I Can Haz A Dizney Christmas? 12/15: Last Update Before the Trip

Oh I'm no help as I like the last dress by far the best! with flats it's parkable....

Last time I went I wore a hoodie, jeans, and flip flops. I think their only restrictions are torn pants and swim wear. I've seen plenty of people in t shirts so I don't think they're as strict as they let on.

I think you should be fine with something casual you wear to the parks as long as you're fully covered.

I vote the "goldish" jacket. It looks fun and festive! :santa:

I'm with Jen - the jacket with the gold shirt.

I really think that's going to be my choice.

LOL, I love that dress, too, but I'm so short, I don't own flats! :scared1:

:headache: You mean, no showing off my belly button ring and butterfly tattoo? :rotfl2: (No, I really don't have them. . .although I wouldn't mind the tattoo)

Think twice... no three times before you get the tattoo... I wish my butterfly would fly away :rotfl2:

The weekend before last, I went to the Disney Store with the family, and I made a few purchases. I am still buying t-shirts, knowing I'll wear a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath if it's cold.

Here are a couple of my purchases. . .

I got this jacket--I think it's adorable.

I picked this up at Walmart--I need to get a couple more.

I'm planning for a cold night at the Christmas Party, so I'm bringing this sweater along.

If you look in the Disney box, this is my bag for the parks, but it is highly likely I will not be carrying a bag into the parks unless I am going to need to change camera lenses.

And this is how the box is filled until last night, when I took another trip to the Disney store (pictures not taken yet), Kohls, WalMart, and Cato.

The Disney Christmas bag is a reusable shopping bag, which I thought would be useful for bringing home Christmas presents from Disney World.

Coming up. . .finalized Disney Dining Plans and the first day. . .

looks great!! I found out that the Disney Store near my parent's house in PA has reopened and it's HUGE!! I can't wait to attack it on Black Friday to prepare for my trip!!

That's awesome! I was sad to hear that the store is no longer carrying Disney dollars, though--that's how I pay allowance!

cute t's! I love the christmas shopper, perfect!

Thanks!

That Disney bag is too cute! That box is filling itself up quickly, huh?!

Woah, oah, oah, it's Magic! You know? :rotfl2:

I have some more stuff in there and I need to fiddle around with my camera some this weekend.

ETA: The ticker says 1 month! (Forget about the 4 weeks and 1 day--it says one month and I'm going with that!)

So, there you have it. My plans for meals. Yes--I am not spending a lot of time at the resort. That's okay--I'll be by myself and if I feel like slowing down and resting, I'll do it.

that is some fabulous looking dining you have planned! I'll look forward to hearing about the Captain's Grille Breakfast as we might do that.

Now that I have my meal plans, it's time to look at the day-to-day itinerary. I'll start off with day one--the travel day.

Now, I'm not all that good with sleeping the night before a trip, so the sooner I leave the better. Which leads me to my estimated departure time: 3:00am.

Yes, you read that right--3am. You might ask how I came up with this time. My normal wake up time for a trip has always been about 1:30am. I can go to sleep at 8pm, 10pm, even midnight, and I will find myself up at that unholy hour. The day before departure is a 1/2 school day for me, but a full day for the kids and dh. So, I thought I could go home, pack the car, and get some rest before picking up the kids. Then, I could clean house a bit, and turn in early--say 8pm.

Yes, that gives me a 5.5 hour night's rest, but I can't underestimate going home to take a nap the day before, nor my intentions to go to bed early every night that week.

So, this just leads me to my plans:

1:30am--up and get dressed/shower (not in that order)
2:00am--cup of coffee, check the DISboards one last time, and put my backpack in the car.
3:00am--depart home, giving dh a kiss on the cheeck before I leave.
6:00am--breakfast--McDonalds in Savannah area (will prob need gas here)
6:30am--back on road
9:30am--Starbucks in Jacksonville, FL
10:00am--back on the road
12:00noon--Should be coming into Disney World
12noon-1pm--Check in
1pm-2pm--head over to Epcot
4:10--dinner at Chefs de France
may go to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic but will probably go back to the resort and visit there and sleep.

sounds good!! Looks like you have lots of eating. I expect a full dining report when you get back :)

My plans are to do a dining report. Hopefully I'll remember to take pictures, lol!

I know Captain's Grille is awesome for dinner. I think breakfast will be equally yummy. They have a buffet in addition to ordering from the grill, so I will have to play that morning by ear.

I love when friends share their Disney finds... looks like a sneak trip to the Disney store is in order (Mon or Tues while DF is working... :rolleyes1)

Dining looks WONDERFUL!!!

Good luck with that night before/departure day! You've got more stamina than I do! Although, I think we all see/hear/feel Disney getting closer and suddenly we don't need much sleep at all!

LOL, after having three kids in diapers at the same time along with getting my Master's in Special Ed at that time, and working full time, I think my body just requires less sleep than it used to.

One day, I'll crash. But not yet. :thumbsup2

I have to share my newest buys soon. If I can get away from the computer long enough to put the pictures on the computer. (Yeah, that doesn't even begin to make sense.)

See, now that 1 month, 4 weeks does not look good. I keep looking at it and thinking, "Ya know, that's really 2 months"
