I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

I have not been to DQ in years either. The noise alone and the low light and crowds. :scared:

DS loved it so when he was a teen we just sent him alone. :rotfl:

I will admit I had panned a waterpark day too and bailed on it for the pool.

DTD is such a mess we just did a quick dip in for a sandwich and got out. :lmao:

So glad the girls had a blast and glad you are feeling better.

I am with you on Disney Quest. Ick. My brother enjoys it but luckily the last time we went, he had a friend with him so I didn't have to go in with him. :thumbsup2

The girls with their Starbucks are just TOO cute! Adorable.

Love Raglan Road! YUM!

A couple of posts above are the final pictures of Ireland (at the end of a long group of replies).
Looks like a great trip. And if they do go to Italy next year, that would be 2 places from my bucket list back to back. Jealous.

And for those who wondered, we went the first year it opened with our boys. I hated it then! The next trip they asked if we could go again and I was a bad mommy (as opposed to a bad bad baby). I told them it closed because no one was going. :lmao:
I remember going way back when. Probably around the time it first opened. I had a good time, but I wasn't all that impressed. The newer simulator type attractions look like they could be a lot of fun though.

Hmmm....I have no picture of my food. I must have just had a ceasar salad that evening (could have sworn I ordered a burger :confused3)
You're losing it, Kathy! :rotfl2:

The dancing began and the girls were all into it and then were asked if they wanted to join:
Cool! :thumbsup2

And then the picture I got in trouble with their daddy for
 :scared1: :faint:

Kathy!!! Why did you feel the need to corrupt those poor, sweet, innocent girls? I understand why he wasn't happy. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Yes, I have got the girls loving their Starbucks. So much so that they can both order their own fancy drink without any help. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
:sad2:

Thank you for that update... as when we get there i am going to ask the kids what they want to do... Not one option will be Disney quest.. I don't think they know what it is either... :thumbsup2

Raglan Road looks great, and my husband would love that Bailey's Shake! We may have to get him one.

Disneyquest. We've never done it. I think I could take it or leave it, but DH and my girls would love it.

YOu packed a lot in at DTD!

Fun pics from Vegas.
I love pool time there.
Cute turtle. Glad the chef in Olivia’s didn’t see or Turtle Soup might have been on the menu. LOl
Love taking the boat. Wish I was right now.
Never been to DisneyQuerst and we were premium ap holders. LOL.
Fun times at DTD.
Caught up.

I don't like DQ either. DH and DS were supposed to go together last year. I was going to get some "me" time. Alas, that did not happen. DH was sick almost the whole Disney trip. I got to take DS to DQ and the only thing I enjoyed was lunch. :rotfl:

Your poor DH being sick; but I feel even sorrier for you. ;)

I love Raglan Road. The girls look like they had a great time dancing. :) I do have one question though...why no Bread and Butter Pudding? Dang that stuff is amazing!

Trust me, if Mark had been there you would have seen the pudding (I don't care for bread pudding).

LOVE the pictures from Ireland. I hope I get to visit one day. My husband does not want to visit another country until our boys are much much older. :confused3

I don't think I'd want to travel to another country with young children either; the rest of the pictures were gorgeous too...but I didn't want to post them all here.

I think my husband wants to go back to Disney Quest so badly, the boys are just to an age where they might have fun. But I am always like "I'd rather spend the money for a special meal or in the parks on souvenir's."

I'm with you; and those ticket prices are really steep...even if you can spend the entire day there.

I love Raglan Road for the entertainment. My boys and I are not adventurous eaters and we ate there once, but no one finished their food (my husband wants to try it out, as he doesn't get to join us on most of the trips). We ate at the QS in the summer and my husband loved it.

We've never eaten at the QS...maybe we will go there on our DTD day. The entertainment is a lot of fun.

What a nice night at DtD!

It really was, Julie.

Raglan Road looks SO good! My mouth is watering! I was tempted to try it out on our last visit, but no ressies were available at the time we wanted. There's always next time, right? And the girls dancing -- so fun! :goodvibes

Your daughter would be adorable up there dancing with them. :)

We have never set foot in Disney Quest. I'm hoping I never will. But who knows? Every time I see it as "DQ" I think of Dairy Queen, the ice cream place. I think it's regional - I'm not sure if they have those all over.

I would much rather go to DQ--Dairy Queen. In fact, now that you brought it up, tonight might be a good night after dinner. :)

But I digress.

No worries...I like how you digressed.

Glad they have a good snack bar, but I agree, it would be nice not to have to pay full price for the adults who aren't playing.

It probably wouldn't have been so painful. :rotfl:

I hope that DTD construction wraps up. What a mess. You guys hit some good stores and Raglan Road looks good! Especially that Bailey's Shake!! How fun the girls got to dance. I love that they both got salads! One of my kids (Paige) loves caesar salad!

I'm with you; it is a mess and not fun going to because of it. Caesar salad is the only kind I'll eat. It's good the girls like salad.

Good for Mark on trimming down! I have got to start getting serious about that.

Thanks; I'm very proud of him...he feels better too. I have to start walking or something...this 39 years as a secretary sitting on my butt all day has taken a toll.

Love the Ireland pictures! They are both just too cute!

Thanks, MaryEllen.

OMG - I took the bus back to OKW on evening and it took an HOUR! :faint: Cynthia and I took a cab back one evening an the cabby gave us grief for only providing him a small fare because OKW it so close. Can't win!

Wasn't it horrible? And OKW is NOT that far away. If I were the cabbie, I'd be happy for the fare!

Love the pictures of the girls in their hats, on stage, and, of course, drinking Starbucks. :rotfl2:

Aren't they just adorable?

Raglan road looks like a ton of fun!

It is; I'm surprised you've never been.

I hate the view of DTD right now. I hope it looks better in October.

I'm not counting on it looking any better next month.

The first time I went to DQ I was not a fan. But if you've been in the 100 plus Florida heat with no rain for an entire week in June you learn to appreciate it. :rotfl2: It's an acquired taste. ;)

I don't think I'll ever acquire a taste for it. :rotfl2:

Have a great weekend! :goodvibes

Thanks; we did...we had a blast with the kids.

Caught up. Haven't rally been on the boards much lately. Trying to get the last burst of summer in.

Lorrie, I don't blame you; pool and weddings certainly are a priority over the DIS.

I have never been to Disney Quest and I hope to keep that going. Who knows though, my new DSIL and grandsons would love it there.

Ummmm...yes your DSIL and grandsons probably would.

Raglan Road is another place I've never been. My family tends to be very set and only like certain places and foods. Maybe one trip with just Jim and I.

I hope you and Jim give it a try; I think you two would like it.

Raglan Road is new to us, I have an ADR there in Sept but I was nervous about taking the kids there and on how loud it would be. Seeing the girls in there and dancing helped my nerves a bit. Looks like fun and the food looks yummy!

Jen, they will love it. Ask for a seat up front and not in the back room...it will be easier for the kids to participate.

Goofy Candy Co. , yummy!! Little Miss Match is my DD's favourite store. We always have to make a stop in there. :)

It's a cute store although I still don't understand the concept of the mismatched socks. It must be an age thing.

Too bad the construction is making the DTD experience a pain. I love the DTD area! Hopefully it will be a little better in Sept, but somehow I doubt it will. :sad2:

It's horrible and just makes it impossible to walk when it's 90 in the shade and trying to squeeze by people.

Great update Kathy

Thanks, Linda.

I do wish they would hurry up and get DTD finished as we love going there in the evenings

I know; it's so hard to get around or find a spot to sit and people watch.

I want to try and get over there on our next trip just to visit the co-op store which is awesome!

I have heard about that co-op store and hope to stop there in September.

I must say it looks like the girls had a ton of fun hanging out together at Downtown Disney!

They sure did, Phil.

We love Raglan Road - glad you enjoyed your meal there ... though I didn't know you were allowed to go there and not get the bread pudding :rotfl:

That's my hubby's thing, not mine.

The construction there has gotten me so down on DTD ... why is it taking them longer to build a parking garage than it took Universal to build Diagon Alley?!?!?!

Seriously! And add in all the other stuff and it's just a total disaster.

Hi there Kathy! I wasn't such a fan of Disney Quest either!

I bet Michael would be though. ;)

That was cute that the girls joined in on the dancing at RR. Like the girls I wasn't fan of their bread but their desserts were amazing. I wish I'd make time to head back there.

I didn't find the bread too bad; my drink was my dessert. :)

The Irish proverb items were perfect for Des. Loved the Ireland photos - that landscape is just so lovely.

I got the idea from Des' mom. She had gotten Andy a new wallet for his birthday and put Ireland money in it for him.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend with the kids.

Thanks; we had a great time with the kids. And luckily they are coming here for Labor Day weekend so we get more time with them before we head to Florida for 16 days.

Loved the update and you've convinced me...I've got to go to RR! Now I have to figure out how to fit it in! The trials and tribulations of going to WDW! Sighhhh :rotfl2:

Bill, I really think you and DW would like it. I know how that goes...you want to try new things and it's so hard to get them all in. I say we just all live at Disney for a few months and then we should be able to cover every restaurant. :lmao:

Fun dinner!!!

It was!

I have no desire to go to Disney Quest either....and you crack me up because I have said things like that to my kids too.....in fact I am avoiding a lot of talk about my upcoming weekend conference trip when Claire asks. :rotfl2:

Seriously, it was the only thing I could think of when they asked me on the very next trip.

I have to say Raglan Road wins over Rose & Crown for me . Carol only wants the dessert:rotfl2: She had withdrawel symptoms when we scipped it in May !!!:rotfl2:

There's not enough on the menu that I like and that's why Rose & Crown wins for me. Plus Rose & Crown has that Scotch Egg that my husband LOVES. You better put it back on for next trip or Carol may have to go without you.

A pretty dock and a nice boat ride that takes you to shop and play - :thumbsup2

What could be better, Caren?

Downtown Disney was a mess in July, but it's going to be very cool when it's all finished.

It will be very cool, I just wish they'd speed it up a tad.

I have not been to DQ in years either. The noise alone and the low light and crowds. :scared:

Enough to drive you over to Raglan Road for a drink!

DS loved it so when he was a teen we just sent him alone. :rotfl:

Smart woman!

I will admit I had panned a waterpark day too and bailed on it for the pool.

It's just so much easier...and cheaper!

DTD is such a mess we just did a quick dip in for a sandwich and got out. :lmao:

That's the best thing to do these days.

So glad the girls had a blast and glad you are feeling better.

Thanks, Pat. The darn cold is still lingering. I am probably going to the doctor tomorrow; she may want to put me on an antibiotic.

I am with you on Disney Quest. Ick. My brother enjoys it but luckily the last time we went, he had a friend with him so I didn't have to go in with him. :thumbsup2

Katie, that's good your brother had a friend. That place really is for boys.

The girls with their Starbucks are just TOO cute! Adorable.

I just crack up every time I look at that photo...especially Cayley's pose.

Love Raglan Road! YUM!

It is good...and fun too!

Looks like a great trip. And if they do go to Italy next year, that would be 2 places from my bucket list back to back. Jealous.

There's also talk of South Africa for some reason...I think it has to do with charity? I'm not keen on that idea at all.

I remember going way back when. Probably around the time it first opened. I had a good time, but I wasn't all that impressed. The newer simulator type attractions look like they could be a lot of fun though.

If you are in to those things which I am not.

You're losing it, Kathy! :rotfl2:

Honey, I lost it a long time ago. :lmao:

Cool! :thumbsup2

They had a lot of fun doing it.

 :scared1: :faint:

Oh it isn't that bad. ;)

Kathy!!! Why did you feel the need to corrupt those poor, sweet, innocent girls? I understand why he wasn't happy. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Hey, if you want to hang with the big girls and keep up, you need your caffine.

:sad2:

It's fun when I get a picture of them with their new drink. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you for that update... as when we get there i am going to ask the kids what they want to do... Not one option will be Disney quest.. I don't think they know what it is either... :thumbsup2

And there really isn't much reason to go that far when you are at DTD as there are no shops there. As long as you "stop" at the candy store and go no further, you will not see DQ.

Raglan Road looks great, and my husband would love that Bailey's Shake! We may have to get him one.

Clare, they are OUT of this world. I must have one each trip. You can get them at the outside bar too if you don't want to eat there.

Disneyquest. We've never done it. I think I could take it or leave it, but DH and my girls would love it.

So let them go and you shop. :)

YOu packed a lot in at DTD!

We did and had fun doing it (and my wallet survived!).

Fun pics from Vegas.

Thanks, Scott.

I love pool time there.

Pool time is great.

Cute turtle. Glad the chef in Olivia’s didn’t see or Turtle Soup might have been on the menu. LOl

Ewww...I don't like it to begin with and that is just sad.

Love taking the boat. Wish I was right now.

You and me both...especially since we are having a monsoon right now.

Never been to DisneyQuerst and we were premium ap holders. LOL.

Not worth it to me even if I was a Premium AP holder.

Fun times at DTD.

We did have fun.

Caught up.

:yay:; at least until the next update. :rotfl:

Looks like you all had a great trip! Subbing!

:welcome: thank you for joining. We did have a great trip; all of our girls trips have been very special.

I'll try to get an update done later this afternoon; I want to go do responses on the PTR first. I have to get moving...we only have 31 more days until Mark and I leave for our trip.

Hi Kathy! :)

I just got all caught up with your trip report. I love it! It looks like you all had a blast!! <3

The girls are adorable!! I loved their mermaid & princess ariel transformation.

Oh goodness...your story that you told your boys about Disneyquest had me... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: It SO sounds like something I would tell my kids! When we lived in town (as oppposed to living in the country like we do now) Jillian only knew the ice cream truck as the "music truck". I never told her there was ice cream in it! :rotfl:

I have no desire to ever visit Disney Quest. Luckily my kids and hubby have shown no interest either. Big deal, because my hubby is a BIG gamer...but no Disney Quest, because he is an ever BIGGER cheapskate. :lmao:

MMMM...Between you and D~ I just cannot get away from pictures of those delicious Starbucks drinks! I still haven't visited the new Starbucks up the street from where I work, because I know my weaknesses. I know that once I do go...it will become a HABIT quickly! :rolleyes1

Hi Kathy! :)

I just got all caught up with your trip report. I love it! It looks like you all had a blast!! <3

:yay: Yes we did have a blast!

The girls are adorable!! I loved their mermaid & princess ariel transformation.

They truly are the sweetest girls and I am so happy to have them in my life. :)

When we lived in town (as oppposed to living in the country like we do now) Jillian only knew the ice cream truck as the "music truck". I never told her there was ice cream in it! :rotfl:

I love it; the MUSIC TRUCK! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I have no desire to ever visit Disney Quest. Luckily my kids and hubby have shown no interest either. Big deal, because my hubby is a BIG gamer...but no Disney Quest, because he is an ever BIGGER cheapskate. :lmao:

It seriously is ridiculous how much they charge. And I don't blame your hubby at all!

MMMM...Between you and D~ I just cannot get away from pictures of those delicious Starbucks drinks! I still haven't visited the new Starbucks up the street from where I work, because I know my weaknesses. I know that once I do go...it will become a HABIT quickly! :rolleyes1

Oh trust me, I know ALL about the Starbucks habit. Just ask my kids? They laugh at me about how often I go. :rotfl2:

It is now Wednesday, June 4. We have today, tomorrow and I have part of the next day before this trip is over. :(

We got on the bus

and we headed back to

We weren't in a great rush to get there because we had our FP+ picked out and we were doing something before we hit any attractions this morning.

If I'm not mistaken, this was a first for the girls. We were having breakfast here:

A few pictures on the way:

We arrived at Tusker House and were seated immediately. We were put way in a back room, but the characters were already appearing so we hit that right:

We saw all the characters before we even hit the buffet.

I believe this was Avery's start to breakfast:

Daisy came back and Avery got a solo shot with her:

Avery also had a hard boiled egg:

I have no other pictures of our food...probably because we were a bit disappointed. I find that the quality of the food has gone downhill over our last two visits and they took out the Krispy Kreme donuts and put in donut holes? Seriously? What were they thinking? We also didn't have the best service at this meal.

We took care of the bill and headed out to our first attraction of the day.

Anyone want to guess where that would be?

After we finished our breakfast, we started the walk to our first attraction of the day.

Along the way, I took a couple of photos.

The place (right by Tusker House) where the new Festival of the Lion King would be shown:

I just love all the little details here.

Avery and I headed here:

While Mary and Cayley headed here:

Avery likes the ride...except the scary part. And, as a result of that, this is the picture she and I always get on the attraction:

But we had a blast. Cayley must have played a couple of games with Mom because when we met them, she had these:

Up next, the ride that does Miss Kathy in.

The girls look super cute, as always. Love their hats!

Sorry to hear Tusker House wasn't good; we were there in December and liked it quite a bit so hopefully it's not headed downhill.

I am with Cayley; I like Dinosaur as well, EXCEPT that dino part! It also gives me flashbacks to a scary moment - back in '08, I lost my purse on this ride, slipped right out. And of course, it had my ID in it, cards, money, etc - and I was going on a cruise a few days later. Luckily when the ride shut down for the night they were able to get it for me, and all in one piece. I think I hugged the Lost and Found person, I was so glad! :rotfl:

We have found Tusker House not to be as good as it use to be. I would go back but again miss certain things especially Donald taking his picture at the front. Why would they take him away :confused3 Love all your pictures of the details of AK, it is truly a very detailed park and very special to both Peter and I.

Oh No.. Tell me you didn't do the prime EVIL HURL!

as always the girls are just the cutest ever. I love Caley's hat!
