I can't pay rack rate!

It's killing me! I decided last minute to take DD on a trip without her sisters this month, but I am too late for discounts. I had a free dining pin that expired on April 30th I tried renting DVC points, but no studios available for any of the weekends in May. I would look off property, but DD is really into theming and riding ME and the buses. Anyone have any ideas

No. I called Disney to ask if they had any AAA discounts and they said no. I read on here that you could book a AAA rate through Disney on room only. I would have joined AAA if there were a discount. I had been thinking about getting a membership anyway.

Call again and speak to someone else. There is a AAA discount available for the entire year except the last two weeks of December. You may have to be flexible with your resort, but you should be able to get a AAA discount.

I would agree with this, I would think there should be an open room somewhere. I would at least try calling again! Good Luck!

Is there a way I can find out what the AP discounts are without actually having an AP? And then do I just book the room and exchange my voucher for an AP at check in? thanks!

You can call CRO and ask if there are AP room rates for your dates and resort. They will tell you the cost. If you want, give the dates and resort you want and I'll look up the AP room rate for you. Are you flexible with your dates and resort?

I just booked a trip in December to the Dolphin through Hotels.com. They are running a special now for Orlando and I saw some of the All Star resorts listed in addition to the Swan and Dolphin.

Thanks! No luck at the All Stars, but the Dolphin does have a great rate of $129 plus 10% off with a hotels.com promo code. That is tempting! Great location; I just wish it had a bit more Disney theming for DD and the magical express.

That is just the summer promotion, the spring promotion is below it. I checked and there are AP rates available every weekend in May except Memorial Day weekend for a Sat-Tues stay. Total would be $280 for the All-Stars and $278 for Pop. POFQ would be $456. If you want Memorial Day weekend, there is availability at CSR in King Room for $496 or WL Courtyard for $797.

The AP does not save you money in the end, but... it sure makes it more fun spending it. Enjoy.
