I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

We can still be friends - just don't breathe or cough in my direction please. :lmao:

I guess if I said I eat tuna every day you guys would not be my friends anymore???:guilty::rotfl:
I do-- a can of plain solid light fillet in olive oil with two cups romaine lettuce and 6 olives. And yes my skin glows.

But I do smell. A tad.

I too adore that pink scarf! I didn't buy any scarves this year...last two years I got one for my mom...I don't know why I never think to get one for me! And I thought the chalk drawers at DTD were AMAZING!!! It reminded of the lost art of Burt from Mary Poppins! "Screever"

Thanks! :goodvibes You should get one for yourself next time! :thumbsup2

Those artists were pretty amazing. I just kept thinking -- all that work and it will be all gone the next time it rains. :scared1:
Happy "less than 7 months" Shelly!

Notice, there are less than 7!

Thanks Sheree -- Love the "6" dancing banana dudes!!! :yay:

We got back to the BWI with just enough time to drop off our packages, clean up, and head to the BC for dinner at Cape May. We had been to Cape May for breakfast once, but never dinner.

We noticed that the boat was nowhere in sight, so we walked over to the BC.

We checked in and were seated right away.

We ordered our drinks and then headed to the buffet. I was a little worried because we are not big seafood eaters. The kids and I don't eat it at all and DH only eats a little of it. But there was plenty of “regular” food and we did not go hungry!

Everything was very good and so was our service. We were very pleased and full!

Total Bill: $104.33
Rating: 4.5 out of 5

It wasn't until we got home and I was going over all the receipts that I realized that DS11 was charged as a child for this meal. When we checked in the hostess had said to me – your reservations says 4 adults, but I see that it's 2 adults and 2 children. I didn't think much of it and just paid the bill with a gift card when it came. So technically this meal would have cost a little more.

After dinner we stopped in the BC gift shop and got a few things. Then walked the long way around and past the YC. Then back to the BWI. We spent a little time on the BW. Then stopped in the little gift shop off the BW lobby, where the kids did a little pin trading.

We just spent the rest of the evening relaxing at the BW. Depression was starting to set in that tomorrow was our last full day.

Up Next: Day 8 – Our last full day at WDW

I can not wait to try Cape May for dinner, someone over on the Beach Club thread posted pics of the buffet and when I seen they had chicken and ribs I knew DH will like it, he is also a lover of calimari. I love seafood so I am thinking of perhaps squeezing Cape May in twice once at the start and once at the end of our trip since it will be right there. What do you think is it worth 2 trips?

I can not believe your TR is almost over, time sure does fly when your at Disney. You know when I added the day I almost added two I checked this am and now the Sat is not available, I could kick myself for not adding it then, ah no problem since if I keep reading how hot and humid the end of September is I will be changeing my ressie again :lmao:

Yes I definitely think going twice would be worth it, especially since you will be staying right there and since you love seafood! :goodvibes You can always make 2 ADR's and if you don't love it the first time you can cancel the second one.

You better not change your ressie again, we would miss you too much on the September thread!! ::yes:: It is going to be HOT, there's no way around it. Just keep telling yourself that the low crowds are going to make up for it. At least that's what I am doing. :rotfl:

Great update! I am trying to get DD19 to try out Cape May when she goes to the Beach Club in March for her birthday/spring break trip. She just switched with her friend to the BC to be close to EPCOT. We might try out Cape May in October. It looks really good!
I cannot believe that you are onto your last free day in your TR! I just love reading it, and you have done a great job!

Great update! Cape May looks delicious. We always say we're going to eat there and then it gets axed in favor of something else. I think I may have to figure a way to add it in our August/September trip since we all love seafood.

Thanks Lauren! :goodvibes How nice that your DD is staying at the BC! She should give Cape May a try. :thumbsup2 So should you!

I know, it is so sad that the TR is almost over. :sad1: I have really enjoyed writing it and sharing everything with you guys. :grouphug:

Thank you! :) You should definitely try Cape May since you all love seafood. I don't think you would be disappointed. But you are right, it is so hard to choose between all the great restaurants!

Great update!! :) Definitely going to Cape May in August, and if we end up staying there, I just might have to visit for breakfast too! :goodvibes

We loved Cape May for breakfast in Sept and I'd love to try dinner there. We are HUGE seafood people in my family...even Madison! From the looks of your food pictures, I know we'd enjoy dinner for sure.

We actually like their dinner better than breakfast. I'm sure you would like it since you all like seafood! :thumbsup2
All the desserts looked great.
Boo to only having one day left! :guilty:

The desserts were fantastic. Especially the one DS11 is holding up to show the inside, that one was great! :goodvibes

I know, it stinks that it's almost over.

Cape May looks really great! I have mixed feelings about buffets. I love that you can sample lots of dishes, and then get more of the things you like or scrap the duds. But I don't like thinking about all the humanity that has hovered over the food and handled the serving pieces. But in the end, the big spread trumps the germs.

Seafood is my favorite thing in the world! I love shrimp, crabs, crawfish, and fish, but I would never eat oysters, clams, frog legs or mussels (what the heck is that, anyway?) Did you notice what kinds of seafood Cape May has?

The desserts look delicious! Sweets are my weakness, but I think I embarrass my DH when we go to buffets. I want just one bite of almost every dessert. Of course, I feel so wasteful when I leave so much left on my plate. I wish they would make the portions tiny!

I can't believe your TR is about to come to an end! :sad1: I'm trying to figure out where your last day will be spent. :scratchin

Would love to try Cape May for dinner! I love seafood too!!

What WAS that dessert your DS was holding up???

Last day???? NOOOOOO!!!:sad1: So soon??
But we've been having so much fun!

Those desserts look so yummy Shelly. Great report as always!

Thanks Sea! :)

I have the same feelings about buffets. When you think about it, it really can gross you out. But in the end buffets are the best thing for our family. No worries about them having something on the menu for DS9. Or having to ask if they will make something that's not on the menu, etc. Plus no waiting on your food!

So yes, in the end the big spread trumps the germs.

We just use a lot of hand sanitizer during our meal. ::yes::

 Maybe we should make it a game and everyone can guess where we spent our last day. We had one day of tickets left and no plans. . . . What do you think?

Oh wait, I think I might have said something previously that gave it away. :headache::rotfl:

I figured you had already been to Cape May. You should definitely go there next time! :thumbsup2

The dessert -- I'm not sure. But it was good! :rotfl: There was an oreo cookie in there plus some kind of oreo/cookie&cream creamy fluffy filling inside. All covered in chocolate of course! :cloud9:

Yes, last day coming up soon.
