but we didn't ride EE cause we thought it might be too scary for LJ. If you read that TR, you know how how wrong I was about that!)
For some reason I thought tonight's EMH would include some "dark" time. It did not. DOH.....EMH was from 5 - 8pm and it was May!!!!! It doesn't get dark by 8pm in May. Double DOH! What the heck was I thinking?
So, EE, "the dark ride", will just have to wait until September. It should certainly be dark by 8pm in September!!!!!!!
We had met up with Chuck, Cathy, and Denny by this point. Being the good tour guide I am (you must admit - I have been doing a pretty stellar job), I realized that there wasn't much time left in the park and that Cathy and Chuck had not seen Bug's Life. I made an executive decision to go there and I was pretty happy that Katie and Tracy wanted to go, too. You have to admit - even though I am sure we all have done Bug's Life a zillion times, it is nice to experience a first timer's reaction to the creepy crawly ending.
After Bug's Life it was almost park closing time. Katie and Tracy had an ADR at Jiko and Chuck,Cathy, Denny, and I were going to Saana. But not before we got a Dis group shot......
I've got photopass shots, too but I am need of a major photobucket upload.
So....off to dinner we go. I was really looking forward to Sanaa, especially since I finally learned how to pronounce it properly from listening to Ellen say it. But I was bummed that there would be no African wine pairings for me.
We arrived right on time after winding our way through the Kidani underground parking (eewwhh - hate that parking lot). We were offered a seat at the bar. I just stood over to the side, because staring face to face with that many bottles of alcohol was causing me to have an anxiety attack. Fortunately we were quickly seated and we ordered the bread for an appetizer.....
Can I just say that this bread was DE - LI- CIOUS!!!!!! What yummy goodness. I can't believe what dips we got, but they were all heavenly. So far I was really loving Sanaa.
Because I would NOT be drinking (in case anyone still had any doubt), I ordered a smoothie.......
I must refer to allearsnet for the actual type, but it was really good.
Dinner for Cathy and I was the sustainable fish. I remember Ellen saying how much she enjoyed hers. It was an Atlantic chard in a broth a vegetables. It was so wonderfully flavorable. Ellen was 100% correct. This entree was super delicious and I regret that I do not have a picture to show you.
Dessert was next. And did you know that Sanaa actually includes Coffee with their dessert - no charge? How cool is that? We were all thankful for a little caffiene because our full bellies were making us long for a villa in Kidani as opposed to a trek back to WL.
Here are a couple of our dessert choices.....
I also took some pictures of the restaurant.....
We were one of the last few tables with customers at 10pm. A CM manager even came by to ask us how our meal was. We said it was our new most favorite restaurant and that we would definitely be back!
Here is my smoothie:

What I didn't have.....
Sanaa Wine Story
Each food item on the menu is paired with a specific food friendly wine. In some cases there is more than one wine listed. The wine which is listed at the top is regarded as the most favored match. However, everyone's palate is unique and therefore there are additional wines suggested which work equally well in the pairing. We have created some special wine flights for you to enjoy from an assortment around the world. These flights highlight unique components and style which best compliment the flavors contained within each dish.
Dinner was definitely a winner. Closer to a signature restaurant than many of the other places to eat. Really great food, great wait staff, and beautiful surroundings.
We rolled out of there. We had considered going to the Jambo House for a quick tour and possibly some night vision animal viewing, but we were all just too darn tired.
So we went to the savannah outside of Kidani. There wasn't much to see but the fire pit:
The last few pictures I took when we got back to WL. We walked back with our drink mugs and stopped outside to admire the waterfall:
Up Next.....Did I work up the nerve for an American Idol Audition?
