I have finally found my wife limit

I'm so over winter...:headache:

OMG ME TOO!!!! I'm about 2 hours south of you and I've HAD it. Kids are STILL out of school and more snow this weekend. Really? R U kidding me? Oh, and, my DH works in NJ and only comes home every other weekend so I do all the digging out by myself too. OVER IT!!! Bring on summer!

I still vividly remember when I hit my Navy Wife limit.

My grandfather passed (my extended family didn't handle it well at all)
Someone called social services on me
My son had a major, face swelling to twice it's size, allergic reaction to some unknown something (fortunately this was after the social worker visited)
I broke my glasses, rendering myself unable to drive
Both the kid and I got a nasty tummy bug and spent 3 days on a friends couch.

By the time my husband got home I was D-O-N-E. Then, I got over it. :rotfl:

I can't imagine - you are way more superwoman than I am! I've only been away from dh a few days in 15yrs (in fact I can't even think of when last we were apart) -

he's worked night shift before & that's kept me from sleeping - that's the closest thing to being without a dh

I can NOT imagine going thru all you military wives have to go through. I'm a wimp & scardeycat. I don't like to be alone

And then to add snow on top of all that?:headache: I thik I'd be moving back in with my mommy...

Here's my rules for my military DH. We live in snow country too.

MY car goes in the garage. His goes in the driveway.
We live in a condo and they plow the driveways & shovel the sidewalks.

I don't shovel! Even when he's not home, I don't have to shovel. Condo does it all. ;)

You need to move to a condo with a garage that plows and shovels.

 Tina, I remember my limit as an Army Wife.....it was a LOOOONG time ago.
We'll celebrate 20 years in November

Hang in there hunny

Thanks to your DH for his service and of course your family for the sacrifices you make while he is serving. My family appreciates you and yours!

I think I've hit my limit now. DH's work is saying he may have to stay in the barracks over the weekend so that he can make it to work if there's an emergency. Seriously.. he has a pregnant wife at home who can't shovel snow and doesn't have a car if there's an emergency. Ugh. Hopefully they let him just stay home tomorrow.

I have been shoveling a bit too... car is in the garage but I have to shovel the driveway as when we moved snowblower went bye bye...Hubby is deployed and I am doing everything. He was gone for a month before he left permenently as well and I seemed to be ok, but with him gone for a LONGGGGG time it is pretty hard.

Sorry to bring this up but...more snow is expected this weekend, and this time it is supposed to be really bad.

I remember my mom reaching her Marine wife limit. I had the chicken pox and was throwing up and my brother was a teeny tiny newborn while my dad was gone. I had never seen her cry before!

Hang in there.

:hug:We used to live in Stafford and hardly saw in all our time living there the snow you've seen just this winter. I can't imagine dealing with as much as you've all gotten by yourself.
When we lived there we had many military friends and as much as my DH travels, it can't compare to the support you military families give to your loved ones! Your sacrifices can't be honored enough! With that said, it still stinks to deal with all you have.
If you can deal with Picky Girl (I so remember! :)) you can deal with snow! You can shovel snow up and scoop it away! ;)

Is it possible some GS Lemon Chalet Cremes would make you just a little sunnier? My DD's GS troop just ordered a bunch extra that they collected for the troops...don't you qualify for that?

Hang in there!

Oh Sweetie, I hope things look up. I can't believe you just moved to DC and Matt's in GA. Not fair. GA's not THAT far away. He should get his butt in the car and come home for a day or two! :)

Is there a neighbor kid you could bribe to shovel for you? I think you've gotten more snow than we have here in Maine!
