I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Looks like fun times at Animal Kingdom! I'm sorry that your breakfast at Tusker House wasn't great. We aren't going there this trip but some of our other family members are, I hope that they don't run into the same problems that you did.

And you left me wondering... did you do the Primeval Hurl again??! :rotfl:

I've never done breakfast at Tusker House. Sorry to hear that the service and food wasn't quite up to par. :sad2: Great luck with the character visits though!
Haha! LOVE the Dinosaur ride pic!!
The ride that did you in? Uh oh! Hmmm... Primeval Hurl?

I guess as long as the girls had fun at DQ, that's what matters.....

How fun that the girls got to get up on stage and dance! I love it when they bring the kids in.:) I'm going to try my darnest to get to Ranglan Road again. It's been since March 2012.

I always jump at the scary part on Dinosaur, even though I know it's coming. I guess I just can't be prepared. Fun regardless, though!:thumbsup2

Uh oh, "The ride that does Miss Kathy in???" Why do I think this is that ride that spins? Primeval Whirl??:confused3

The girls look super cute, as always. Love their hats!

I still don't think we've gotten to the day with Cayley's new hat? I can't remember...she had so many of them.

Sorry to hear Tusker House wasn't good; we were there in December and liked it quite a bit so hopefully it's not headed downhill.

I just thought the selection was not as good as in the past.

I am with Cayley; I like Dinosaur as well, EXCEPT that dino part! It also gives me flashbacks to a scary moment - back in '08, I lost my purse on this ride, slipped right out. And of course, it had my ID in it, cards, money, etc - and I was going on a cruise a few days later. Luckily when the ride shut down for the night they were able to get it for me, and all in one piece. I think I hugged the Lost and Found person, I was so glad! :rotfl:

Avery cracks me up everytime we ride it. That would have scared me too, Katie.

We have found Tusker House not to be as good as it use to be. I would go back but again miss certain things especially Donald taking his picture at the front. Why would they take him away :confused3 Love all your pictures of the details of AK, it is truly a very detailed park and very special to both Peter and I.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Yes, I am NOT happy about Donald not being out in front anymore. AK has really grown on me over the years to become a favorite park.

Oh No.. Tell me you didn't do the prime EVIL HURL!

Spoiler Alert: No...I did NOT ride the HURL!

as always the girls are just the cutest ever. I love Caley's hat!

Yes they are.

Beautiful morning so far, even with a not-so-great breakfast.

It was; I just love the AK.

I hope they have better luck too.

And you left me wondering... did you do the Primeval Hurl again??! :rotfl:

As mentioned above in the Spoiler Alert...it was NOT the Hurl.

I've never done breakfast at Tusker House. Sorry to hear that the service and food wasn't quite up to par. :sad2: Great luck with the character visits though!

The characters were awesome.

Haha! LOVE the Dinosaur ride pic!!

Thanks; just wish we could see Avery's face. :rotfl2:

Nope!

I guess as long as the girls had fun at DQ, that's what matters.....

Yes, that was all that mattered. Luckily, I won't have to do it again.

There was a little boy up there too who was as cute as could be...couldn't have been more than three years old.

I always jump at the scary part on Dinosaur, even though I know it's coming. I guess I just can't be prepared. Fun regardless, though!:thumbsup2

For some reason, that one doesn't make me jump or open my mouth like TOT.

Uh oh, "The ride that does Miss Kathy in???" Why do I think this is that ride that spins? Primeval Whirl??:confused3

Nope...you'll find out in the next update.

Those two girls are cutie patooties! You are not the only person that I've heard mention that Tusker House breakfast isn't as good as it used to be. That's too bad.

Cute little stuffed animals! Hunter won several after we parted ways with you guys.

Aren't they? I just love them to pieces. I hope it was just a bad day.

Why am I not surprised that Hunter went to play games? ;)

I want to get a short update in because I'm off to the doctor later this afternoon for hopefully an antibiotic; off of work tomorrow to go to the Cubs game with my boss, and Saturday I have my "secret" DIS meet and then we are going to see Andy and Des in their new apartment.

We had just finished in Dinoland and it was time to do the ride I feared the most. Luckily, we had enough time after breakfast that I wasn't going with a full tummy.

No, it was not Primevil Hurl.

It was this:

Avery and I had a FP+ for this (we could have gone twice using Mary and Cayley's bands but I knew ahead of time that was NOT going to happen).

We walked through the FP+ line and before you knew it, we were in the row for our train and would be the very next riders. Nothing like giving me a little time to prepare myself.

I was fine until we went backwards. From that time on, I thought I was going to lose whatever was in my stomach. I love Avery but I told her this is the LAST time I am doing this ride.

Proof we did it (and she loves it...her mother is going to have to suck it up or we will have to bring Mr. Mark if we ever do another girls' trip).

We had a FP+ for the Safari, but the girls weren't feeling it since we had already done it. They decided they'd rather go over to the Magic Kingdom earlier than our dinner ADR.

We saw these guys on our way out.

We walked to the bus area and waited about 15 minutes for a bus to the Magic Kingdom.

Up next, dinner at the MK and some rides

Don't feel bad, Kathy, John says that the backwards part of Expedition Everest is why he won't ride it again. I love the ride picture of the two of you. You at least look like you are enjoying yourself. :rotfl:

Expedition Everest is intense. The backwards part didn't bother me so much, but the intense turns after the drop are something else. Still love it, though!

I am so sorry breakfast was a bit of a dissapointment but the girls sure look adorable in those dresses!

That may be the funniest Dinosaur picture I have ever seen.

I hate to say this but before you know it, Avery will be old enough to go on EE in single rider line, without any of you.

It's a wonderful and horrible thing, all at once.

I love the ride photo of you both on EE!! I have only ridden it one time shortly after it opened so hopefully I can handle it in a couple weeks!

It is now Wednesday, June 4. We have today, tomorrow and I have part of the next day before this trip is over. :(

It always goes too fast.

Oh good, you got the Stitch picture. I know you were thrilled.:thumbsup2

I have no other pictures of our food...probably because we were a bit disappointed. I find that the quality of the food has gone downhill over our last two visits and they took out the Krispy Kreme donuts and put in donut holes? Seriously? What were they thinking? We also didn't have the best service at this meal.

Sorry to hear that.

We took care of the bill and headed out to our first attraction of the day.

Anyone want to guess where that would be?

Dinosaur! (I peeked)

I just love all the little details here.

::yes:: Animal Kingdom seems to have even more of those details than the other parks.

While Mary and Cayley headed here:

You and Avery win. :rotfl2:

Up next, the ride that does Miss Kathy in.

Uh oh.

Tusker House use to be a must do for us until last time when the selection wasn't that great and the service was not good. From now on we go to Boma's.

I am not a huge fan of Dinosaur, just all the bouncing along and my DD hates that ride she looks like Avery on the whole ride not just at the scary part. :rotfl: My DH and DS on the other hand love that ride.

Did you go to the Lion King show? If so how was it since it moved?

Expedition Everest has become one of my top favourite rides... this and Tower of Tower! Love it.. we usually go at least twice if not up to four times switching off because my DD again does not like the drop on this ride.

Sounds like you guys have a great day in AK so far!

Two awesome updates :thumbsup2

Love the girls dresses, they look cute as always. Love the magic photo with Stitch.
This is the update I had been waiting for ;) Tusker House, but I ended up already cancelling our ADR a few weeks ago. My boys seem less than interested in the characters and I don't want to spend that much for possibly not good food.

LOVE the Dinosaur picture, those are the kind of pictures we get on rides too. lol
That was so nice of you to ride EE for/with Avery. I really enjoyed the ride, but my back does not.

Hooray for a DISmeet this weekend :goodvibes can't wait to see who you meet up with.

Cute dresses on the girls!!

Sorry to hear breakfast was just "eh" -- but looks like you had some good character interactions!

The picture on Dinosaur is perfect -- I think that ride must produce some of the funniest ride pictures (we have one with DH that cracks me up!) :lmao:

I love EE - so exhilarating! But I can see why it isn't a favorite for some!

I love Everest, but Ryan doesn't ride most coasters. Thankfully my brother and sister in law are roller coaster junkies so I'm not alone.

I know who your secret DISmeet is!! (And it's not me). I have plans to meet up with them in September!

Catching up again. So cool the girls got to do Irish dancing (it's my favourite kind :goodvibes) I didn't know they sold Irish stuff in DTD as well

I love the hats that the girls were trying on. They both have awesome bags as well that I want!

We did Tusker House as well and weren't fans! Momma didn't like the waiter annoying her the whole time (the story is in one of my trip reports) and there was only three characters when we were there!

Fair play for going on Everest at all. I won't. If it looks like a coaster and goes fast like a coaster i'm staying on the ground :lmao:

Thread hijacking (sorry Kathy) :

HOW AWESOME! I LOVE the Ireland Disney store!!! Just look how beautiful everything is there.. 8 more years hope to be there!!!
I'm from Ireland and get to go to the Irish Disney store once a week when my dance class is on... They have their own range of Irish plushies and t-shirts and stuff as well:

Great pictures from Ireland. Sounds like it was a fantastic trip.

You survived DQ- nicely done. The Pirates ride is about the only thing I like there. I also dislike how rude people are about hogging the games and never leaving, and when they do, someone tries to swoop in and cut my kids who have been waiting patiently.

I haven't been to Ragland Road, but it is a much better follow-up to DQ than T-Rex. That was a night full of overstimulation!

I LOVE that you told the boys it had closed. Maybe I should tell my boys the Lego store moved. It would save me a LOT of $$$.

How fun that the girls got up to dance.

:thumbsup2

I love the girls' adorable dresses!

I'm sorry to hear that Tusker House was disappointing. We went in 2008, but I don't think we will be rushing back.

Yay, Dinosaur! The picture is hilarious. I am too cheap to purchase ride photos, but I shelled out money for one from this ride where my boys look absolutely terrified. :rotfl2:

Sorry that you didn't feel great after EE :(
