After reading the post about the other Disney site be shut down
I guess it not all fun and games, the behind the scene running of this large web site is a lot of work.

Thanks again for a wonderful place, where I can visit, feel at home and know there is a wonderful group of people working to keep it that way.

You know, if you're ever feeling a little unhappy with the DIS, try posting on some other boards.

You may find (as I did) that this is simply one of the nicest boards with the most wonderful posters that you ever could hope for.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Beauty is the person that brought the problem from the other board to here, not the posters at the other board.

Actually Brenda, you are wrong.

Originally, Beth posted about some mean-spirited things that were apparently being said about her on another board (told to her by a so-called friend, but not much of a "friend" if you ask me). She was looking for support here because she was hurt and angry. But it was others from the board who really "brought" the problem here. The board was not named (we don't allow that) and we don't want problems with any other board.
Enough said on that topic and if it continues to be discussed, I will delete the posts.

Gee I thought I made myself clear that the posts bringing it up again would be deleted. I forgot that the board was named, I didn't think in the original it was.
The topic of that situation is closed and if you want to email me and discuss with a pissed off WM with a migraine, take your best shot.

Truth be told, I've always thought my job as a moderator is a pretty easy one. I get fun people to talk to and hang out with, and 99% of the people here act like grown ups so its not a difficult thing keeping people on track. When people do choose to act juvenile, its usually the Webmasters, Cathy Canada in particular, who deal with it. She is the one with the tough job. Its just one of the reasons we love her so much, our Mama Cub.

This community is a really special one though, isn't it! I just feel so close to most people here, and even though I've only met a few in person, I feel like most of you are friends very close to my heart.

You know, I've said it before and I'll say it again--any discussion board is only as good as the people who post on it.

Maybe it's due to the magic of Disney, but the DIS just attracts the nicest posters.
