I have finally broken the weight barrier

My youngest daughter was having some blood pressure problems. 9 1/2 months later she has dropped over 40 pounds, is in a size 6 and now has normal blood pressure and eats healthy.

I must get back on Atkins and SOON.....my life is hectic now (moving and packing!!) and I am feeling yecky and gaining weight because I am not eating correctily!!! I need to lose about 20 lbs and seeing that you lost over 75 is surely an inspiration.

glo - I am so proud of you! You have been a source of inspiration for me for some time now. When I started the Atkins way of eating earlier this summer... I mentioned it in a post and you provided great support to me. Affirming I was doing the right thing (even though I already knew it!) and I felt like I had a friend here who not only was supportive - but was a living breathing role model of how it should be done.

Seeing your pictures makes me want to just hug you for joy.

(by the way... I have lost 20 lbs since starting 7/28/02 and my blood pressure and cholesterol work has shown DRAMATIC improvement - this way of life works and I am in it for life now- MY LIFE)

Glo, I thought you looked so different when I saw your picture in your signature with your girls, than you did when I met you at the August 2001 CC meet. I said to myself, "geez, Glo looks beautiful in this picture", not to say that you weren't already cute, but something in that picture looked so different. I had no idea you were trying to lose weight. What an accomplishment!! You should be so proud of yourself. It is so hard to lose weight, yet so easy to gain it. If not for anything else, it is a major thing in term of health problems. I am so happy for you.

I have been doing low carb since 6/17/02 and am feeling better than I ever have! It's going SLOW but I went from 247 to 225 and am heading in the right direction. I am 5'2'' and my goal is 139 -- I have a way to go to get there.
