My fellow disers I am sad to announce I've found my army wife limit and today is a day or mourning.

Let's recap the past several years:

7 years of marriage
umpteen thousands of days apart
a car accident
a tornado
my MIL
picky girl..we can't forget her!
tons of crazy spouses and incidents I'll never forget
a move to D.C.
pneumnoia 2x!
my bedroom ceiling caving in on valentines during a rain storm

I am sad to announce I have found my limit. I thought I was better than this but I'm not. Digging my car out of the snow at 0630 in the dark is my limit!!:mad::mad: Okay to be honest digging my car out of snow at anytime is my limit and possible 20 inches more this weekend.... I better be getting some good, very good for valentines day:rotfl: for every inch of snow I have to suffer through since this past Saturday until I see him again it's an additional $50...pretty soon I"ll be getting something in a tiffany bag:laughing:

I'm so over winter...:headache:

Oh sweetie! #1 and #2 on your list are enough for a hell of a good gift!!

And I am SO out of the loop....I totally thought that this DC move....Matt was DONE. What is going on??

Hi Lisa! I haven't seen you in forever. I hope you and your family are doing well.

Matt's in GA for the next 4-6 months. He left in Novemeber but was able to make it home for Christmas so we are blessed. I told him naturally he moves me here and then go away for the first winter here:mad:;)

 Sorry you had to do that alone.

I am still trying to decide which was my limit. I think it was the water heater tank pouring buckets of water in the house and having no shut off valve. Of course, hubby was on a 6 month cruise.

Oh do I feel your pain. Of course, I grew up digging out of the snow, so that wasn't my Wife Limit. I'm going to have to think on that one. There have been so many *wonderful* things that have happened while he's been away. Moving here has pretty much been the worst thing ever, so that could be it. :scared:

I think your Valentines present needs to be a week long gettaway to somewhere warm. :goodvibes

I'd go on the DCL website, find the cruise you want to take and then email it to Matt along with a picture of you clearing off the car, in the dark !!! Nothing like a sunny, warm destination to cheer you up!!! :thumbsup2 And nothing like a picture to instill guilt. :goodvibes

I feel your pain. If it makes you feel any better, I get to clear off my car at 5 a.m. to get to work on time. You've got my sympathy.

OOh, good idea. Plane tickets in a Tiffany bag! :goodvibes

I'm sorry - snow is pretty in a picture. In real life it's a drag.

Poor thing!! That's awful. I *hate* shoveling snow. I, at least, waited until 9:30 (I'm "teleworking" today). My son did it the other day and it really triggered his asthma so I figured I would do my duty today. Luckily, it was a "push" type snow so I didn't have to do the heave-ho lifting.

How did your job interview go?

Oh I remember picky girl. What ever happened to her?

I hate snow too, glad I am Southern now.

Oh Tina! :grouphug: Did you get to the job interview? (wasn't that today?)

I'm sorry you are having a tough time, Tina. I like the idea of picking out a cruise for the two of you when your dh gets home.

By the way, I love your "proud Army wife" message on your signature. :grouphug: Many of us our so thankful to our service men and women, and their families.

I'm fed up with the snow. I'm actually seriously wishing I'd gone to visit my friends in Baton Rouge for a week, I'm not looking forward to this weekend. We don't have a snow shovel and I doubt the store is going to have any. We need to go on base tomorrow and get some shopping done.. ugh. Someone please come help me out! I can't shovel snow, I can't haul laundry around, I can't do anything useful!

This winter has been enough to put anyone over their limit. Hang in there Tina:)

LOL, the limit for my tour as an Air Force wife was when I ended up in a ditch in the snow in Massachusetts while my spouse was on temporary duty in sunny and warm Las Vegas. It was my first time ever seeing snow and I had to drive home from work in it with no experience in how to do that. On top of that, when these two young men stopped to help me, I first had to endure several minutes of ridicule over my southern accent and how I obviously didn't have any business driving in snow (like I didn't already KNOW that).

Hang in there Tina.

Not a military wife, but I can sympathize with the snow hatred! I am bracing myself for a miserable month. I knew it would be a bad winter after we had snow in December (and 22" at that!). After years and years of practically nothing. Now, a 4" snowfall seems cute and quaint.

it was never shoveling snow that got to me but the way things always seem to come in waves of problems when they are gone. For example: car repair, water heater breaking, and then catching the flu all in the same week.

Sometimes you just want to scream and move to Hawaii.........

I'm impressed that your MIL only made it to #5! ;)

I'm not a military wife, but my DH does travel a lot for his work, as a matter of fact he just called me a few minutes ago from where you are and asked about the weather here... he is wondering if he will be delayed flying home on Friday.

He did ask the neighbor to help out this week if we get a lot of snow, but I will try and do as much as I can on my own. Our problem right now is that we have gotten so much snow since Christmas and it has been so cold that it is all still here. So, basically we have nowhere to go with it anymore. I cannot throw it high enough to go on top of the piles we have. DH even said it was getting too high for him to throw when he uses the shovel!

I would suggest a trip somewhere warm as well, maybe he can meet you for a long weekend soon!

Oh Tina, I am sorry that you reached you limit, I really am but you made me chuckle today. I had forgotten Picky Girl and that one was a doozy!
