I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

Six things in four hours - I would think you'll be okay. Depends on the crowds and Fastpasses, I guess. You are going all over the park, for sure. Glad you got that extra hour. For me, I could scratch Everest, since I am not a fan , but that's one that most people race to. I wish I could be there to snag a Fastpass and hand it off to you!

Dinosaur is usually a walk-on for us. Maybe it's our timing or just luck.

The last safari of the day is sometimes pretty good, as you can see them beginning to call the animals in. It can also be bad, if some of the animals have already left. It's a toss up.

Thanks MeMom!

Hey Memom!!!! We are arriving on the 4th and leaving on the 9th!!! Which halloween party are ya'll going to???? I hope we get meet this time!!!!! pixiedust::cool1:

I will be on the look out for you! We arrive the evening of the 13th. Bummer about your daughter! We'll look for that cast around Jambo and at the party too!

Sadly, no, we won't arrive until pretty much evening on Saturday. since we're driving, we know it will take a good 24 hours (not including any weather issues) and we can't leave here until at least 4 p.m Friday at the earliest. So I'm sad that I will miss out on memom and the gang and the POP meet!
But we are going to the MNSSHP on Tuesday as well! So I hope we can meet there!

Hope you guys get to meet...and be sure to share a picture with us! Sheree, I really hate that we are missing each other. :(

Thanks MeMom!

Just my opinion. It will be interesting to see how the day really pans out.

We are going to the party on the 8th. We'll be in AK that day. Other than that, I don't know where we will be yet. Probably Magic Kingdom. We will let you know. We will make a meet work. :thumbsup2

I am all caught up! :) I was away at TIFF for the weekend!

Looks like lots of fun was had at MK and AK! :goodvibes I love the new circus theme! I'm excited to see it all in person! And your safari pictures were so great! I love the giraffes and gorillas! The picture of Brooklynn (super spinner!) resting on the teacups is so cool! I have to say I love super spinning too but I am too lazy to spin the wheel - I am on vacation and that means no manual labour! ::yes::

We were planning on going to MNSSHP on Sunday...but who knows what the weather will be like. Seems like all of our disfriends will be there Tuesday.

If some of you recall, earlier in the year I asked for prayers for a friend of my brothers, who lost potions of all 4 limbs in Afghanistan. He is recovering incredibly well; today, his story was on Yahoo, Glamour, and he was called by producers of the Ellen show as well as Inside Edition. The Yahoo article is here; http://m.yahoo.com/w/legobpengine/n..._host_hdr=news.yahoo.com&.intl=US&.lang=en-US

Thank you again everyone for all the prayers - I so believe in the power of prayer!! I think our little community is so wonderful that as MeMom has said, we can share our joys AND sorrows. :)

Fabulous story. I'm so glad that his life if progressing and he has been blessed.

We are also going to the party on the 8th!!!! Sounds good I think I gave you my phone number before but if you need it again just let me know!!! Hard to believe it is only 2 weeks away!!!!!! :cool1:

So I just spent the better part of two days catching up on this entire TR. I loved seeing both of your older grandgirls rock their ponchos during those wet early days of your trip. I was delighted to hear of Sophie's arrival and then nervous/prayerful to hear of Jill's scare and joyful to hear she was on the road to recovery. To top all of that off I discovered towards the end that my Disneymoon with my DH falls almost on exactly the same dates as your upcoming trip! We will be at POFQ from the 5th through the 11th. I hope you have a wonderful upcoming trip with your beautiful family!princess:

Maybe we will be seeing you around!

Long time lurker of these trip reports and was thrilled to find out that we are going to be in WDW at around the same time(the 3rd to the 11th). Hope to see you around and is you see a blonde girl with two cupcakes on the backs of her legs followed by sulking guy with glasses...that's me and feel free to say hello!

Brooklynn used to be okay with just spinning as the Teacups spin anyway, without helping them along. Now that she thinks she such a big shot with all of her thrill rides, she likes to be a super spinner.

We love seeing the animals up close. That's certainly something different than what happens in real life. ::yes:: It's interesting to watch the meerkats look from side to side, ever watchful, and it's funny to see a tiger all sprawled out on his back, paws up in the air. We love watching all of the animals.

I hope the weather ranges from high 60's to low 80's every day. That would be my order. I hope all of the parties are good ones with no rain. :thumbsup2

Heartwarming to read about the loyal girlfriend and the supportive community. :goodvibes

I will check the private messages, but it won't hurt for you to send it again, and I'll send you ours. Maybe we can hook up to watch the parade or something.

Also, see message below with the next two posts.

Welcome to both of you! :welcome:

Do you know your schedule for the 8th? If you are in Animal Kingdom, maybe you could come by Tusker House as we get ready to check in. I'll ask Jill what time our ADR is. Lauren, are you in AK on the 8th, by any chance? It's always fun to meet a big group of DIS people when the opportunity is there.

A sulking guy? We've been known to have one of those with us a few times. When he gets hungry or tired, sometimes there is some sulking. Once he is rested and/or filled up, though, he does fairly well.

Next, we went out to Rafiki's Planet Watch. I will never ride the train out there again without remembering that it was where we learned that Joan was going to die. I wish I could forget it, but it makes me sad every time I see the train or think about that December ride. Joan's birthday was last Friday. I thought of her all week long.

Off the train, the girls know that the first stop is for pictures with the elephants. We will add Sophie to the elephant pictures this trip.

Did you guys see the story of Oscar?

We have a lot of these around here. I don't think they live as good a life as this guy does, though.

That's it for now. Enjoy your evening!

I've never done Rafiki's Planet Watch before. It looks really great for younger school aged kids.

It is.
And this 55 year old kid likes it, too. Maybe I like it more than the average person, since I am a teacher. I love places, events, etc. that allow kids to learn in a fun way. Every time I go to Animal Kingdom and Epcot, I think how much I would love to get my students there. They would go nuts!

Finishing out our time at Rafiki's...

This is me when I retire and go to work at AK.

June2012Part1743.jpg

I'm not sure about the story behind this. I will have to do some research.

June2012Part1744.jpg

The girls love, love, love their animal friends, and they are always on the hunt for new ones.

My little one has never been a big fan of Rafiki's Planet Watch. Your girls always seem to have such a great time there, we will have to give it another try, although I don't know if we'll have time on our next trip :)

More colorful and unique animal art pieces.

Next time:
Jill gives a certain place a second chance.
Does it redeem itself...or not?

 for memories of Joan at Rafiki's.

I LOVE the different AK merchandise...ironic because it's my least-favorite park! But the different animal beadings and carvings are gorgeous!

Great pictures of Rafiki's Planetwatch! I've been to AK 4 times, but only managed to make it there once.

Do you guys have one of these yet? I spotted this on Pinterest and think we will be making one in the future to hold all of our "friends"

I needed a shopping trip this morning! I bet Bella got a mingo beaded animal.

I still haven't made it to Rafiki's and see a procedure. Always have good intentions but never make it on time.

So sorry that the train ride was such a sad one.

Anxious to hear what Jill gives a second chance....:scratchin
