I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

A carmel and chocolate cover apple you say? I rarely get a dessert at EPCOT unless it's from France, but that sounds pretty tempting.

LOL about the Ryan Evans comment. I'm not sure that look works for Davey Jones. How cool to see him live though.

Epcot pictures - lovely! My fav is France through the trees taken from IG. I have that same pix on my phone. I also really like the one of the bridge with USA off in the distance!
I love all of the different photo ops Epcot has! I am so looking forward to taking pictures there next month!

Apple - Serious yumminess!
It was amazing!

Pick a pearl - love your carriages. They are a beautiful setting for your new pearls. Glad you got to do it. It's fun!
Thank you! It was a ton of fun!

Great update and love all the beautiful pictures. One of my faves was the hanging basket with the background blurred out. LAME pick probably, but I still love it. :rotfl: The Davy Jones pics were hilarious, wow he looks um...different. lol That's ok, we all age haha.
Thank you! I really like that picture too! It's amazing how beautiful Epcot is! Thanks I found them very amusing!

The apple looks SO good! I didn't know they cut them for you, that will be a 'must have' next time for sure! My dd wanted one but what with her being 12 and all, gee someone might have seen her eating it and no way, that would be messy. Wait till I tell her!
It was sooo good! You will definitely have to do that!

The POOH movie was absolutely adorable. The entire theater was all older people/teens, etc until the last 2 minutes before it started, 2 families walked in with little ones. Too funny!! I am not a cartoon lover and I think it was wonderful. We will be buying that one for sure.
I can't wait to see it! I am still trying to talk my mom into seeing that one and my boyfriend into to seeing Cars 2

Sorry to hear Josh is sick!!! You better not catch it now. Well at least he will get it out of his system before Disney. You gals have to make sure he LOVES it so he will keep going back! :lovestruc
He is getting better! It was some sort of sinus infection so thankfully nothing catchy! We have planned everything around the things he showed interest in when we watched a planning DVD so hopefully we get him hooked! Also while we were watching the movie he was already talking about the next time we go :thumbsup2

Yes AAA is a pain, I also use them. They don't really make things simple do they? Hope his car gets fixed by early next week. I can imagine with that storm we had that they are quite busy.
We are supposed to get it sometime in the next two weeks so cross your fingers for us!

Looking forward to hearing what the 3rd park of the day is!! OH and loved the cages for your pearls! So beautiful!!
Thank you! We had such a long day that day!

Looks like a great night at Epcot! That apple sure does look good!

It was a great night! I can't wait to have another one!

You need to try it!!! You won't be disappointed!

LOL about the Ryan Evans comment. I'm not sure that look works for Davey Jones. How cool to see him live though.

Thank you! Yeah it was fun seeing him live but I really didn't get the whole sparkly fedora thing :confused3

Hey Gang! Since our next trip is now less than 5 weeks away, we really need to get moving on this TR! So without further adieu.....

When Caitlin left off we had just been to the less than stellar Davy Jones concert. It was now after 8pm and people were starting to find their spots for Illuminations. We needed to decide what we'd do next.....should we stay for Illumination? Visit another park? Go to SSR and get a good night's sleep since we'd been up since 5am and it was still the day after the race?

Like any crazed Disney fans, we decided sleep could wait and it was on to another park. Our 3rd that day! We grabbed the boat to DHS to take advantage of EMH.

By the time we got there it was getting dark and all the lights were on....

As we neared the Hat we found another concert going on. It was none other than "Mulch, Sweat and Shears" (who would soon become my favorite WDW band) These guys are a lot of fun and really talented! They play a lot of what some might consider "oldies" however I refer to 80's pop as the music of my teen years

I loved the Mickey images on the ground!
disneyday3282.jpg

It seemed to us that these lights were new :confused3 I'm not sure but don't all the parks look great lit up at night?!
disneyday3283.jpg

If you've been on our TRs before you know where we headed first. We made a beeline to one of our very favorite rides in all of WDW.....

On the way over we passed Walt
disneyday3284.jpg

Soon after we arrived at Pixar!
disneyday3285.jpg

Before long we were in a 20 minute line for TSM! You gotta love the short lines at pm EMH! :thumbsup2

Who remembers having a ViewMaster?

How about Candyland?
disneyday3290.jpg

Then we ran into everyone's favorite Potato!

disneyday3135.jpg

Soon we were on the ride and Caitlin beat me  Shouldn't accuracy count for something though?
disneyday3139.jpg

Dale rode solo and beat us both...

***Continued in next post

After TSM it was time for some daddy-daughter rides. So we headed over to ToT. On the way....

Once they were inside they had to take more pics....

Somebody needs to dust this place!

I sat in the lobby/gift shop while they rode which didn't take long since it was a walk on!

It was then time to go cruisin with some old rock stars....

After they returned from their stint as groupies we decided it was time to head back. We were all beat and needed some sleep!

When we got back to SSR, Caitlin took one last pic. Here is the pick of the pins she traded for that day............

disneyday3183.jpg

Cute huh?!
Up next...DTD and a new Dooney

One last thing....I want some opinions. We have been having a hard time deciding on adrs and I have too many. So I want your opinion....we want a nice meal that is very "Disney". I have adrs at LeCellier and Narcossee's the same day. Which would you take a Disney newbie to and why? Thanks for sharing and reading!

Nice that DHS is walk on most rides! I sure hope that will be the case on our Sept visit. I read on some TR that EMH could be hit or miss.
Anyways, love the pins and I would think Narcossee's since I love it! But LeCellier is nice also. LeCellier lunch though.... Since we are on DDP, I would never pay 2TS credits for it.

We find Epcot to be the only park that is really crowded during pm EMH.

I see you'd have a tough time deciding too  Since it's just a quick trip we're trying to book everything with the biggest "wow" factor so it's really tough.

:thumbsup2 Vacays are not for sleeping... at least at Disney!

Nice pics. I don't think I've been in DHS at night. :thumbsup2

Oh where or where could that be??? :rotfl:

I do! :goodvibes

Ummm... am I missing something? The higher accuracy also has the higher score? :confused3

After they returned from their stint as groupies...

:lmao:

Just a suggestion, but how 'bout showing the newbie the menus for both and letting him decide where he'd like to go? Here they are:
Narcoossee's: http://allears.net/menu/menu_nar.htm
Le Cellier: http://allears.net/menu/menu_lcd.htm

If you want me to pick one though, I'd go with Le Cellier. Only because it's in a park and to me, that feels more like being at Disney.
Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

OOPS! So I totally took for granted that I always beat her in accuracy :rotfl: You just had to point that out, didn't you

We're trying to surprise him a little bit so that's why we haven't just shown him the menus. In the planning video he saw SciFi and thought it was really cool so we got an adr there and he wanted to do HDDR so we booked that. So that just leaves one big meal which we want to be the surprise. Thanks for sharing! :)

It is blasphemy to even ask such a question about restaurants!! :scared1:
I make all newbies go to Le Cellier and then I force feed them the filet mignon subbing the mashed potatoes for the risotto.
They do not get a choice. :sad2:
End of story. :snooty:
And so it must be. :thumbsup2
And they shall thank me for it. :worship:
:goodvibes :lmao: :rotfl:

I think I would go to LeCellier. 1. because it is located in Epcot 2. it's vacation and you don't have to dress up Planning dining ADR's is so hard, especially so far out.
We enjoy sci-fi, it is such a nice midday escape in August (cool and dark).
We are trying HDDR. My brother and sister in-law finally convinced my husband to try it, because they raved about it so much.

Great update! I love DHS :) I don't think I've ever done DHS extra magic hours, though! I am always too tired. Oh well! I love seeing the park all lit up at night. I need to go see it in person someday soon!

As for your reservation... ahhh I don't know. Both of those are really good! I have never done Narcoossee's but I am going there for Christmas Eve dinner. I am expecting great things because everyone says it is fantastic!

Although, Le Cellier is really good too! I always enjoy my experience there and the food is delicious.

I don't know... if you want to take the fancier route, go Narcoossee's. If you want to be more relaxed, go Le Cellier. (If it was me... i'd probably go fancy. Just for fun )

I had no idea I was asking such a controversial question  We have only been to LC once, about 8 years ago, and we weren't impressed so we hadn't gone back. Judging by your strong reaction I'm guessing LC really is that good :)

I think we'll stick with LC and on our next trip, which will be longer, visit Narcossee's.

Since everyone seems so pro-LC we are going to go there.

Our DHS day will be fun. We're having lunch at the 50's then, since I couldn't get dinner for 4 at SciFi, Josh and Cait are going to SciFi for dinner and we're going to the Brown Derby. Both couples get a date night :)

I hope you enjoy HDDR :goodvibes

We always find low crowds at DHS pm EMH so you should check it out!

Narcossee's on Christmas Eve sounds wonderful! I am so jealous! :)

You will not be disappointed.
And I'm actually surprised you haven't been there more often.
Like I said, get the filet mignon with the mashed potatoes instead of the risotto.
And you too will dream of that meal until your next visit... :goodvibes

Flower and Garden looks amazing! I grew up listening to the Monkees (my mom loves them) but I think it would be weird seeing a Monkee in concert, if only because there's a certain sound that I associate with them so strongly!

I love the lights at DHS! Nighttime is the best time to go see the parks, in my opinion. Or to ride rides - they always seem way more fantastic/hyperrealistic in the dark!

We will take your word and give it another try :)

We love the Flower and Garden Festival. It really is my favorite time to see Epcot :)

Aren't the parks great at night?! We love it too :)

DHS looks great at night. We didn't stay until dark last year because we went to DHS on our last day, but hopefully sometime soon I'll get to see it all lit up again.

And I believe those lights around the hat are new. I was reading that they had just added them earlier this year.
